There are many examples of Imperialized (and Altmerized?) Bosmer who have given up the cannibalistic elements of the Green Pact, but there are also Bosmer who have given up eating meat exclusively or don't adhere to the Green Pact at all. Bosmer follow their traditions to different extents and while we don't see Valenwood in the 4th Era, I don't believe it's much of a stretch to think some extremely traditional tribes that follow the Pact to the letter could still exist in the deep and wild regions of the province.
In any case, the cannibal aspects are there for characters who would be that traditional, but not every single recipe involves cannibalism. The point of the mod is to give Green Pact friendly Bosmer characters as many food options as I can think of because a vast majority of the recipes in Skyrim have plant ingredients. I made the oldrim version because I was playing a Green Pact Bosmer and realized I can't use many of the drinks in the game and have to munch on raw meat because cooking them almost always involves putting in vegetables.
If your Bosmer would not embrace cannibalism, or if you headcanon that Bosmeri cannibalism traditions are completely gone by the 4th Era, you are welcome to ignore the food items with human/mer ingredients. The recipes that don't include cannibalism will still provide your character with meat-only options beyond what is available in the vanilla game.
lol same in the vanilla game there is the possibility to eat human flesh, both in potions and raw. Also this is a fantasy; it has different social rules than our modern society. For example, killing people at random or public executions. In Skyrim lore it is also clearly said that several Bosmer are still anchored to old traditions and rituals. Lastly, if you don't want cannibalism, simply don't let your character eat human flesh. Or make him take potions based on it. Simple.
I just installed Last Seed recently. I'm still learning all its features but so far it seems to work well with these food items. If Last Seed doesnt have hunger data on a food item, it has the option to walk you through a few menus (or else you can use the MCM) where you categorize what kind of food it is and how filling it will be. It will save your answers too, so you wont have to do that every time for the same food item.
I like it so far. I don't know if there's a patch that will add in the hunger values for this mod, but Last Seed handles it just fine with the above ability.
Great for Bosmers who'd prefer to stick to the Green Pact even outside of Valenwood, non-Bosmers who practice cannibalism and gourmets with more courage then sense.
