Download 1 : what you can see on picture 1 and 2.
Download 2 : what you can see on picture 3, 4 and 5.

(so this are 2 different versions, take what you like!)

    To clarify the comments here:

    1) i dont use sharpening filters. Only because Bethesda used it for SSE, it doesnt mean I would do that, too.
    2) This is not a "upscale + recolor"; 3 new textures merged by overlay in specific ways in version 1.0.
    3) it is improved from the SSE vanilla. SSE vanilla does not have higher resolution than this retexture.
    4) if you prefer SSE vanilla, and dont want to unpack it yourself, you can download here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1tfvutuiyfd964t/AAABplvV5yxGa3e1_1zliyNGa?dl=0
    5) i am working on a new version, upload soon.

here you see the resolution comparison:
    left: SSE vanilla smallnordictent01 diffusal,
right: my HD retex Work in Progress

I don't like the style at all. It's too grungy looking, and it doesn't fit well with the environment. Total eyesore. I DO like the hunters tent alternative. But it too is out of place. I like the clarity of it, and that's what I'm seeking for the other.

I feel like no one has seen what a real fur skin looks like. I blame PETA for that.

Yeah what a funny situation everyone seems to be modeling these after those fake fur carpets you find at your local supermarket not having seen real fur.....but hey on the flipside maybe this winter of freezing without electricity will bring back fur coats as they are the best for keeping warm ahahah

I'm sorry but really, this retexture is really really bad. It's even worse considering the 4K is 100MB+ in size yet looks so bad in game...

I just took a look at the tents over the Reach and the textures look just as badly stretched out as vanilla...if not worse

I always run Cathedral Optimizer against any meshes or textures to reduce any potential problems. Normally Cathedral doesn't make any changes, even on the 8k textures which I have. I think that's because they "pass inspection" of some kind. Note that I use the basic "SSE" setting.

But with this mod Cathedral made these changes:

All four textures were reduced to 20MB in size with no loss in visual detail as far as I can tell. Here are the comparison shots:

I'm wondering why there's no snow on the tents for this mod? Hopefully there's no incompatibility with any of the snow mods that are supposed to add that.

EDIT: Never mind about the snow, that's just part of the texture (not added). btw, I am using this mod and enjoy it. ENDORSED.

Yes indeed. I did run them through CAO too and reduced sizes to 21.33 MiB

I recently removed this when it was overwritten by a big mod pack.

Immediately noticed the decrease in quality and reinstalled. Underappreciated mod :)

Was browsing back at this after years or however long it's been.
I thought I recognized that first screen! I was having Deja-Voo, what do you know it is mine xD

Real happy to make the main image man, your work is amazing, I love it still!

File size is way too big for 4k, they are ~ 22 mb normally, yours are 87 mb which is 8k file size.

That is because of how I compressed them. 4k resolution in-game doesn't automatically mean that that is their data size.
I used DTX5 compression as it creates fewer fragments.

Hey, this mod looks excellent in game, and I did not notice even a slight stutter while looking at the tent. it looks so natural and real, I really dig it, thank you

Textures need compression. Much higher size than 4k textures by other content creators.

    I have 980 Ti superclocked at 1.5 GHz SLI, that's 6k vRAM a pop.
and your mod causes massive stutter. fix it.
