Sampson is a new follower found at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun.
Those of you who have downloaded my Sanguinistas! Mod may recall Sampson as one of the adventuring party members mentioned in The Sanguinista Threat books. Well, now you can recruit him at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun as a follower. This is our friend Dolan's character from our former Skyrim-themed RPG. As part of his character's backstory, Sampson was actually the nephew of Heimskr.
Sampson is a “Paladin” of Talos who is has skills in one-handed, archery, block, heavy armor, and restoration. He has a few Turn Undead and healing spells. He is flagged as Essential and will not impact your stealth.
He is also a merchant with 5,000 gold and will buy just about anything. Check out his book The Eight and the Saint, which besides being a Restoration skill book is either a horrible act of heresy or a brilliant way to stick it to the Thalmor. (You will have to read the book to decide for yourself! This book is based on the player's portrayal of Sampson's religious beliefs).
Sampson can also train you in One-Handed weapon fighting.
He does not have a “Home” AI, so he will stay where you leave him. This is useful if you want to leave him in one of your homes as a live-in merchant.
This mod uses the Vanilla game data, so the only possible conflicts it can have is if you have a mod that radically changes the interior of the Bannered Mare or if there are other NPCs where I placed him.
