Everyone is aware of how you can save yourself from death by stuffing the whole dairy aisle down your stomach in cheese. Almost everything consumed in this game is instant. Food also seems redundant as well. I mean, why bother if you're just going to use those overpowered money machine potions of yours?
This is my attempt at fixing that. The lightest and most compatible way possible. As they say, if you don't like it, mod it yourself. With that, I bring you:

What does this mod do? It changes a few simple things:
- Changes all static potions or instantaneous sources of Health, Magicka, and Stamina into duration based, price balanced effects.
- Rescales existing duration-based consumables in terms of stats. (Ex. longer duration on resistance potions with reduced scale to magnitude.)
- All craftable potions reflect this same effect as mentioned above.
- Food gives small temporary buffs. Meat based meals are more biased towards health, whereas plant based meals are more biased towards stamina. Stews that have both will have some element of both stamina and health benefit. Some foods even have Magicka buffs as well.
- Uncooked food will only have fortify effects. (Sorry Mr. Potato).
- Does not add any extra ingredients or recipes. Uses existing vanilla recipes and ingredients.
This is to (hopefully) have a smoother gradient to alchemy scaling no matter what perk mods are used. No perks were modified in order to keep as much compatibility as possible.
Requirements:
- Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - This is because of a record that has to be forwarded for a food item within the patch.
- Skyrim Special Edition - Sorry LE. (If there is any interest in porting it, please ask for permission first. Not sure if porting is necessary though.)
Installation:
Simply install with your mod manager of choice. There are no fancy FOMOD installers or MCM configurations to be had.

Mostly everything. Due to the wild variance of modlists, I cannot guarantee this. Possibly incompatible with mods that do similar things (CACO comes to mind).
