"If anyone is interested, I fixed it by downloading the mod manually, unpacking it, deleting the "info.xml" file from the "fomod" folder and replacing it with an empty folder named "info.xml". I then manually added the mod to NMM and activated it there, whereupon it casually ran the FOMOD setup... Whatever works, I guess. Love your mod!!"
I had to re-zip it after making the empty folder to install it with a mod manager, but otherwise works exactly as advertised.
Unpack the mod. Then go to fomod and change the content of info.xml to: <fomod> <Name>H.U.E - Handmade Unique Eyes SE</Name> <Author>koalynha</Author> <Description>This mod replaces all Vanilla eyes of all races and genders including vampires with custom options. The textures are all handmade and focused in a lore friendly experience, but of course, there's the standalone custom part too. All files are 512px and almost everything is customizable.</Description> <Id>35664</Id> <Version>1.0.0</Version> <Website>http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/35664/?</Website> </fomod>
Then ZIP the "H.U.E - Handmade Unique Eyes SE" folder and import it manually to NMM. It should work.
I'm having trouble manually installing the Vampire eyes. (Not the glow fix, the texture) I want to replace the texture of the vampire eyes, and I already have the standalone that adds more colors. Where do I drop the files? Do I drop the entire vampire folder straight into data? Because that folder has textures folders inside of it and I already have textures folders holding other things.
eh, it doesn't matter. Either way I can't open racemenu without resetting my level and the face sculptor only works on the living, so some of the eyes wouldn't be available
So I am trying to use this mod, and before I start yes I'm using vortex, it cannot register the mod, it'll place it in the nmm folder, but wont let me activate it, the vampire glow eyes fix thing one works just fine, but the main file wont work, ive tried manually placing it in the folder, and I've tried making it a .zip folder instead of .rar, but both failed. any thoughts on why? note it says failed to register mod.
I really don't know how to fix it, already tested Vortex installation and it's working fine for me. You can ask for help in the forum or contact Vortex devs. Sorry for not being able to help :c
all good thanks for the decently fast reply it says something about the fomod not verifying if that helps you ill attempt to ask around to see if i cant figure it out
so apparently although the new version is called vortex the community one is called nmm, and it looks like its that things issue. even with the non se version of yours, so me stating im using vortex was wrong and for that im sorry, im a dumbass sometimes it also was late. but when i look up the issue it appears youve already looked into this issue as much as you could thanks ill just see if i cant do the standalone versions and see if i cant get those to work instead of the whole version.
Shh! Don't need to be sorry for that, it's ok, happens everytime! UwU When/if I get answers from the devs I'll post it on this topic, you can follow it if you want to be notified about updates:
