CHANGELOG MANAGEMENT:
  • Page built-in Changelog dropdown will ONLY provide change information relevant to the current build on the floor
  • Predecessor update history transfers into a dedicated [MPXP] CHANGELOG TRANSMISSION QUEUE FORUM which will accumulate in old changelogs until it begins to look congested or requires more then 2 mouse wheel scrolls to reach the bottom
  • Beyond that; older stuff gets transferred to a provided .txt (optional to install in FOMOD) called "[MPXP] Full Historical Changelog"
EXCLUSIVE TO THIS PAGE:
PAGE REQUIREMENTS DROPDOWN:
  • I list in the requirements dropdown that this page requires only USSEP but obviously, that is untrue, depending what you choose to use
  • The Description page and Load order examples (per user observed option choice) provide links to the requirements relevant to that option
GENERAL MODULE USE:
  • Use correct Mod Version Modules geared towards (I will keep ONLY the Description Page informing that)
  • If N/A (not applicable) is stated for some Mod Versions; based on reasonable assumption, its because it likely isn't crucial
PREREQUISITES TO ALL MODULES: Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
LEGEND USED IN SOME PLUGIN LOAD ORDERS SHOWN ON PAGE:
Its to aid in more complex Plugin stacks offering that extra insight and peace of mind where certain extra things would go in the event they are used
  • [R] Means "Real Requirement"
  • [E] Means "Example". Listed for reference purposes, where it would be placed, in the event the user desires it was in the setup. Not Requirement

  • PROBLEM: After generating your LODs, the DBMRocks respawn to there native positions (even though MPXP disables/drops them -30K)
  • SOLUTION: Provided DynDOLOD rule sheets are pre-packed per your installer choice that remedies the issue 95% of the way. The remainder is a manual job done by the user instructed below:
  • 01) In Windows Explorer > click "View" tab (along toolbar somewhere) > enable "File name extensions" checkbox
  • 02) Find "Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Rules\DynDOLOD_SSE_legacyofthedragonbornv5esm_tamriel.patch" inside your DynDOLOD.exe directory path
  • 03) This is a ".patch" file so your Windows (more then likely) will not know what to open it with. In order to proceed, follow step 04 below
  • 04) Right click on file > Open With > Notepad (Notepad++ recommended). If unlisted, select "choose another app" > Find it > Select it...
  • 05) Some lines in the rule sheet must be commented out by placing ; before them
LINES ARE LISTED BELOW (QTY:04) WITH ONE SEMI-COLON ; TO COMMENT THEM OUT AS SUCH:
Line 4 (last I checked) => ;copy2esm=legacyoftheDragonborn.esm;0013DD6E,Record Header\Record Flags=0,Cell=skyrim.esm;000092BA

  • PROBLEM: DynDO copies Child Worldspace refs and places them in Tamriel. The placement per these SolitudeWorld copied Refs do not matchup to the layout of the Refs placed in the Tamriel Worldspace combined with these Solitude combo overhaul designs and also renders up close to Player
  • SOLUTION: This is a manual job done by the user instructed below:
  • 01) In Windows Explorer > click "View" tab (along toolbar somewhere) > enable "File name extensions" checkbox
  • 02) Find "Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Configs\DynDOLOD_SSE_childworld_SolitudeWorld.ini" inside your DynDOLOD.exe directory path
  • 03) This is an ".ini" file so incase your Windows does not know what to open it with, follow step 04 below
  • 04) Right click on file > Open With > Notepad (Notepad++ recommended). If unlisted, select "choose another app" > Find it > Select it...
  • 05) You need to add Redbag's Solitude.esp to a section within the .ini file shown below:
AS IT IS BY DEFAULT:
Line 13 (last I checked) => ; list of plugins to disable copying of references
Line 14 (last I checked) => NoScanIfPluginExists=Open Cities Skyrim.esp,SR Exterior Cities.esp,Exterior Cities Solitude SR.esp, Alternate Skyrim.esp

[0.0] LOD UNLOCKER
ASSETS OF SOLITUDE FOR DYNDOLOD "ThouShaltBowToMaster"
WHAT THIS PACKAGE PROMOTES:
Spoiler:
Show

LITTLE SAY:
  • It always bothered me how far one could view Solitude in full before it began to disappear. Not everything but lots from the entire area would begin to pop in and out of view despite being out of rendering range. This is particularly an absolution in regards to all the different rock models. Using Sheson's Masterpiece of a Patching Tool "DynDOLOD" for along time and depending how its instructed to generate LODs; it has always worked brilliantly. Only area I found that had issues was Solitude. I have spent a lengthily amount of trial and tribulation as to get the end result I have always been looking for. Testing is the real time consumer here.

