hmmm....that's odd, the home has Navmesh, so they should be able to navigate around once inside. Thanks for letting us know, we'll look into it, and see what we can do on our end.
I cannot reproduce the error. I entered the house with Lydia as follower, and she came along just fine and moved around normally in the home. So navmesh works.
I stopped in with 4 followers in tow and they entered in fine, sometimes it felt like they had issues sandboxing around and they didn't seem to be able to get downstairs but it could've just been an oddity on my end, but as far as entering the home they worked fine on my end.
Edit: I tried a moment ago again to see if followers would follow me into the basement area and they would not. Kind of sad they can't partake in the garden or the reading area.
Having had a look at the mod in Creation Kit it looks like the stairs down from the upper floor to the lower floor are not navmeshed! So followers can get into the top floor but not down into the basement. Followers can be summoned into the basement and can move around inside, but they can't get out again.
I personally see this as a feature rather than a glitch - I don't want followers around when I am crafting, they just get in the way etc. So I didn't feel inclined to fix this in my upgrade mod...
I have used this extensively now for a few months - it is perfectly located and has all of the facilities you could need - the only thing which is missing is a wood chopping block - which could be inside by the bedroom fireplace or just outside the front door. This is handy if you are making arrows and/or playing a survival mod like Sunhelm. Currently I have to get on my horse and ride to Whiterun to chop my wood... :)
Ok so I decided to have a go at writing a mod to add a chopping block myself, then I got carried away and added some extra storage chests, a water pool so people can refill their waterskins (if playing a survival mod like Sunhelm) and a woodcutting axe and a pickaxe. The mod is called Hobbington Hole Upgrade and hopefully it will be a useful addition for fans of Hobbington Hole looking for a warm fire and a bath at the end of the day :)
I hope you think the additions are in keeping with the Hobbington Hole theme and feel free to incorporate any of them into the original mod if you think they add any value :) Thanks once again for all your hard work on the original mod, without which I would have just been mysteriously dumping some logs and a pool of water into the middle of the tundra for no obvious reason...
This is a brilliant player house. The upstairs is a bit sparce, but the cellar area is amazing - all the benches and crafting tools you need along with generous supplies and garden to get you up and running. Took me a while to find it though - very difficult to spot if you approach from the wrong direction :) Amazing work! And the fact that followers won't enter or follow into the cellar is a bonus feature for me - they just get in the way indoors - so if you could actually block followers from entering intentionally at least into the cellar that would be a selling feature for me :)
Very nice, some suggestions for further improvement: - Entrance is quite huge but somewhat void, maybe some furniture and/or paintings at the walls may fill it - Sometimes part of hanging tapestry disappears into the walls while waving (seen in library/enchanting room) - A stable for horses - A bed more comfortable, as to wake Well Rested - A chair, or bench, or something else, to sit on beside the garden and smoke, waiting for a Wizard!

It's so big have you considered follower beds, kids beds and so forth?

A well made mod for sure!
