Let me ask you something.

What does the Ebony Warrior look like?

Does he look like Samuel L. Jackson should be asking this question?

Then why you smack him around like one?

Are you the kind of Dovahkiin who plays with mods like Ordinator, Multiple Enchants, and others that cause invariable power creep?

Is your Dragonborn so powerful do you have to kill the Ebony Warrior with your fists just so the man can die fighting rather than fold-up in one hit?

Do you fondly remember the days when you first fought the Ebony Warrior and he was a real challenge? At least until you figured out Marked for Death?  Do you want him to be able to put-up a decent fight against your super-modded Dovahkiin without you having to hold back?

Well, then I might have the mod for you.

I brought the Ebony Warrior into the creation kit and gave his ass a tune-up. He's bigger, badder, and more powerful than he's ever been. He's higher level, and has more health.

But wait, there's more!

You're using a mod that lets you stack a ridiculous number of enchantments on your gear aren't you?
C'mon don't lie to me, you know you do.

All of the Ebony Warrior's gear has new enchantments, powerful enchantments, and lots of them. Now you'll no longer have better stuff hanging around in your guest-room closet. The Ebony Warrior is meant to be one of the few people in Tamriel who could be considered your peer, and now he has the over-enchanted gear to prove it.

Some of you if you manage to slay him may argue that its even overpowered, but 2 things.

1) Personally I never loot the Ebony Warrior, this man showed up for an honorable death, and finds it on a mountainside far from his home. I've never been able to justify leaving his naked corpse in the snow. He deserves more dignity than that.

2) For those of you saying “I couldn't care less about his dignity, I already took his soul.” Well, his gear is there for the looting. If you're powerful enough to kill him, then his gear probably isn't going to break your game any further than it already is. That said I did make it impossible to disenchant his loot (unless you happen to use something which dynamically strips that away, in which case I can't do anything about that)

Oh no we're not done. The Ebony Warrior is supposed to be your peer, and now he has the perks to prove it. Unlike other NPCs in the game (unless you use something like ASIS), this new Ebony Warrior actually benefits from enchantments like Fortify One-Handed. So all those buffs on his equipment won't just benefit whoever might loot them.  They benefit him, and will be used against you.

Update - Brimstone Edition

   T
his one is for those really-overpowered Dovahkiins who have five or six enchantments on their miracle weapon, can cast amplified destruction with no magicka cost, and in general kill most things by sneezing on them.  Or people who fought the original version and want something harder still.  Be warned, this version is extremely unfair and absolutely is not recommended unless you want something that will be very punishing.  He will no-sell most of your magic, drinks poison like water, and hits like a truck towing a bigger truck.  You've been warned.  Don't come back and whine on my comments if he's too tough for you.

Update 2 - Inferno Edition
This is it, the final iteration of this mod that I will be releasing.  The Inferno Edition is a slightly modified version of what I use in my own game.  (Modified for Nexus release so that it will not require you to DL a bunch of other mods to go with it.)  If you have used the Brimstone Edition, then Inferno Edition is more.  If Brimstone is a hard fight for you, this one might be too much.  With the release of the Inferno Edition, I consider this mod complete and will no longer be doing updates with it unless someone reports a problem that needs fixing.  I've had very little time in the last couple years to play or mod Skyrim, so I figured I'd go ahead and push this now while I was doing some cleaning on my PC.  For those who've fought Brimstone and want even more abuse, here it is.

Credits
Enai Siaion - Since his excellent "Sumnermyst" has permissively permissive permissions permitting permissive use of his assets, so long as he is credited, I credit him here.  Borrowed a little something from Summermyst to help ole' Ebony chase down kiters.

Big thanks to Cthunsthrall (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/49417783) and
LeanWolf (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/42978)
for their contributions in providing the man in black with an ebony scimitar.

Cthunsthrall - For the scimitar.

Q&A (Updated_

Q: So all you did was pump up his level, his stats, perks, and gear? You didn't write custom scripts and interactions for him or something?