WHAT THE MODULE DOES:
  • Reason behind why many of the objects apart of Solitudes exterior foundation fail to Render afar even when using DynDOLOD is their BaseID's and some RefID's (Skyway) are not staged to be seen super far. They need a particular flags set and targeting LOD models. This Is achieved in the LOD Unlocker Module
  • Without the use Of DynDOLOD - Okayish Improvement. Nothing I would drool over. This Unlocker is geared for LOD Generation
  • With the use of DynDOLOD produced custom mod stack LODs - supreme full Solitude (Cells to be seen away)

WHAT THE DYNDOLOD RULES DO:
  • DynDOLOD's prescription medication how its to Generate Its LODs pertaining to those Base Objects Contained their in. The INI's are editable for the user using Notepad++ (Recommended) but at default as I have done them; it works quite well
  • All the presets of rules are the same for Low, Medium or High LODs based upon the users selection at the DynDOLOD Prompt. So you can have a low LOD game (lower quality, better performance) but it will still take into account special attention to be enforced on the outside of the Solitude area
  • The LOD Unlocker Module is just as Important as the rules for DynDOLOD because of the BaseID and RefID edits done

HOW TO USE THE DYNDOLOD RULES:
  • The LOD Unlocker Advocate will house the most rules relevant to Solitude's Exterior
  • Other Modules for Example in [1.0] MAIN COMBO OVERHAULS [1.0] will have their own DynDOLOD Rule Templates which will house rules for objects that only come from that mod alone. All the rules from all the sheets will then add to the list of rules along with the Main LOD Unlocker into DynDOLOD's Information Bank
  • The same BaseID changes implemented into the "Solitude Exterior LOD Unlocker Advocate" need to be carried forward into the remainder modules housed on page That's why I have to update the entire page so everything like veins and arteries courses the blood pumped by the LOD Unlocker. Cant have different plugins editing same records being promoted from the LOD Unlocker in their own different way. Everything has to sync and handshake

