For those using the mod "Better Vanilla Perks" you will need to make this quick easy adjustment to it in xEdit in order to make the stats of the items function properly when tempering them at a grindstone or workbench. It is easy and shouldn't take longer than 2 minutes to do (give or take, depending on how quickly it takes for you to load into xEdit)
Step 1: Load up SSEEdit
Step 2: Deselect all, find "Better Vanilla Perks.esp" and click it. Hit okay
Step 3: wait for xEdit to finish Background Loader
Step 4: go to the perks section in Better Vanilla Perks
Step 5: find the Arcane Blacksmith Perk and click on it.
Step 6: Adjust the windows so you can see the changes clearly. find the Perk conditions towards the bottom.
Step 7: Remove the "Subject.Haskeyword(DaedricArtifact)" and "Subject.HasKeyword(WeapMaterialSilver)" conditions by right clicking on them and selecting remove (you will get a big scary error. this is normal. click okay and proceed)
Step 8: Exit and Save.
Congratulations, you have successfully made the changes.
hello, is it possible to give skeleton key prowler profit effect? y'know lore wise skeleton key give u luck and this give u shortcut to obtain prowler profit rather than finish the stone unturned quest.
Not without scripting. I would need to either add a script to the object itself, modify a quest script, or make a new object that you all would need to interact with in order to receive the bonus. The first option would result in a lot of incompatibilities and alter the item itself, the second option would be extremely difficult and conflicting as it could possibly break the game if the wrong types of mods are installed, and the third option isn't immersive at all. I want to avoid scripting in this mod as scripting is annoying to me and rather complicated to get everything to work correctly. Plus less scripts shoved into your game is always beneficial, especially if you are like me and run over 470 mods in a single load order.
I really like this mod since a lot of the Daedric artifacts in Vanilla felt pretty useless. However I do feel like you've possibly made The Rueful Axe a bit too strong. Since you can kill something in half as many swings with The Rueful Axe compared to a Dragonbone Battleaxe.
An enchanted Dragonbone Battleaxe greatly outclasses the Rueful axe. The only time the Rueful Axe is the best option is against werewolves specifically. The reasoning behind it is that Umbra was the strongest weapon without enchantments in Oblivion, so I followed suite with that mentality of offering a great weapon that would be beneficial to any werewolf hunters. The bleed effect seems very strong at low levels but turning up the difficulty the weapon actually is outclassed by any custom enchanted two handed weapon that you could make. However, I will do more testing and see if I could give it a more balanced damage output
