I see that there are a couple of red lines in SSEEdit caused by "Yggdrasil Music." Should I do something about it, or is it enough to place "Around the Fire" lower in the load order ?
Depends on what you want : if you don't mind Around the Fire overwriting the tavern music (and just the tavern music, the rest will still be there) that's present in Yggdrasil, just place the Around the Fire plugin below Yggdrasil. If you want both, you'll have to create a patch
Actually, "Yggdrasil" doesn't add new music to the tavern at all; instead, it disables it. If you give "Around the Fire" a higher priority in the load order, it starts playing again, so the patch isn't necessary as far as I understand.
The music added by this mod only plays when the bards aren't playing - it adds (or replaces) the non-diagetic music, it doesn't touch the music payed by the bards
Okay, thank you for the clarification. I guess what I'm looking for is something that slides into the background ambiance a bit more.
Maybe run it through a reverb filter and quiet it down a bit so it sounds like its coming from somewhere rather than directly into the players ears like a headphone.
This mod chooses to mimic the production style of the vanilla tracks (which also uses the same kind of close mic-ed instruments for the tavern tracks), and is volume matched with the vanilla soundtrack - if I were to change that, the new music would no longer fit with the vanilla tracks. They are also already pretty drenched in reverb, which is also a stylistic choice of the vanilla OST.
I think you may indeed be looking for something that strays further from the vanilla production style, which this mod isn't looking to do
Hi organicview. I know there is at least two bundles with your mods included but I wanted to ask your permission to port standalone versions of your Skyrim ost mods to Xbox including this one, you will receive the credits of course
For me most of the music mods feel out of place and just don't blend very well with skyrim so huge props to you guys for this amazing mod. It just fits in very well, greatly improves immersion and feels new. Nicely done!
Thanks! Musical Lore will not conflicts with Around the Fire, but it will conflicts with most of my other music mods. That being said, making a music patch in SSEEdit is really easy :)
You can find the raw .wav files for Around the Fire, Hun Lovaas and Melodies of Civilization here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vYl0D4lVaV2-H0GEAA3wo2YWdQfVzEGL?usp=sharing
I'm afraid I don't have high quality files for Still anymore, due to a hard drive crash. I still have the original album's tracks in HQ, but those also have nature sounds in them. My setup has also changed quite a bit since I've written that album, so I can't access the original project files and re-export them without the nature sounds.
Thank you so much for you're troubles and providing links for use. From now on a big fan of you're work and HIGHLY recommended as far as i'm concerned.

Its immersion breaking to hear songs at full volume while in a different part of the tavern.

You are the composer of Hun Lovaas and Still i found out.
Amazing good work and in my opinion you can replace Jeremy Seoul as the new composer for TES6.
One question, could you provide me a link with flac or wav files version of this mod too?
That would be awesome. Thnx
