About this mod

A companion, a loot chest full of skill books and alchemy supplies, and an amusing story.

Permissions and credits
This is a conversion of the original mod I created for the base game. I've tested it for SE and it appears to be working as intended.

This is the first of several companion mods featuring character created by my gaming group. The events references in Celeste's books are based (loosely) on actual events from a Skyrim-themed RPG I ran years ago.

The Chest Includes:

A Letter from Celeste, the mage who has left the chest behind based on a vision she received from Julianos.

5000 gold (enough to buy Breezehome when the time comes) Or use the money now to buy supplies or train skills.

100 lockpicks (because you can never have too many lockpicks)

5 healing potions

The Sanguinista Threat, vol. 1-5 (These are skill books for in Light Armor, Conjuration, Alteration, One-Handed, and Restoration respectively.)

100 each Blue, Red, and Purple Mountain Flower, Mudcrab Chitin, Hawk Feathers, and Mora Tapinella. If these seem like completely random ingredients to you, make sure you speak with Meridin!

Meridin

Meridin is a Dark Elf hanging out at the Sleeping Giant Inn. Don't let the Dark Brotherhood armor scare you! He's actually a follower of Azura and is happy to help you. He is a merchant with 5000 gold. Make sure to buy his copy of Alchemy for Basic Survival. This is more than just a skill book for Alchemy. If you read it, you'll actually notice it includes recipes that use the ingredients you got in the chest. His vendor AI is set to buy pretty much anything.

Meridin can also train you in Conjuration Magic.

Meridin can also be recruited as a Follower. He is flagged as Essential and won't impact your stealth. He does not have a "home" AI so if you drop him he stays where you left him. This can be useful if you want to take him to one of your homes and leave him there as a live-in merchant.

Meridin uses a custom class as I was trying to simulate my husband's Dark Elf Druid from our weekly Skyrim-themed RPG game. He can use one-handed weapons and bows, and uses the spells Summon Familar, Summon Flame Atronach, and also has a couple of Healing spells.

What, exactly, are the Sanguinistas? You'll have to read the books to find out!

This mod uses stuff from the vanilla game, so there shouldn't be any conflicts unless another mod is using the cell in which I put the chest. I tested it on my game game (I have all DLCs) and had no conflicts. The only conflict I can forsee is if you are using a mod that puts something where the chest should go. Otherwise, this works with all the mods I have on my game just fine.
