Maybe you can drop the damage and scale it by adding different material shurikens too. So the best ones may still be 90 or something but iron being 90 is a cheat.
Also if you want I can add a hardcoded no auto-return for the weapons added by your mod.
The base damage is 40. 90 is just there because I have maxed one-handed with perks. Do you think it should be lower? I would have to make different meshes for all of them though, if I were to make a variety - and I'm a total amateur with the whole process, so it takes a long time. Time that I'm lacking in.

It would just detect if the weapon that is about to be thrown is from your mod. And make it auto return automatically. That way, even if people select daggers to be auto-return, your shurikens would never auto return.
Hmm. Well I don't think it's necessary. I'd like to let people choose between the two styles. If they want a highly enchanted one that they can never lose, they'll have that option.
To be honest a hardcoded option would be great. I love the throwing weapon mod (a few conflicts with some of my mods but nothing major just can't throw modded torches that have enchantments) and the shurikens are a welcome addition. Are you planning on making any more throwing weapons? There's a bunch from old throwing weapon mods that realigned would be great like reversing the spears for a throwing varient. If you can't get permission I was thinking of making some myself if you'd want the help. I'm pretty useless at coding but I could make models and textures for Kunai, Spears.
A bola or boomerang could be fun but I have no idea how that would work with the engine.

Anyway, I hope you consider adding other material shurikens too. Like Steel, Dwarven, Ebony, Glass, Elven, Daedric, Orcish etc.
