Apparently, I need to remind members that the Bug Report tab is not a place to complain about the lack of updates for this mod. I also seem to be required to remind our members that they are not entitled to updates or the mod author's immediate attention to their needs. If you are not familiar with our Terms of Service, take some time to get acquainted with them. Both of the aforementioned behaviors are covered by our ToS, as in "don't do this".
I have version 1.6.1170 and the latest version of the mod gives me the game in error at launch. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, I would like to understand if there is some updated file that I can download because currently I can't use anything that requires this mod.
because your spear is onehanded weapon and is overwriting your sword animation because of the folder number, you need to differentiate them in conditions:
for sword : folder number 123 for example IsActorBase("Skyrim.esm" | 0x000007) AND IsEquippedRightType(1)
for spear : folder 124 for example IsActorBase("Skyrim.esm" | 0x000007) AND IsEquippedRightType(1) AND IsEquippedRight("NAME OF THE ESP CONTAINING YOUR SPEAR WEAPON.esp" | ID OF YOUR WEAPON)
the last line for the spear should look like this IsEquippedRight("grgrdsdqdz.esp" | 0x004745)
For people just checking for updates or compatibility, at this point it is best to switch to using Open Animation Replacer as it is newer and still receiving updates, and is also compatible with other mods which normally require Dynamic Animation Replacer which is likely at end of life and may never receive another update.
however that OAR update comes with a lot of bugs too. In my case, Skyrim has CTD time to time after install it, and ALWAYS when I close the game MO2 throws me a post_mortem message.
Not this mod. Go for Open Animation Replacer instead. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/92109 Even if mods tell you they have THIS one as requirement, you can use OAR without any problems instead.
@Retrowics The main file is for SSE 1.6.629 , which is basically the same as 1.6.640 , so that's the one you need. It doesn't matter if you bought the AE upgrade or not.
@KazKingKaos FNIS/Nemesis and DAR/OAR do different things, so you can't use FNIS instead of DAR/OAR
@drexnorg Downgrade or not to downgrade has always been a complex question, even more now with this.. questionable, new update. But as a general rule, downgrading your game should only be recommended to experienced mod users who know what they're doing. So definitely not the majority of mod users.
You can prevent your game from updating to the new 1.6.1130 in the properties of your SSE game in your Steam library, and then only launch the game through SKSE. In my opinion, it's better to wait until the modding community has adapted to the new version, and then update your game, than to risk breaking your game by downgrading it if you don't know what you're doing. But as I said, it's a complex question, with lots of pros and cons.
Ever feel like one of Bethesda's strategies to increase the number of players migrating to their new mod platform is to confuse the hell out of their modder player base?
Do you know which download version supports SE 1.5.97? I just want to make sure I get the right one, but the other downloads that are listed, aren't labeled.
DAR for Skyrim SE 1.5.97 is in the "Old Files Section" in the "Files" tab. The version you want is 1.1.0. All other versions after that are for Skyrim AE.