AN ILLUSTRIOUS; GRAND SOLITUDE EXTERIOR COMBO-OVERHAUL WITH ADDED FEATURES

[1.0] MAIN COMBO OVERHAULS
COMPATIBILITY NOTES AND NEW FEATURES:
Spoiler:
Show

COMPATIBILITY NOTES (FOR SOME BIG-NAME MODS & MISCELLEANEOUS RANDOMS):
  • COMPATIBLE (out-of-the-box): JK's Skyrim, Dawn of Skyrim (Director's Cut) SE and Enhanced Solitude SSE
    • The ONLY Solitude City EDITED (plugin customary) VanillaID Navmesh carried in MPXP1.0 are from LotD Gate to Courtyard. Rest of inner-city is untouched
    • Since MPXP 1.0 has several modules excluding TGCoS as the exterior overhaul, creative users can experiment with 3rd-party exterior combination overhauls
  • COMPATIBLE (out-of-the-box): Northern Roads
    • I chose to flag this as COMPATIBLE (out-of-the-box). For the amount of edits MPxP does to LANDForms would be a very petty/non-essential NR Patch
    • MPxP edits ONLY 3-4 Landscape (Base Signature: LAND) records essential to be winning over Northern Roads (or whatever else mod) for Skyway entrances
    • Allowing MPxP edits (for these 4 LAND FormIDs) to be winning over Northern Roads edits (for the same LAND FormIDs) would only result in a painting mismatch in Landscape style. NR has a particular style of how it paints its landscape and MPxPs are not painted same coloring as Northern Roads
    • That is not considered an incompatibility but a painting inconsistancy for neighboring NR LAND painted records mating to MPxPs at Skyway entrances
    • If a patch for MPxP was to ever be created repainting these 4 LAND-Forms Northern Roads style, that would be done so by the Northern Roads patch team or a third-party Landscape painter whom wishes to do so and upload externally. MPxP will not be supplying NR patches. There is enough going on here as is
    • You will require Northern Roads patches for the other mods you mix in your overall Solitude exterior overhaul setup and in correct load order recipe
    • If of interest, there are a few posts in the Post Section on Northern Roads subject that can be found at LINK01 and LINK02
  • COMPATIBLE (support patches): JK's Blue Palace (QTY:8)
  • COMPATIBLE (support patches): JK's Blue Palace Combined with Palaces and Castles Enhanced SSE (QTY:2)
  • COMPATIBLE (support patches): Palaces and Castles Enhanced SSE (QTY:6)
  • COMPATIBLE (support patches): RedBag's Solitude (QTY:2), perfect companion for this combo compilation
  • INCOMPATIBLE Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace - JK's Blue Palace - Patch MPxP implements this patch (in its own way) in the ADDITIONS++ Section
  • INCOMPATIBLE Lux Orbis - Solitude Skyway patch.esp
    • MPxP's Skyway lighting palette is built from Lux Orbis style natively. Close colors and in many areas, the same as Lux Orbis Skyway patch would promote
    • You do NOT want to mix Lux Orbis Skyway patch with MPxP. It's patching scheme is for Original Skyway. Not MPxP's take on it. Will cause many problems
  • INCOMPATIBLE Modular Blue Palace Terrace and Solitude Patches
    • Leontristain's page overhauls The Skyway (and other parts of Solitude) in such a way that makes it highly incompatible to mix with MPxP SEC1.0
    • Their might be the odd thing on the page that works but its a RED FLAG page to mix. If you embark upon issues, you should more then likely know why
  • INCOMPATIBLE Solitude Skyway SE - Open Cities Patch & possibly other OCS Patches from there IF they edit the Solitude Arch Windmill Tower Door Passages
FEATURES:
THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION NEEDS A MAKEOVER. ITS AS OLD AS THE PAGES RELEASE. TAKE IT IN AS A GRAIN OF SALT
  • New "King's Edge Cliff Ledge" (Two Total Now) that's great for fighting and screenshots or just chilling (kind of like a guard patrol snipper's rock beacon or the cliff from the flick "The Lion King" The Circle of Life Simba's birth. Fun to battle on the ledge and if one falls, its a death drop (Thankyou to the ideas and input of some creative minds)
  • New guards of different imperial ranking positions are added to the Skyway and its Platform with varying schedules
  • Two new archery targets and one new melee practice dummy in which guards train on at fixed schedules
  • Two new Skyway domesticated dogs named Skylor (male) and Skyla (female) that wonder the stretch and add some life to the area If the dogs barking becomes annoying because it does start to get to me as well, Install Quiet Dog [No Plugin/Scripts - Just Altered Animations] and don't forget to endorse. I felt the Skyway needed some furry friends but with them comes along there nuisance barking so, if you wish, their is a way to shut them up
  • One stray dog named Skyray (male) that hangs around the Solitude Eastern Guard Outpost exiting staircase
  • Enhanced Solitude Arch Windmill Tower Entrance/Exit with more detailed link labelling schemes
  • New Solitude Skyway Courtyard Door (both sides) with more detailed link labelling schemes (Thanks to leontristain for the door ideas)
  • New Travel marker to the Central Skyway Area (where the middle platform is)
  • Flameage to all Braziers but reduced the lighting to particular ones that touch troublesome meshes causing flickering
  • Solitude Skyway entrance from the Solitude Exterior hand mended right in their with style for TGCoS Compatibility
  • Skyway's "Jump-to-Water Safety Emergency Exit Isle" (facing South) right at the central Skyway Lounge area from the skyway into the solitude waters. I always liked jumping into the waters from high up on the Skyway so I added something for that)
  • No more Storm Cloak Fighting on the Skyway Stretch (I thought it was out of place and all the random cluttered dead bodies that accumulate) Raids or general wanderers might alarm the guards from the wilderness but no more Fighting Spawns in the middle of the Skyway
  • Fully Navmeshed TGCoS, Skyway and Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace mod
  • New stairway access points for water way entry. Two at Estuary Fortress. Two at the TGCoS Arch Docks area. TGCoS as a whole is much more swimming friendly getting around using the Waterway. Fully Revisioned Waterway Navmeshing.
  • These stairways will be very complimentary to the Extension Mod in [2.0] Personal Creations [2.0]
  • Additional content unlisted

