    Hello Drengin,
    thank you for that mod I think it makes the palace looks more fitting at the cliff end.
    Right now I'm searching for a way to play it with OCS and LOTD. I tried your OCS patch and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37276?tab=files&file_id=146672&nmm=1 LOTD patch by leontristain. But sadly the both are utterly incompatible. I wanted to ask if you are interested in creating a patch that integrates the LOTD patch changes in your OCS patch.
    I don't know enough about making patches so I can only ask. And if it turns out to be to much work the effort I think I will have to cut one of those 3 sadly

    But I will await your Dev Aveza patch. also thank you for that when it's released!

      Was very eager to get to know this as well, as I'm rebuilding my modlist currently, so I searched in the forum thread over at PCE. The author of PCE themself answered quite recently:

      "A good 1/3 portion if not nearly as much as a half of this mod is about Blue Palace, it's heavily embedded in the esp so removing it would not be a good idea. Since I can't provide you with a compatibility patch either, here's a good tip to everyone asking for a patch for equally-palatable mods that alter the same areas (JK's vs Dawn, ETaC vs Holds and so on):
      It's a good idea to choose one for your playthrough so you'll have a reason to do another playthrough in the future with the other mod installed. At least for me there is more fun in building different mod set ups for different playthroughs rather than building one "ultimate" configuration that has everything you want. I think tha's the whole reason for Mod Organizer's profiling feature to exist. "

      I have no reason not to believe them, so unfortunately the gorgous terrace won't make it into my game...this time.

      ETaC and Holds are very nice examples of a friendly and respectful attitude of the modmakers to their fans.
      These mods are modular.
      The user can choose and combine the parts he likes as he pleases. To his own taste.
      The authors provide the user with the rich customization abilities and do not force anything upon him.

      Perhaps this approach is most consistent with the wonderful modding philosophy:

      Build Your Own World As You See It Yourself.

      On the other hand, there are several completely unrelated works that the author combines into one set.
      Do you want to take one thing? No you can’t. Big brother knows better than you what you need. Take it all at once and shut up.
      Of course, the author’s undeniable right to do as he sees fit. However, in this case, it doesn't remind you of some ugly ploy?

      The choice is always yours.

      Sorry for the late reply, didn't see your post.

      Working fine for me so far. Thalmor soldiers are showing up and dock looks good. No problems piloting the ship or docking.

      Work on the mod is nearing completion. So there's no point in releasing this patch now. I'll test it with the final version and post it at the same time.

    This is by far the most beautiful palace overhaul i have seen, and it works great as well. I have run into only one problem with this, which is minor but pretty hard to ignore, elisif and her throne are off-center in her court, and merged with one of the candle holders. I am using an elisif replacer however, so perhaps it is that?

    Any way to move this to the solitude worldspace to fix the LOD issue?

      Try to run SSELODGen or DynDOLOD. Any problems with LOD can usually be fixed in this way. If this doesn't help, describe in detail what exactly is your problem?

      I don't really mean creating LOD. I mean so that you can't walk onto the existing solitude LOD on the top of the castle walls. I'd just rather this be seamless with the rest of the solitude city if it were possible but that may be too difficult to convert. Maybe just add a walled barrier to block off viewing the rest of solitude's ugly LOD up close.

      Now I seem to understand. You jumped from the sanctuary to the top of the wall, which looks at the docks, and went towards the city, right?
      Indeed, in this way, someone can look into the LOD of the city and even jump there and die. I’ll close the access there in the update.

    Also, just thought i'd throw out another idea, perhaps a Palace of the Kings overhaul? There's a lot of unused space there, you could spruce up the outer courtyard to make it look like the heart of a military operation, packed with stored arms and armor and military supplies, add another courtyard that's being used as a training area, a little like Castle Dour, add a real jail instead of Bethesda's lame "It's 2 days before launch and we got rid of the Windhelm arena, you have 6 hours to throw together a jail" So many options, and after seeing this I feel like you're just the guy to tackle that idea.

    Because the Blue Palace is the seat of power in Skyrim and now looks the part, but the Palace of the Kings used to be, and deserves the same treatment in a more Nordic way.

    Just a suggestion...

      If I'm not mistaken, there are one or even more old mods that restore this arena. It was like I tried some of them a long time ago. I didn't like it. I don't remember why.

      I wasn't saying restore the arena, because I agree the mods that restore it aren't amazing. I was just saying them cutting it is why the Windhelm jail feels so thrown together at the last second.

    Super nice must-have mod for someone spending lots of time in Solitude or fighting for the Empire. Only thing is it might be a good idea to add the names of the mods you made compatibility patches for under your compatibility section in the mod description. Over all super nice work though!

    I had been waiting to use this mod for a couple patches, finally was able to run it and boy it looks amazing.

    Only issue I noticed is a slight conflict between this and Great City of Solitude. Soldierofwar has continuously altered the solitude arch, and with the most up to date version some of the rocks clip through the stairs that lead to the Dibella statue in the back plaza of the castle. Makes it a bit difficult to get up there. Pretty minor honestly, and won't prevent me from using your mod, but still thought i'd let you know.

    Finally the Blue Palace looks like the seat of the High King, and not just another random castle.

      Try to disable conflicting stones through the console.
      Soldierofwar’s arch-rock is infinitely far from the original. And from my view too. If I'm going to make the patch myself, I’ll return its appearance to vanilla-like. I suspect this is not at all what you want.