A: Who the hell do you think I am, Enai? No, I didn't.

Q:  What about new equipment?

A:  Er, sort of?  All of his gear now has custom enchantments.  However it maintains the default ebony skins.  Wanted to give him an ebony scimitar at the least, but I know less about modeling and texturing than a politician does about self-restraint.  So if someone wants to volunteer to do that, more power to them.  Otherwise he'll be using whatever models for his gear that you have installed.
Update:  New version now has ebony scimitar.

Q:  Did you give him a whole bunch of crazy new abilities?

A:  No.  I changed up his spell-list a bit (he uses Ebonyflesh now instead of Iron Skin...seemed appropriate).  But the goal here was to make a supercharged Ebony Warrior, not turn the Ebony Warrior into something he's not. He'll likely have a couple of nasty surprises for you, but its more about making him better at what he does rather than making him into something else.

Q: Holy S*it he just steam-rolled my level 100 Dovahkiin, I never got an attack off! What the hell man?

A: The name of the mod is Hell's Ebony Warrior.

Q: Psssh! I reverted the Restoration Glitch and hit him with a sword dealing ALL the damage and he went down. Where's the challenge?

A: Yeah, this mod was meant for people who have a tiny shred of self-restraint, not those who have none at all.

Q: Hah! I'll just kite him and blast him with Marked for Death until I can kill him with a spork!

A: Heh. Good luck with that.

Q: Ha! My Dragonborn has 100% Spell Absorption, and is using an armor rework that gives him all the armor. Nothing can hurt me!

A: I hope you can dish it out as well as you can take it, or you're going to be in for a long fight.

Q: Help! X Feature isn't working! You suck DKhanno!

A: Yeah, this is probably a mod conflict, and I can't really be responsible for making your load order play nice. I used entirely vanilla assets to make him, and anything inspired by another mod I recreated from scratch (minus the little matter of a speed boost, and scimitar in optional version) to avoid potential conflicts. You'll have to mess around with your load order.  The mod is as self-contained as it can be.

Q:  What is the difference between the regular and Brimstone versions?

A:  Well, that would be telling.  But suffice it to say that everything that makes the first version tough, the Brimstone edition has more.  That version hits harder, is tougher, faster, and has a couple of dirty-tricks that the first doesn't.

Q:  What is the difference between the Brimstone and Inferno versions?
A:  That would be telling.  Inferno hits even harder than Brimstone, (and not just a little), is considerably tougher, and is even more resistant to various forms of cheese.  One thing Brimstone has that Inferno doesn't is that the latter does not have the thorns ability (damage reflection) of the former.  This was more or less a necessity to prevent Inferno from being impossible for melee builds.  (Basically if Inferno had Brimstone's thorns and you had enough damage to actually hurt him, you'd mostly be killing yourself through reflected damage.)  However Inferno makes up for this by hitting a lot harder, being a lot harder to damage, and being able to soak more damage.  Think of it this way.  If Regular is 100%, and Brimstone is 150%, Inferno is 225%.

Q:  Does this mod allow me to make the Ebony Warrior a follower?

A:
No.  This mod does not have that functionality.  You'll have to look into options for patching this with mods that do that.

Q:  Will you make a version that lets you make this EW into a follower?

A:
No.  I don't find that idea particularly appealing, and rarely have time to play the game these days.  Let alone spend time developing and  troubleshooting a mod I'm never going to use myself.  Also, if you haven't actually tried this mod.  You need to realize that using this EW as a follower is pretty damn ridiculous.  At that point you might as well just cheat your way through the game with console commands.  Your game, your play, just keep that in mind.

Q: Is this ESP or ESL?

A: Why ESL of course. If I took up one of the valuable ESP slots that you could otherwise use to expand your digital harem, I don't know if I could sleep at night.

A2:  The version with the Ebony Scimitar provided by a Cthunsthrall is an ESL-flagged ESP, so your digital harem should still be safe.

A3:  Brimstone and Inferno editions likewise are ESL-flagged ESP's.
