Know that once I completed the questline, I saved immediately. If you have a mod that affects the location in which the PC is located, you could have a CTD. Knowing this, please perform the following to ensure maximum compatibility.
1. Run Skyrim via the Skyrim Launcher.
2. Load up your desired clean save.
3. Relocate the PC to a safe, unmodded location. (Try exterior cells, caves, etc... Somewhere that isn't an often modded location.)
4. Create a full save file (not a quicksave).
5. Startup your preferred mod manager.
6. Run Skyrim as you normally would via your mod manager.
7. Load up the new save you created.
If this still causes a CTD, message me your load order and I will do my best to assist. Thank you!
Description:
I have grown weary of restarting the game due to a save corruption or glitched save, so I decided to do something about it. In the files for download, you will find my save repository. It is a group of saves by quest/significant event for Vanilla, Dawnguard and Dragonborn main questlines. I hope you find it useful. Enjoy.
How I did it:
- I launched directly from steam.
- I did not skill up the entire run.
- Due to 2, I did not level up the entire run.
- I used only the following console commands: God Mode(tgm), Toggle Map Markers(tmm), kill, killall, and unlock.
- I only completed side quests associated with the Vanilla/Dawnguard/Dragonborn main quests.
- I streamlined the run the best I could as to not complete any other content besides the main quests.
Loot Dump Locations:
Not very often did I dump loot, that's why on most saves you will find you are overencumbered. But where I did dump loot, I dumped it in these locations:
- Delphine's secret room in the Riverwood Inn. In a barrel in the back.
- Fort Dawnguard entrance hall in a barrel.