SOLITUDE EASTERN GUARD OUTPOST DESIGN OVERHAUL:
Thankyou to cheesetoast8 for giving me permission to use many of their assets
  • A shadow castor catapult
  • King's Edge Cliff  Ledge" (one of the total two)
  • Banners
  • Plants & Trees
  • Armor & Weapons Hut
  • Cooking Pot
  • Tanning Rack and Workbench
  • Anvil and Smelter
  • Oil Drums and much more
  • Additional content unlisted

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
  • Re-navmeshed all new additions and thoroughly tested with followers as to verify finalization was implemented correctly
  • Re-worked the new King's Edge Cliff Ledge mesh collisions. Might not be perfect but its a hell of a lot better for the working face of the rock
  • All brazier's have flameage with newly added lighting properties.
  • No flickering on any given meshes are caused directly from the Braziers except two spots extremely faint. Any other flickering that may occur is from combination of Brazier and guard torch lighting properties colliding on the same rock meshes. Flickering will occur on any given mesh when the engines maximum limit of lighting sources on any mesh within a cell are exceeded. Their isn't much I can do regarding this unless I disable Brazier flamage altogether on a large amount of them which I prefer not to do. All the braziers existed where they where from the original Skyway Mod as intended, I didn't want to alter that but I felt they deserved flame and with flame comes light, so, I did my best to use a lightweight light source keeping its focus much less directed on the troublesome rock meshes.
  • New dropdown NAVM at the "Jump-to-Water Safety Emergency Exit Isle" near the Central Sector of the Skyway. A dropdown NAVM is a particular link between two lines that allows followers to jump after you

AVOID ENTIRELY USING:
  • Solitude Skyway SE - Open Cities Patch.esp from the "Solitude Skyway" site with Main Module Overhaul even if LOOT tells you otherwise. It is not required and will in fact cause problems. It has it's own teleport & labelling schemes for doors verses these at "Solitude Docks Exterior" To "Solitude Arch Windmill Tower". This means their will be more then one entry prompt per door and teleport mechanic per door location.
  • Q. Why Even Change Door Mechanics at That Location?
  • A. Their is a bug with that auto-load-door by radius teleport mechanic at the Solitude Arch Tower Stairwell to the Solitude Docks Exterior "ONLY" while playing in an Open Cities Skyrim setup. I don't know why the mechanic does what it does during OCS gameplay, but once you and a follower teleport through the auto-load-door; the follower becomes invisible once teleported. To counter this bug; I added a door-to-door teleport (which works fine) instead of the auto-load-door by radius teleport mechanic and since I had already done that; I made more descriptive prompt labelling to go with it. Solitude Skyway SE - Open Cities Patch.esp alters the door stuff in its own fashion added up on top of this will result in more then one of everything. AVOID IT

IMPERATIVE INFORMATION PERTAINING TO ALL:

MAKE 100% SURE TO FOLLOW THE STEPWORK PROVIDED TOP OF PAGE
  • MODULAR PATCHXPRESS GEN
  • CHECK YOURSELF RESOURCE INFORMATION - FOR DYNDOLOD USERS

