Grab the ui addon here. I plan on releasing the next version of this in a week on a different mod page as the design changes were too much.

HEY!  Love the mod, im using the spid version, for some reason this mod seems to disable wildcats stagger system but only for the player character as stagger mechanics still work as intended for npcs. you still get the screen effect from the stagger but you can keep moving like normal....plz let me know if anyone knows a way around this as i love this mod but the game is way to easy being stagger proof.

Ive tried putting action speed above wildcat in the load order and below it makes no difference and disabling action speed fixes the problem, from the info on the mod page i wouldnt think this should interfere with wildcat tho....

Dont know if you are still supprting this mod, but for some reason the buffs at certain skill levels wont apply. I leveled heavy armor and two handed to 20 and none of the buffs happened.

if you mean you are not seeing them in the effects window when you look at spell-n-shout-inventory, that is normal.  Are you sure they are not affecting you or are you assuming so because you don't see the buff.

As far as I can read, you will only see the negatives and not the buffs.

for some reason, iam not seeing the heavy armor movement speed reduction in the active effect section, only the attack speed reduction. altho i do feel that the actual slowing effect are applied to my character, just not shown in menu. it dosent happen on light armor tho.

however, it does show up if i mix heavy armor with light armor, in this case both slow effect from light and heavy would stack, bringing the movement speed down to 60%.

I am wearing armor sets with alot of parts(like TAWOBA), a total of 10 or so, could that be the culprit? I see that in SSEedit, the heavy movespeed spell condition is set to "Equal to 4", whereas light movespeed spell is "Greater or Equal to 4". I will try to change that and see if it changes anything

edit: yep, changing it to greater or equal to 4 fix the issue, it now shows up the the active effect menu

I've created a Synthesis patch for ActionSpeed to work around the zEdit 255 plugin limit.

This has been a fantastic add to my game, at first I was a bit dismayed at bow draw speeds, but it actually is great.

I'm using Ordinator with it, and I just took the perks to reduce light armor speed penalty, and to increase light armor move speed by 10%, and I'm wondering if you can confirm that this boost is additive and wouldn't be reflected in the mod provided debuff? I assume that your bonus movement speed at certain levels also doesn't reflect in the debuff entry?

    Cheers :)

Right the boost is additive and wouldn't be reflected in the debuff entry. When I come back to skyrim, I'll be finishing up a widget mod that shows current movespeed and attack speed to remedy the lack of stacking info.

I really like this mod, but I think I'm encountering either a bug or conflict with some of my other mods. In case it's a bug, I want to bring it up here. I'm running Wildcat, Ultimate Combat, CGO, and AGO. Basically, sometimes, without any reason that I am able to determine, enemies will have their attack speed dramatically decreased beyond what is intended by Action Speed (i.e., they run up to me like normal, but, when they go to swing their weapon, they start moving in slow-mo, probably close to 25% the speed of what is intended). This also seems to occasionally affect me as the PC as well. I've yet to determine a cause. It doesn't seem to affect all enemies, and when it happens to my PC I have to revert to a previous save to get rid of it. I'll do digging into it myself and, if I determine a cause, I will report back here.

Hello, thanks for responding to my post. No, I'm afraid I am not using Attack Speed Framework. I haven't been able to pinpoint a cause of this bug, but think it may have something to do with the way the game handles removing/adding weapons from actors. I was able to reproduce the bug by beginning the quest Diplomatic Immunity (Thalmor Embassy Quest) with a 2H weapon equipped in my main hand when Delphine strips your equipment. Once I got my equipment back, the attack speed bug occurred with my 2H weapon equipped. That's all I've got for now. Since no one else seems to have reported this bug, I think one of my other mods is causing the issue, but I'm not sure which one yet.

Can you post your load order? I'm pretty positive another mod in your set is adding/subtracting attack speed in numbers > 1

Thanks for your reply and interest in helping me sort this out. Here's my load order. I'm sorry it's a bit long. If it's any help in sorting through it quickly, it's basically a slightly modified version of Lexy's LOTD. I set it up according to a version of Lexy's LOTD guide from about 3-4 months ago.

Thanks again for your help Iggyluer. I haven't been able to try with Action Speed Framework yet, but believe I've figured out what the conflict is - or at least what's causing the bug.

Combat Gameplay Overhaul has a setting in it which can boost/reduce your attack speed depending on how you're gripping your weapon. There's also an attack speed boost the mod can apply for when you're standing stationary. The default values are 30% (boost for 1h weapons in 2h mode, and reduction for 2h weapons in 1h mode) and 20% respectively, which I've kept for my playthrough.

