While nothing bests a great ENB, they can, for many, completely tank FPS.SKYRIM RE-SHADED is an attempt to bring ENB style colour, tone, sharpness, and effects while maintaining the highest possible performance levels.
Included:
At present, this mod includes four ReShade presets. Each is designed with a different aesthetic in mind, each created to have a minimum impact on performance:
- Wild West - Features enhanced colours with sepia tones, ambient lighting, fine detail sharpening and slightly darker nights and dungeons. Sunsets evoke the wonder of a new world and campfires call out in vibrant orange to the weary traveler.
- High Fantasy - Features vibrant, magical colours, crisp texture sharpening, and contrasting lights and darks to reflect the high fantasy dichotomy of good vs evil.
- Grim Winter - Showcases the rugged nature of Skyrim with a muted colour palette, detailed filmic sharpening, film grain, and ambient lighting.
- Clear View - Remains more true to Skyrim's natural palette while enhancing while creating more vibrance and light. Detailed sharpening brings out the beauty of texture mods and makes it feel as though a fog has been lifted.
Compatibility:
This mod is compatible with all other mods, except for other Re-Shade presets (as only one can be run at a time). Indeed, this mod is best accompanied by texture and lighting mods. It works equally well with all the various weather mods, texture packs, and even ENBs.
Performance:
Tested on mid-range machines, these presets reduce fps by 2-4. My higher range rig reported no fps drop, and a very low range laptop reported a 3-7 fps drop.