WHAT THESE MODULES DO:
  • My mentality is; why reinvent the wheel around one massive model. Not interchangeable or rearrangeable; eradicate it
  • These are not technical Modules at all but ensure ease of adjustability for future updates, and mod conflict manageability. Ultimately, they change compatibility dynamics massively. Simple but very time consuming and tedious to construct as to make it; look as proper as possible without clipping through the city or other areas and that the LotD mechanics for some regions of the Rock Models remain intact for proper LotD mod functionality EX Dragon landing/mounting spots/a Load-To Portal on a rock, the haunted note, etc...
  • Disabled LotD's two Primary Solitude Rock Models and perhaps six or so rocks/boulders and completely reconstructed the entire rock foundation supporting LotD. Comprised before of about 6/7 models is replaced by a total of 24+ large rock models that are interchangeable anytime.
  • Being the Rock now is split into many entities; it is much more manageable for adjustment
  • I cannot achieve the same volume the original LotD foundation offered. Structurally; from an architectural outlook, It isn't a flimsy formation hoisting up the Museum. It is very thick but could be beefier If I had more space without compromising other exterior mods. Logically speaking, its solid enough to do its job and support everything but if Skyrim had a massive earthquake, Bye-bye Museum. Not as beefy a look as I would prefer. Could be better but that's the sacrifice made for much more exterior mod compatibility potential
  • These plugins are NOT dependent on The Great City of Solitude or any other exterior city altering mods. Solitude Skyway is obviously a master but use it along whatever you like. I haven't tested a whole pile of setups but just by the nature of this kind of patch; it has potential to work alongside many possibilities. If deciding to mix and match these with what's out their on Nexus exempting use of the Main Combo Overhauls; its completely experimental

Use-Case Notes:
As For A Main Combo Overhaul; You Can Either:
  • (A) Pick a TGCoS Variant which has "NO" involvement with Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace
  • (B) Use none of the Main Combo Overhauls having freedom of choice to use an Exterior overhaul of your choice like "Solitude Expansion" or something else. I cant see why it wouldn't work with the correct load order recipe but just make sure its High in Priority so the NAVM for the Dragonborn Museum keys into game registration.

If it were not for Leontristain interior patching Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace and JK's Blue Palace, I would not have made these. Patching mashups within interiors is not really my cup of tea. With that being said, if you choose to use a JK's Blue Palace variant from here that integrates Drengin's works, head on over to Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace - JK's Blue Palace - Patch and download just so you can toss Leontristain an endorsement to show your appreciation. ONLY USE ONE TOTAL

IMPERATIVE INFORMATION PERTAINING TO ALL:
The Ruins Has NO Affiliation Anymore With These Sovngarde Statues in This Package However;
  • If user just so happens to really enjoy The Ruins; a patch is provided disabling both the Sovngarde Statues that The Ruins Mod adds to Solitude Exterior

WHAT'S THESE MODULES DO:
  • Adds two massive Sovngarde Statues to the exterior of Solitude. The idea was originally from The Ruins which has always been an all-time favorite adding lots of lore-friendly ancient and interesting structures; rubble and statues around Skyrim.

COMPATIBILITY NOTES:
SETS IV, V & VI ARE FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH:
  • MPXP [1.0] MAIN COMBO OVERHAULS ---> [1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4]
  • MPXP [2.0] PERSONAL CREATIONS ---> Solitude Skyway SE Estuary Fortress Extension
  • MPXP [3.0] OTHER MODULES ---> Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace [PATCH - LotD] (Optional Patches)

RECOMMENDATIONS:
LOD UNLOCKER:
  • Solitude Exterior LOD Unlocker Advocate I or II (depending if using Skyway or not)
  • Is highly urged to use in pure general but not a requirement for these statues.
  • LOD and DynDOLOD rules for the statues are apart of this package. Generate LODs With DynDOLOD and these statues will never fade from view.
ASSETS:
Being Scaled Up In Size So Much, Having Enhanced Assets Is Essential. I Suggest:

Solitude Skyway SE Estuary Fortress Extension
Spoiler:
Show

WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES:
  • An extension I have been developing that promotes Solitude Skyway access to The Great City of Solitude's Estuary Fortress on the opposite side of the waterway from the main Solitude Docks
  • The original Estuary Fortress Docks are joined now to an extension which leads to a shipping/receiving port. Maintenance is conducted amongst other of stuff in my later updates, NPC's and Patrols will be added to the Solitude Port Sector plus clutter, amenities, fishing utilities. Its a major spot for lots of activity
  • Nice twisty and compact approach ascending towards the Skyway where there will be a point in which you can keep going up or take another stairway down to the ground on the opposite side of the mountain cliff
  • If choosing to continue your detour up; you will reach a full circle platform under the Skyway stretch which has Braziers; a great view and two large Shrubs
  • Continuing up the last flight of straight stairs and their you are on the Skyway close to the Skyway Central Sector
  • I hope you enjoy and I would love to hear the peoples feedback. Always bear in mind, I am working on this as its an outstanding project

