Anyone know if this mod has a problem with Water for ENB mod? It used to work before but now I guess its conflicting with some water mod I have and it stopped working completely.
Am I to understand that this mod does NOT work for any followers or enemies? That's not okay. Also, Realistic Water 2 needs a patch. If those two things were handled, this mod would be in my load order even if it wasn't an ESL because its so damned cool. But be nice if it was an ESL, hehe.
Please patch for RW2 and fix so followers and enemies slow down in water.
Billions of load orders, infinite possible conflicts. The reality, if you want to mod your game your conflicts are your problem. It will take you 60 seconds to edit this into RW2. You want a patch? You want it added to followers? You want it for the water mod of your choice? You want ESL? Do you want me to come to your house and install it all for you too? Maybe clean your PC and fold your laundry? You say the mod is not OK then ask for four changes. That is a good way to get a bunch of modders to block you from content.
@Phantomhate, I found a better wade in water mod. That's what's so cool about free market and capitalism. Someone will do it better when you don't. Mods are no different. If you complain about a mod, and I have that right, someone will come along and do it better. That's how mods get better, Phantomhate, squeaky wheel gets the grease, constructive criticism, etc. So yeah, you can come to my house and scrub my backside.
So, uhh, I looked at your mods, and you can ban me. Have a nice day.
As a free market capitalist myself, i tend to agree with DizzyXC on a fundamental level but applying that logic to a community that shares content for FREE is sorta...uh, not quite right.
truth be told, the "Free market" is ran by mod makers, who are slowly realising they're getting a crap deal, so they are all hiding their mods behind paywalls.
Largely, it's because entitled downloaders think mod makers are providing a service (They're not) for stuff they willingly share for FREE. So with that added pressure of bug squashing, updates, compatibility patches, all requires huge sums of time that otherwise professionals would get a living wage for. The main benefactors are the site host themsleves who get the ad revenue.
Can you blame mod makers for paywalling their content when faced with entitled shitty attitudes like that? I Dont.
DizzyXC comparing modding community to capitalism is the most "i am very smart" neckbeard-ish comment I've read this week. Even as supporter of capitalism you don't even understand what the hell that means. Hayek would be laughing in his grave.
This was 100% currency free with author ownership protected and it got popular.
Donations were included and Nexus modders began receiving currency. This gave us lots of junk mods, broken mods, mod rip-offs, and lots of Redit fights. We got some new mod authors with bad attitude and sloppy work too.
Collections are more about Nexus service than user files. This service is the excuse to claim rights to all mods in the data base. Nexus gave a tiny window to remove mods before they took ownership and many of us had no idea it was happening. I got the notice and was not able to remove my creations before Nexus claimed them.
This is no longer a currency free sight. Nexus has claimed all property not removed from the data base and all property added. We can assume Nexus plans it's future years and has goals. I do not know if the currency Nexus collects is even notable. I do know this site had less selfishness when there were no donations. It lost good mods and modders when it took ownership of mods and collections seem to attract players that keep asking for more and give nothing back but complaints.
My summary? Nexus likely has a growth plan to take in more currency. It may change names or be sold. It could go full retail for collection or for everything. They could even become the next Steam or Origin. Either way Nexus is no longer the great currency free mod sight where authors own their creation. The best people are gone or silent. The golden age of Nexus is dead. There retail age is likely in the works. I have over 200 mods never released here because Nexus claimed our rights for collections and people like this "squeaky wheel" deserve nothing.
This is the only water speed mod that works for me in VR. I removed the condition "is swimming 0" and it responds for wading and swimming well. I also increased the reduction amount. I am happy to finally find something that can make this possible.
I do not have Skyrim active so I am looking at this with masters removed in FO4Edit and I will do my best to help. I see SPELL XX000801 tdgssewiw_AbSpeedModification. Click that spell and scroll down to CONDITIONS. Everything is numbered starting with zero. Right click condition zero and select remove. Happy modding.
Nice concept, just wish it was extended to snow, sand and mud terrain as well. Of course, NPC's would be the icing on the cake. Regarding water compatibility, we just need to add the "Causes Damage" flag in xEdit to get it working with your mod? Thx

Perhaps this really is the market responding.
