First and foremost, the scripts provided here are just basic modifications of RossAdamBaker's RAB Smash Splitter. That tool was originally made for filtering plugins specifically for use with Mator Smash.
The modified scripts provided here will allow more specific filtering, so you can easily load only the plugins necessary for patching with zEdit's Unified Patching Framework.


NOTE:
Unless zEdit updates, it will never be ideal for large patchers and large load orders, and these scripts are inherently flawed because of this.
These scripts will almost certainly miss some mods, but the alternative will almost certainly lead to overflowing the plugin limit.
I'd like to encourage all mod authors to migrate to Synthesis.

Right-click the above link, and click "Save Link As...". Save this file to your "SSEEdit\Edit Scripts" folder.

Installation:
The scripts must be installed manually into your "SSEEdit\Edit Scripts" folder.
Ensure you also have "mteFunctions.pas", linked in the requirements, saved to your "SSEEdit\Edit Scripts" folder.


Usage:
Launch SSEEdit, and load ALL of your plugins. (Hold the "Shift" key when hitting OK to skip building plugin references. This will save time.)
Once your plugins have loaded, right-click on any plugin, and select "Apply Script...". (Or, you can right-click, and just hit your "A" key".)
From the Apply Script window, type "000" into the Filter input, and any/all of the Generator scripts you've installed will appear in the dropdown.
Select a script, and run it. A new plugin, sometimes multiple depending on the records, will be generated. You can quit SSEEdit, and save your plugins, or run another Generator.

Launch zEdit, and start a Skyrim SE session. Right-click anywhere on your load order, and hit "Select All". Right-click again, and hit "Uncheck Selected".
Scroll all the way to the bottom, and find the generated plugin for the patcher you want to run. Click its box to enable all of the required plugins, and click it again to uncheck it. (We don't need it to load.)
Hit OK, and click the button in the very top-right that looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece. Run your patcher as you would normally.

Known Issues:

• Exception in unit UPF_Plugin_Loader line 112: Only 0 of 1 masters could be added. Master list now contains 253 entries and is full.
  

If you see this error, you STILL have too many plugins to run whatever script you're using. You will need to disable or merge some plugins.