WHAT IS EXPECTED IN THE UPDATES ARE:
  • Clutter at the Dock Port
  • Re-evaluate all the packaged BSA assets
  • Everything else is finished

COMPATIBILITY NOTES:
  • Their isn't any incompatibilities that I am aware of thus far. I picked an area pretty much left out of the picture from other Solitude Exterior alteration mods

WHAT THESE PATCHES DO:
Simple changes for my game Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace mod. I asked Drengin if it was ok; so, I put it up on here.
  • Stairway to the heel of the terrace I added flame and Light to one existing brazier plus an additional brazier/flame/light to the pedestal parallel from it
  • Added  copy of "WSLowerWall01.nif" to Tamriel world space in Solitude as to not see a hole missing in the solitude grounds where the side entrance is to the terrace from the Blue Palace Courtyard. While in TamrielWorld; looking down on in to Solitude from the roof tops. it would be noticed.

EXCLUSIVELY FOR:
  • Leontristain's Solitude Overhaul Providing Open Cities Skyrim integration. Unless you have two Solitude's in your Skyrim located in the same place; I would stick with one overhaul. This pages Solitude Overhaul OR you can use Leontristain's which is also terrific.
  • This module created is named in such a way that follows the same style of Leontristain's Patch Page.
NOT DESIGNED FOR:
  • MPXP [1.0] MAIN COMBO OVERHAULS ---> [1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4]

Load Order and Requirements in Sequence:

Special Notes and/or Miscellaneous Particulars:
  • This Patch has not been tested on the remainder of Leontristain's Overhaul together as a whole. This Patch may/may not work with the rest of the overhaul. I personally have never used "Palaces and Castles Enhanced" plus "Solitude Enhanced Docks". This patch works 100% for what it details it patches from The load order.

Personal Statement:
This is as far as I am gonna go with the idea of integrating Open Cities Skyrim into leontristain's overhaul. Beyond this point where Enhanced Solitude (OCS), Solitude Districts (OCS) and Palaces and Castles Enhanced (OCS) come into the picture while using Open Cities Patches out their on Nexus that exist for these mods; its just too much of a mess. I am not sure if these patches that exist need more correction work or what as I found huge amounts of duplicated objects which cause flashing and mesh flickering all over Solitude. I would have to devote all my time to this leaving no space for anything else which I just cannot afford. Furthermore, their will be like +18 mods including who knows how many patches all masters of one mega OCS Patch. Nah Ah. This is as far as the initial idea is going. I hope this patch comes in handy for some folk.

Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace [PATCH - Solitude Expansion]
Spoiler:
Show

FOR: Drengin's Blue Palace Terrace (v1.1) & Solitude Expansion (v2.66)

WHAT'S THIS PATCH DO:
I would have never guessed these two mods would have any relationship issues. They actually have no associations except:
  • They both carry forward a vital record for the Terrace mod to work
  • The Terrace record keeps the orientation of an essential Rock that nests the Terrace structure intact and the one from Expansion throws it out if overwriting the Terrace mod. LOOT orders at default "The Expansion" to WIN over the "Terrace Mod" in load Priority meaning the record from the Terrace mod will not register into the game. This record is for the entire SolitudeArchRock position and the Expansion points it to a different STAT. So here is the patch that makes sure the correct record is Winning into game registration

SPECIAL NOTES:
  • This patch is only neccessary to use if for some reason, you NEED SE to load after DBPT
  • Otherwise, you do not need this

    • These Video's cater to Modular PatchXPress and are created and given to me by folk whom don't mind their recordings and/or captures on my page for presentation purposes. Nothing you see could ever have been achieved without the creation of the mods my page is geared towards. Great Authors. Great Work.
    • The Solitude you see; you can achieve, but if you ask me about this texture or that outfit; just this or that from certain video's that derive from another individuals mod stack that has nothing to do with what this page promotes, I most likely will not know.
