Version 2.0 is now out! I have a couple of comments about it.
My two main goals for this were to upscale to the highest quality I possibly could, and also breath a little bit more life into the vanilla textures.
To that end, I decided to ditch the post-processing sharpening I was applying to all the textures. I found that instead of increasing the detail, the sharpening was just highlighting everything wrong with the textures (they are ten year old textures after all).
As for breathing new life into the textures, I decided to accomplish that via contrast and brightness. In my opinion most of the textures in Skyrim are too bright and washed out. Every texture has been darkened to some extent, with some, namely the Dark Brotherhood and Nightingale armors, being darkened considerably. This is my design choice and I will not be changing it. I will also not be uploading a version that isn't altered in this way, so please don't ask.
That's all I have to say about it really, I hope you guys like the 2.0 version! (proceeds to no life the weapon textures now)
After much thought, I have decided I will be dropping support of project clarity. Moving forward I will not be updating, or fixing any problems that arise. Project clarity is now offered AS-IS. I am focusing on other projects, specifically Resurgence, that I would like to get done. Trying to keep up with project clarity has become too much.
I've found the root cause. When upscaling, the program gives the textures a blank alpha for some reason that's sometimes not pure white. It's normally not a problem, until complex parallax came along. The off white alpha channel on the mask is what's causing the issue. I have to think on the best course of action to fix.
I also encountered the same situation, I hope to wait until the author to find a solution, or the author simply remove this part of the problem clothes. But thank you for your work, it's really great and makes all the clothes more ornamental.
Hello dear friend, first of all, I must say that your work with this mod is fantastic. I apologize if the way I speak isn't so perfect, I'm correcting some mistakes with the translator. But I must inform you that something happened and I think I am not able to activate it. I don't know if it's really my fault as I have little experience with mods. i'm using m2 to install it on my skyrim. And even having installed and giving priority I think it's not working well. Can you tell me if there are any conflicts with the mods I have? It would be of great help, dear friend.

Having said that I use Mod Organizer 2 ° I saw your MOD and I like the idea of not getting out of Skyrim's Vanilla too much so without thinking too much I installed the mod activated or had LOOT fix the various things (I had installed other MODs in the meantime) and finally once arrived in game what do i discover? that the mod is not active it does not work does not change anything. And I don't understand why this thing happens, at this point I guess I have to change some weird MO2 setting but I don't have the faintest idea where to put my hands so how do I solve this situation?
This doesn't utilize an ESP, LOOT doesn't affect it. If you have it installed correctly, and check marked in the left pane, it's working. It literally can't not work unless something went wrong in the install process, it's being entirely overwritten, or it's not activated.
I confirm that the mod continues to not work.I downloaded it twice from both MO2 and manually and it still doesn't work.At this point it occurs to me that the mod itself is not compatible with my Skyrim which is strange since I own the Special Edition
It's perfectly compatible with SSE. How do you know it's not working? Have you tried taking a screenshot of some armor without the mod active, and comparing it to a screenshot with the mod active?
Get same problem here. idk what is going on, but is not activating at all. i install with mod 2. Is it possible that it is being overwritten? I have some mods like lux via, noble 2k, high poly project... but I don't think that's the case. anyway i really like u work and and i hope i can get it back.
I only need this in a hope that I can fix my missing textures all over my outfits such as skirt textures in my barkeeperfemaleoutfit.dds. I don't even know what causes this
I'm sure this question has come up before so apologies for any repetition; is Cleaned Skyrim Textures unnecessary for users to download as you've used it as a base?
Heyy loving this mod I was wondering though I found a bonemold armor texture I liked better how do I get the bonemold texture i want to overwrites yours? Im using mod organizer 2
