the dll files the author says to pull from enb into skyrim folder do not exist. txt file in ENB folder says to drag n drop all files from injector/wrapper into skyrim folder, do I just do that? nevermind, I got lost in the enb website and somehow downloaded oldrim enb even though I'm pretty sure I clicked on SE
For those who can't find "legacy standard effects" when installing ReShade, fear not. There's a very simple solution.
When installing using the most recent ReShade (as of May 11, 2023), select SkyrimSE.exe, select DirectX 10/11/12as normal, BUT NOW:
When it says select preset to install, navigate to the "Nyclix's ENB.ini" file and select it, hit next, AND DO NOT UNCHECK ANYTHING. Hit next again, and it will install all necessary effects.
if you still need it; there should be a .bmp file in your skyrim root folder that appeared due to either the preset or your ENB installation itself. to fix it simply check which one of the .bmp files it is (if you have more than 1) and delete it
I have a problem: My own huge-modding assembly going up for 244+ FPS without active ENB. But when I'm start playing with any ENB preset (Alexa's ENB or Rudy's addon for NAT.ENB, for example), then my FPS going from 244+ to ~10-20 maximum... I still dunno what happen and why my PC support DirectX11 only with stable FPS in another games, not in Skyrim SE. I trying many things to fix that s**t, with many many new games upper 30-40 character lvl, inclusive. But playing with 10-30 FPS in interiors and 5-10 FPS in exteriors is so f**king tr... So, anyone can offer me HOW MUCH MUCH MUCH PERFORMANCE LIKE ENB preset? And yes, I'm already tested some of popularity Performance like presets. It's firstly, help me only for upgrade my FPS to 40+ (not 244+ as usual) and secondly, looks like very raw and ugly... Very ugly. Like, I'm still playing without normal quality ENB on LE skyrim version with DirectX9. I'm very tired to challenge with my PC, settings, ENBs and other things... So, I'm only wonder for knowleage from players who have ENB presets, which run theirs skyrims on 244+ FPS with enbseries.ini samely how if without active ENB. Actually, for Lux and NAT.ENB preset, cos I'm user of those guys.
Yes, I can play without ENB continue with 244+ FPS, but... But with very raw and ugly picture... I hate vanilla Skyrim graphycs. And only playing on ENB. And yes, thats NOT cos I'm wrong around SkyrimPrefs.ini or enblocal.ini etc. It's not depend on this. If they are wrong for that moment - I'm still have 10-20 FPS without any active ENB. I asked only for performance preset.
Writed with help of translator. Thanks for understanding.
This works with rudy enb for cathedral weathers tho not sure if it looks as good as obsidian, but definitely looks better than without any reshade.
Took me a while to make it work butw... First tried to install with current ReShade Setup (5.0) but it doesn't give the option to choose "Legacy Standard Effects" in the packages so it was missing most of the shaders. I managed to download old version (ReShade Setup 4.9) thanks to masoniscool which indeed was giving the package mentioned in the description but again, was missing most of the shaders, just had like 5 or 6 and none of them needed.
Then I saw this ZSourLemon07 comment and tried that way, every shader was installed properly but not the game wasn't booting up.
So what I did was to use "skse64_loader" as application, then I skipped the preset location, and finally what took me the most time; I selected the following packages which are the ones containing the shaders needed (according to the description): "Standard effects" (default), "SweetFX by CeeJay.dk", "AstrayFX by BlueSkyDefender" and once again "Legacy effects". This combination gave me all the shaders needed, several menus will open for each package so I simply selected the ones needed on each manu and that's it. Now it works perfectly.
I know it's been a while ( life, am I right?) but I'm ready to start working on this mod again and bring it up to date. I'm feeling inspired again and keen to get back into Skyrim and Rudy's latest ENB to create the best version yet. No ETA as of yet but Feel free to PM in the mean time :).
Though not as good or crisp looking as the intended enb (Obsidian), I did actually use your reshade on top of his Cathedral ENB just to see and it looked pretty good tbh. I'd love to see a proper version of it. Yours was always my favorite. Love your vibrant warm colors so much.
Some bad news: nyclix was last active on 21 May 2022 =( Not sure that here can be any update in close adapting it to new reshade and enb =( I mean if he's offline for so long he can just not know about there was an update like that... So... Someone knows updating alternative with some fantasy-look?
Hey I need help please, I'm trying to uninstall it because i wanted to give a try to another graphics mod, so as soon I delete the dxgi.dll (I deleted everything else I guess, no enb folder nor the other dlls) my game just crashes at startup, but if i put that dxgi.dll in Skyrim SE folder again it doesn't crash, any help please? thanks!
