      Thanks, glad you like them.

First off, this Riverwood release is included in the Whiterun release, so if you have the Whiterun NPCs installed don't install the Riverwood NPCs. This could be the cause of your issue.

It could also be that you are using a mod such as "Face Discoloration Fix" that regenerates NPC facegen when the game detects dark face issues. NPC mods that are sculpted in Racemenu (this is the vast majority) are not compatible with mods that regenerate facegen at runtime.

I had both Riverwood release and Whiterun release installed.
Removing Riverwood release fixed my Black / Dark face issues with NPC's in Riverwood...
      Thanks.

I am having a CTD and it seems to indicate that it is the Alvor blacksmith, any ideas?

Ninodes are related to skeletons. It could be a wrong loadorder for skeleton based mods.
If you use HDT/SMP, make sure to load it like: Body (CBBE or BH/UNP) -> FNIS/Nemesis -> DAR -> HDT -> XP32
Also make sure that you've chosen the HDT/SMP variant of xpmsse.
If you find a mod name in the following list, try disabling it and rerun FNIS or Nemesis.

These are only listed as additional hints for probably debugging. If you have no other indicators, this might be worth investigating.
If you do have other indicators, try to solve those first!
That said, it is common to have 2-4 mods listed in a row, however,
lists of 5 or more _might_ cause issues by the sheer amount of what possibly could be overwritten several times.

You are using both the Whiterun and Riverwood release together. As mentioned in the description, all NPCs from the Riverwood release are included in the Whiterun release, so there is no reason to use them together. You are just creating more conflicts and the potential for more issues using them together.

Not saying that is the definite cause of the problem but I'd start there.

Any conflicting hair files within the Northbourne series will simply being overwriting the same files that are included in each module, so no issue. This is why some mod authors now use a single "resource" mod, and then each of the replacer mods use the resources from the one core mod.

All female NPCs have no hair and their face paint is random, even though I have the 'Northbourne NPCs of Riverwood' mod setup correctly. Other 'Northbourne NPC' mods do not have this problem. Help!

You have some mod that is regenerating the NPC's facegen like the mod "Face Discoloration Fix". Mods that fix darkface issues by regenerating facegen with break custom NPC mods like mine. The result is the weird NPCs you see ingame.

Read my reply to your other post for conflicts.

      Also,

This Riverwood mod isn't needed if you are using the Whiterun release as Riverwood NPCs are included in that mod

This is happening to me too but from what I've been looking at now only in some NPC of reverhood (lucan, sigrid and maybe another one. I wanted to know that it could be since I also put the last loading order and wicon the wicon and total character makeover and the same error still appears.

The NPCs from this mod are included in the Whiterun release. If you use both you'll get blackface.

I only keep this page up for those who only want these characters. But this mod has been outdated by the whiterun release.

No face issues for me and I'm using both the Whiterun and Riverwood npc face mods (using this mod because I like Delphine, Gerdur, and Sigrid in this one better). Have this mod after the Whiterun one (in both the mod list and load/plugin order in Mod Organizer).
