About this mod

A Custom Favorites Menu config best suited for mages (but not only), based on Categorized Favorite Menu for Mages - Apocalypse by nogitsuneyokai and with about 275 new compatible spells/powers/shouts/items from the Dawnguard and Dragonborn dlcs, creation club contents, Apocalypse, Arcanum, Ordinator and Summermyst mods.
Enjoy! ;-)

What is this?
This is my config file for the mod Custom Favorites Menu by darthvladi which modifies the categories for an organisation better suited for mages, and which correctly display in the right place the spells/items/shouts/powers of the Dawnguard and Dragonborn dlcs, creation club contents as well as Apocalypse, ArcanumOrdinator and Summermyst mods.
It is completely based on the original config of
Categorized Favorite Menu for Mages - Apocalypse by nogitsuneyokai.
Note: Updated Categorized Favorites Menu by Shadic4101 is also compatible.

Why Custom Favorites Menu?
Because this is probably the best custom favorites mod that doesn't require anything to work, it is great for people who do not want to use SKSE (and still a very solid option for people who use SKSE). It is highly customizable but it takes a lot of time to make it work with non-vanilla stuff, and this is precisely why I'm here!

Why creating this config when we already have Categorized Favorite Menu for Mages - Apocalypse?
I installed the config of nogitsuneyokai and found it awesome. However, everything from the dlcs was sorted in "Other", as well as all spells/powers from mods/creation club that weren't apocalypse.

I immediately checked the documentation to learn how to edit it, and added the spells from arcanes accessories and the dlcs. Then I decided to keep going and add everything I was using. I consider this to be my little contribution to the mod community who made this awesome game so much better.

All credits for the original mod go to darthvladi, and all credits for the disposition/naming of categories and apocalypse spells go to nogitsuneyokai who did a great work that I just edited for a better experience (I will remove my config from Nexus if they want to).

The category "Powers/Shouts" was a big mess so I reorganised it into many subcategories (Shouts, Werewolf, Vampire Lord, Black Books, Standing Stones, All-maker Stones, Factions, Racial and Other).

There are probably some better alternatives out there, but I wanted to make an easily accessible config here on Nexus. I hope it helps!

Is it possible to add new spells/items or modify the appearance/disposition/colours?
Of course, this is the main goal of Custom Favourite Menu. You can refer to its documentation to learn how to edit the config properly, it is fairly easy. You can download the additional config guide in the files tab, below the main file.

I have probably missed some stuff, or you might want to make the config compatible with another mod; the discussion tab is open and you can post the modifications you have done to your file in the comments.

I don't play in 1080p, how to scale the menu?
You can refer to the Custom Favorites Menu documentation for this kind of stuff.

Recommended mods
I would recommend a lot of mods that made my Skyrim experience better, here are 3 of the ones I use that are also related to user interface:
Serio's Spells and Shouts Hotkeys - A very clever and useful way to swap spells/weapons and create cycles that also does not require SKSE.
Better MessageBox Controls - I underestimated the convenience of this mod, even more useful if you use the previous one. ^
Better Dialogue Controls - If you use mouse + keyboard, it fixes the most annoying, always happening and game breaking bug of the game imo.