If I mess with these values at all mid-playthrough through the MCM, the bug instantly occurs. At that point, even if I try to reset the values to their default, the bug persists, and again I'm forced to reload.

At this point I've been able to reliably reproduce this bug (without CGO MCM tinkering) by getting my equipment stored by Delphine while wearing heavy or light armor and riding the carriage to the Thalmor Embassy (removing all equipment beforehand prevents the bug) and beginning the stage of the "Night at the Museum" Quest from Legacy of the Dragonborn where you start your search of the museum with the priest (if you're familiar with that mod/quest). In the case of the "Night at the Museum" quest, it doesn't matter what equipment you're wearing/not wearing - the bug will always occur after starting the quest.

I will note that at this point I'm not even sure it's a bug or conflict related to Action Speed Framework and not CGO, although it may still be because of the way Action Speed and CGO try to alter actor's attack speeds. I'll try and search for clues about this bug on CGO's page now, but if you have any more thoughts I'd love to hear them.

I took a look at CGO's scripts. It's changes weapon speed through animation variables like so:
      NPCRef.SetAnimationVariableFloat("fWeaponSpeedChange", 0.01 * CombatGameplayOverhaulMCM.fSpeedChange)
      NPCRef.SetAnimationVariableFloat("fAttackSpeedBoost", 0.01 * CombatGameplayOverhaulMCM.fSpeedBoost)

I think its safe to assume thats the cause of the problem. Action speed adds/subtracts and restores the attack speed actor values while CGO is modifying && overriding the attack speed animation variables.

Thanks Iggyluer. Spent some time trying to figure out if I could safely uninstall CGO from my playthrough due to this conflict, but eventually decided I'd just be better off starting a new playthrough. So that's what I'm going to do. I really appreciate your help in tracking down and confirming this conflict. Hopefully these posts might help someone else having a similar problem in the future.

This works soooo well!!! Thanks so much for this, so much fun!!

I think the armor skills (that happens automatically) happens far too fast though. Maybe 50% slower, or even more, would be better. Hope you can add this in to next patch. Thanks so much for this mod

EDIT: Maybe you could also add some debuffs to magicka casting? If that's possible.... like slower charging, or longer delay between spells or something.

Yes next update I'll make the armor experience configurable in the patcher settings as well as add a toggle for humanoid creature support. As for magicka casting, there should be debuffs/buffs for each school that increases/decreases casting cost. You can try equipping heavy armor and viewing the active effects menu, or look at the spell costs.

Next update won't be for a while though because I'm working on another mod and am taking a break from gaming because the last of us 2 destroyed me emotionally(in a good way)

Hi, brilliant mod. Works like a charm. Though too much experience is gained by wearing armor. Is there a way to reduce it?

Edit: Found a way to prevent the patcher from giving the player the passive armor experience gain perk by commenting the if statement.
I think this perk is not balanced in conjunction with perk overhauls like vokrii, which give you experience for being in combat. Options in zedit to tweak/disable this feature would be awesome.

I presume it's highly unlikely, but I figured I might aswell give it a shot. I use Engarde, which comes with it's own attack speed fix, and is therefore incompatible with attack speed framework. Is a patch possible, perhaps? Might be far too complicated, and I understand. This mod does seem like a really awesome hidden gem, just what the game needs for more diversity.

Nvm, I was able to disable the Attack Speed Fix in Engarde and use Attack Speed Framework instead and it works as intended. Great work! :)

    Hello,

Thank you for this mod with the well-thought concept mod.

Have you also considered to add options to mitigate the debuff of increasing spell costs while wearing the armor parts partially, in accordance with the skill-based improvement of corresponding school of spells (Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, and Restoration), as the increased skill levels of armors can mitigate the debuff of moving speed?

      Do you mean something like?

      if heavy/light armor mastery x && alteration mastery x
      give alteration spell cost buff?

I assume that increase spell cost of this mod while wearing armors cannot be reduced (not as the improved heavy or light armor skills can negate the half of the original movement speed debuff) in this first release.

So I wondered whether the mastery of each magic skills (Alteration / Conjuration/ Destruction/ Restoration) can reduce the increased spell cost by half (max. 16%/24%), as the mastery of armor skills do with the movement speed.

Just found you updated the mod to v 1.1.
Thank you so much for adding new features!
