I think I am missing something obvious here, but what exactly does this do? I mean, to me, it looks like a replacement for the standard launcher that comes with the game.
So how come so many different mods have this listed as a requirement? Racemenu presets, followers, bodyslide presets... the one that confuses me is the alternate language mods. How come the french translation of ASLAL needs this, but ASLAL itself doesn't?
This appears to simply be a launcher for SkSE64, like the launcher for Skyrim itself with options for changing the overall graphics setting. Any mod that lists it as a requirement probably meant to list SkSE itself, but SkSE isn't actually hosted here on the Nexus so this probably came up as the closest thing, and I can't see how any mod would require this launcher in order to work.
LeanWolf is 100% correct, that's what I was going to answer hahaha, people are listing it by mistake, because this launcher is only for what he said, it's basically a launcher with a graphical interface to replace the ugly command prompt of skse and so you can change the graphical settings without having to keep opening the skyrim launcher all the time, or copying .ini files manually. I've been working on a launcher with mods and plugins management, and with a more complete and detailed change of the graphics settings but as I work alone, it's taking too long to get ready and without bugs, so I preferred not to post yet.
No, SlipperyFox595, that is not what he is saying. He is saying the SKSE Launcher menu is not a hard requirement for mods that have mistakenly listed his launcher as one. They undoubtedly meant the SKSE, and not the SKSE launcher menu Siirius Beck's been working on.
You remember that menu that opens first when you try to boot up regular ol' Anniversary Edition; where you can change settings like aspect ratio, windowed or fullscreen, texture and graphics qualities? All before you even get into the game itself? That is commonly known as the launcher, or launcher menu. A mid-patch step between not playing and playing, in so far as adjusting settings and what not can be referred to as patching.
SKSE as it is doesn't currently have a dedicated launcher attached to their executable, the SKSE64.exe, so you'd have to smash open the regular Skyrim.exe to open the launcher and adjust settings accordingly again when some mod's gone and made cereals of the entire thing; wacked aspect ratio, fullscreen, randomized graphics the whole nine yards; this guy's mod brings that function to the SKSE side so with this ya won't need to do the extra step of booting up the regular Skyrim launcher, adjust settings, close launcher, hop into MO2 or Vortex or the folder you use and executing the SKSE.exe.
when I try to use the launcher it wants me to select a folder but I don't know which folder I'm supposed to use I'm trying to install this for Skyrim VR and so far all the folders I tried to select say "incorrect Skyrim path"
hi, could you make the launcher more automated, that is, when I click on steam play, the game opens with SKSE64 but the cmd doesn't have to open every time I click on it
when i try to launch skyrim SE on vortex with some mods installed I get this error "executable doesn't exist, Executable: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim\skse64_loader.exe" any help plz

Oi!
Bom dia!

Hey!
Good Morning!
Would it be possible to make this launcher run on Linux Mint 20.3?
I use the SteamPlay option to enable Vulkan on Steam.
But I can't activate SKSE64 through Steam as Skyrim SE is for Win.
Thanks for your attention
