About this mod

This mod adds a tower with two guest beds to Breezehome. The tower also has an enchanting nook.
The main house decor has changed slightly.

Permissions and credits
Requirements: Skyrim SE, update, Hearthfires add-on.

This modification adds a BYOH-style tower to Breezehome. The tower is ready and belongs to the house when you purchase it but the bedrooms do not come furnished. Buy furniture for your own bedroom and the guestrooms will be furnished also.

The first and second floors of the tower are small guest spaces with single beds for your followers, while the third floor has an enchantment table. If you pick the alchemy laboratory for your downstairs add-on, the ecnhanting room gains a small sitting area. If you choose to change your alchemy chamber into a child's bedroom, the sitting area changes into a small alchemy table.

The main house has undergone some small visual changes but the layout of the house has not changed. Most of the common furniture is now upper furniture in style (including everyone's beds), there are more rugs about and the house is generally tidier (and perhaps a bit more stylish) than it used to be. When you purchase the dining area, you will also redo the floor of your alchemy chamber/children's bedroom.  You will find an absolutely safe brazier in your own bedroom. It will definitely not burn the house down!

I have only used vanilla assets in the tower and in the house. Therefore the house changes with your texture and lighting mods. Apropos, I have added a few light sources in the house, most of them omnidirectional and small in radius.

Version 1.01 has open guestwing access and Lydia's bed belongs to Lydia only. However, because my Lydia will not sleep anywhere else but in the ground floor guest bed, I added version 1.1.

In version 1.1. Lydia's bed is no longer under the "housecarl faction", i.e. others can use it to sleep, too. Both guest bedrooms have doors added to them. The ground level door is closed by default while second story door is open.

With so many amazing Breezehome overhauls about, why make yet another version?

I made this mod for myself, spesifically to be used with the "Legacy of the Dragonborn" -mod. I am only going to haul every item I find to the Museum anyway, so I think I want a house that does not even try to showcase my findings. What I do want though is beds for friends.  I usually have a maximum of two people with me at one time, so I settled for two guest beds. The master double can serve as extra in an emergency. I had intended to personalize the rooms more but in the end I decided on light-themed and darker-themed rooms that anyone could use. (Just chase Lydster out of the lower guest room. She seems to like it there. Convenient or something. And after I prettified her own room for her as much as I could, because she is the one spending the most time in Breezehome! Go to your own bed, Lydia.)

Breezehome itself is a fairly modest place and I wanted it to remain as such. It does belong to a Thane though, and therefore should , in my opinion, be a step above your average farmhouse in decor. I wanted to tidy it up and make it a bit more stylish. I did not think the original Breezehome was as home-y as it could have been. There were also things I never could understand, like the raw potatoes on the bedroom table...

I chose not to include a baking oven or other BYOH -things, because they belong to bigger and grander houses, in my opinion. I wanted there to be a reason for me to build a Hearthfires house or download a house-mod. I wanted a swankier look but in a simple house. I also kept the buy-your-furniture thing and included the guest rooms and the tower top, because I think it's FUN to watch the house fill up with things.

If you agree with me on some of these points, then perhaps your Dovahkiin will enjoy this version of Breezehome as well. :)
