You missed Avulstein and Thorald after finishing their quest? Now FarrinRacer's five-star mod is ported to SSE! You can have them as followers after finishing their quests.

Finally, one of my heavily loved mods ported to SSE.
Original LE mod: Gray-Mane Sons followers thanks to lovely Farrin.
Three versions ported.
1. Original hair - RDO needed (without that, Thorald has no voice)
2. Blond hair - RDO needed (the same, but if your lovely sons had blond hair because of some overhaul, that should remain)
3. Patched to work along with NPC overhaul changing the original appearence of the two guys. Load order sensitive - be sure to put this after the NPC overhaul both in the mod order and plugin order.
For me, the mod is working flawlessly with another 518 plugins in my load order, so pretty much should be compatible with literally everything. If you feel like it doesn't, maybe I can try to find the problem.
Also, if somebody heavily need the RDO-less version, I can port that, too, but really did not care to do it just yet.

""Our best hope now is to fall in with the ranks of the Stormcloaks" - says Thorald Gray-Mane after you saved him, but then he and his brother just disappear from the game without trace. With this mod they actually go to join the Stormcloak Rebellion.
Speaking to Fralia Gray-Mane in Whiterun, and then leaving the cell enables duplicates of Avulstein and Thorald, in Windhelm Palace of the Kings Upstairs, in the wing where the court wizard, Wuunferth the Unliving is located. They are in one of the rooms, ready to follow you and/or marry you. They are not actually Stormcloaks, even if you sided with the Imperials, you should have no problem to recruit them. If you did the quest already, I think it will still work. Talk to Fralia about anything, then fast travel to Windhelm, they should be in the Palace of the Kings Upstairs.
Avulstein uses Skyforge Steel battle-axe, and Thorald uses Skyforge Steel sword by default. They have been set to be more efficient in light armor, as the Stormcloak armor set is light. Avulstein (combat barbarian) is better at two-handed, Thorald (combat assasin) is at one-handed. Unfortunately Thorald's original voice doesn't have neither follower, nor spouse dialogue, so I had to change his voice for him to function.
Both of them are essential, willing to commit any crimes for you, and have the perks: light foot, muffled movement, and silent roll.
There are two file versions: one with their original grey hair, and another with a younger looking blond hair. Choose whichever you prefer.
Changelog:
-blond hair version 2: I improved the script a bit and made Olfina blond too, to match her siblings. If you have any mod that changes Olfina's appearance, then overwrite this mod with that one, because this Olfina still looks vanilla, just with blond hair.

-both improved script versions have a new version of them with the original voice of Thorald, for those who use the mod Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (RDO)
