I tried everything, installed the original mod and applied the patch with your modified file and nothing, a shame, I'm playing as a wizard and it's a nightmare to have so many spells
I made a manual download of this and there isn't an esp file in the archive, so you need to update that yourself from the original esp. There are however a pair of pair of other files in the archive.
Small request, i noticed my spells are re-casting way to early, could you change the SetSliderDialogRange float for MCM config from 30>120... i couldn't get it to compile myself :( (_scs_config_1_0.psc) elseIf a_option == iMenuID_AutoCastDelay self.SetSliderDialogStartValue(sc_AutoCastDelay[iCurrentSmartSpell] as Float) self.SetSliderDialogDefaultValue(5.00000) self.SetSliderDialogRange(0.000000, 120.0000) self.SetSliderDialogInterval(5.00000) elseIf a_option == iMenuID_DispelDelay self.SetSliderDialogStartValue(sc_DispelDelay[iCurrentSmartSpell] as Float) self.SetSliderDialogDefaultValue(5.00000) self.SetSliderDialogRange(0.000000, 120.0000) self.SetSliderDialogInterval(5.00000) endIf endFunction self.SetSliderDialogRange(0.000000, 120.0000)self.SetSliderDialogRange(0.000000, 120.0000)These are the two i'd like changed <3 Even if you/someone could upload the compiled PSC, that would be awesome.
Just a heads up, the ESP in this mod can safely be ESL-ified in SSEEdit with no problems! Currently enjoying Arcanum's Spellshot Repeater spell being continuously recast while I'm in combat, with a bow drawn, and when my magicka is greater than 50% thanks to Smart Cast's rules MCM.
Tysm man, I was looking exactly for this answer. Do let us know if you do end up encountering any errors. In the meantime I'm gonna eslify it myself too and see if I ever get any errors throughout my playthrough
In case you never figured this out, or someone else is wondering, flag the .esp as .esl in SSEedit and then right click the .esp file and select "Compact forms for ESL" and then save. Should work just fine.
if using M02 do NOT install the patch as a separate mod rename the mod to what you named the original and hit the merge (also download the pinned esp you'll have to manually replace the original esp) that's what worked for me
This helped me -> props to Ausarq23 for the recommendation.
First, if installing on Vortex which is where I had the issue. In Vortex put the suggested load order. So the patch (the one on this page) comes AFTER the original file.
Then download the pinned file Smart Cast Form 44. Right click on the ORIGINAL file in Vortex, and replace the .esp file in the ORIGINAL folder location.
What just happened?! I do people instruction, replace the Original Smart Cast with Smart Cast SSE Patch and the game won't even launch with no error, just close by it self,,,, but when i setting the Original Smart Cast REPLACE the Smart Cast SSE Patch, it does work!
Did you find a solution? I'm trying to use this with VR to trigger Campfire's Instincts power, but I'm having the same issue where it only fires once and then stops working until a reload =/
Hello, I am installing the original mod from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43123 I also installed the SSE Patch from this page, all with vortex. But when I give it to play directly it does not start. what am I doing wrong? I used a translator sorry if it is not understood.
[I'd wanted-to reply-to both this and another comment on this same thread, this one happens to be closer to the front of the page so hopefully that means a quicker response]
I'd also like to see an expansion of the limits on this mod/patch, allowing-for say "more than 3 items per Combo" and "more than 10 Smart Spells". Is this something that is in the works, and if not, may I ask why? If it hasn't already been determined to be impossible (i.e. due-to some inherent limits on the game-engine itself, or maybe Papyrus), can the source (patch + OG) be made available so that others *can* work on this?

"Spell Ring 23" [ARMO:F500CF65] has invalid ObjectID 00CF65 for a light module
Do you maybe know what caused this and how can fix? Thanks

1st person works for some spells however 3rd person never works. dual magic or just left hand. other left hand attacks for melee/block work fine.

Once you reach enough spell mods to buff yourself, even that all aint enough
The source being accessible would be nice
