About this mod

This is a sorta reworked version of my old mod Monster Facial Animation. Most notable changes are that it doesn't include Vampire Lords, instead player werewolves can possibly be unique to other werewolves.

I've abandoned this project until further notice. If you have any questions, drop me a PM.

This mod is a sorta reworked version of Monster Facial Animation that's been dusting around on my dead account. The original purpose of that one and this one, is that it breathes more life to werewolves and werebears by giving them separate head parts with facial movements (i.e. blinking, lipsyncing and facial expressions). And the main purpose of this update is that I wanted my werewolf character to be extra unique while still being able to use the aforementioned features.

So how it works is that technically the player will transform to the default werewolf race but which has been altered to use standalone meshes and textures, while all vanilla NPC werewolves' race has been changed to an additional "werewolf npc" subrace, even those who are seen transforming at some point in the game, unless you have Diverse Werewolves Collection installed. And yes, even followers who transform through third party mods will transform into the NPC-based werewolf race, such as Amazing Follower Tweaks or Werewolf Followers.

This mod also comes with a version that's adapted for Growl, as well as an add-on for DWC.

Before you install, make sure you uninstall MFA if you have it.

Manual installation:
Download the main file, open the archive in some ZIP program, drag-and-drop the Data folder to your Skyrim directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition) and enable the plugin in a mod manager of your choice.

Make sure you load this mod after any other mod that changes the werewolf race (such as Growl)!! Otherwise the player werewolf will be headless!

And if you're using Moonlight Tales SE, make sure you fully disable the skin option.

To install new textures for your own werewolf, you need to find a werewolf retexture of your choice and place it in the following folder(s):
Skyrim Special Edition/Data/Textures/actors/character/werewolf/Male (respective Female)
Also, make sure you make a backup of said folders before you install any updates, otherwise they will be overwritten by the vanilla textures.

You don't need to do this thing if you install the Apex Werewolf patch, these parts uses the same texture path as the original Apex Werewolf mod.
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\Apexwerewolf)

Here are some nice texture packs that I can recommend that you take a look at:
Bellyache's Animal and Creature Pack
KrittaKitty's HD Werewolves
