Remove any earrings from your character and followers before updating to 1.4!
All the enchanted loot earrings are changing, so they will be removed from your character and inventory.

Version 1.4 fixes the issue with Khajiits. I've included earrings in the character creation instead of equipment models. The earrings in the character creation include gold, silver, and ancient silver. These earrings disappear with helmets, and move with your Khajiit's ears. You can still equip the jewelry in game, but it won't show on your Khajiit anymore. Use the facechanger in Riften, Racemenu, or Showracemenu Alternative to change your Khajiit hairstyles.

The mod now includes all colors of earrings as enchanted loot. You can either find them as loot, or purchase them from a new vendor in the Windhelm Marketplace during the day. Thanks a million times to Gorgoth24 for their enchanted items script that cut the amount of work I had to do for the gold and ancient silver earrings down to some copy and pasting names and list cleanup.

Can they be enchanted? if so, are there limitations to what enchantments they can receive?

Yes, they can be enchanted as any jewelry.

Thank you for the mod. I always installed immersive armours just for the earings for my mage. Now that am building a new list without immersive armours finding this was great.

Was trying to see if this mod could be eslified but this mod adds a new cell for the merchant's container which could cause problems when compacting the form IDs for an esl. Could you possibly move the container to a place, maybe under the ground in Windhelm so that it is not reachable in a normal gameplay? I think this is how merchant containers are handled in the vanilla game. This would remove the new cell and then I believe this could be eslified to save a plugin spot in the load order.

The player can't enter that cell. You should be able to compact and esl this mod even with the cell added as it's just a container cell, not a playable one.

After reading up on this a bit, you are right. As long as nothing touches that cell after eslifying it, it should be fine. Thank you for the reply!

Hello, Ive tried to edit the Creolas to use slot 44 like the clamps in the Creation Kit, but no matter what i try they are always invisible in game.  I've edited both "Armor" and "Armor Addon".  Ive had this problem in the past trying to edit things like hoods and scarves.  Is the slot an item uses in the Creation Kit directly tied to the mesh itself?  I simply can't figure out the problem and its quite frustrating lol

Open the nif in Outfit Studio and change the partition to the slot you want on the Nif itself. The nif partition has to match the CK partition being used.

Edit: You'll need Archive Extractor to unpack the bsa files.

Wow i didn't realize that was even a thing.  I could have sworn the CK allowed you to add it to any slot regardless of the nif in the past, but i guess i was wrong lol.

Thanks for the quick response, ill give it a shot.

@PoptartJuniper, a new German translation for your version 1.4 is ready. Do you still have the link to my OneDrive? If not, it is up there.
Will remove, when you got it.

I am a big fan of these earrings and have been using them for like ten years. I just installed SE finally and its great to see the exact same little mod here after all this time.

I am ready to update from v.1.3 to 1.4. We are supposed to "Remove any earrings from your character and followers before updating". Is it enough to stop wearing them (un-equip them), or do I need to actually place all of them on the ground or in a container?

Thanks for the mod and the update!

Any unenchanted or earrings you have crafted and enchanted yourself should be fine, but unequip them anyway. Enchanted as loot earrings definitely need to be unequipped, as they are changing and the magic bonus they gave will get stuck on your character. I don't believe they will get stuck as weight in your inventory, they should just be removed, so dropping them on the ground or placing in them in a container is up to you.

Thanks for the quick response! I am sorry, but I am still a little unclear about the word "removed". I should have asked it better like this:

For "Enchanted as loot earrings", can I only un-equip, but leave them in my inventory? Or do they need to completely leave my inventory, as well.

Sorry I'm so dense with text and need it spelled out. Your mod is really fun!

Enchanted as loot items will disappear (apologies) so unequip them, but tossing them on the ground or into a container shouldn't be necessary.

If you don't unequip these items, the effects will be stuck on your character even though the item has been removed from your game.

Crafted or enchanted yourself should be fine but unequip them just in case.

Thanks for the clear reply! "Unequipping only" but leaving them in inventory is good enough!

OK, unfortunately I unequipped the items, but left them in my inventory, made a save, then updated to 1.4, loaded the game, and they were all missing. I reinstalled 1.3, loaded the same save, and they were all back.

I did not re-run my bashed patch. I don't think that would be an issue on ones I already had.

Is there some install advice I am missing? Have others had any experience updating?

As I mentioned in my earlier response to you, "Enchanted as loot items will disappear (apologies) so unequip them."

You can purchase enchanted earrings again from the vendor in Windhelm Marketplace if you only had the looted enchanted items and not crafted ones.

Oh, I took that to mean: "Enchanted as loot items will disappear (apologies) so unequip them" to protect them.

So basically if you want to keep the "enchanted as loot" items that you already have then you can't do this update, and will have to wait for a new game. I can live with that. Its a cool mod. Thanks!
