Remorseless Winter - A Deathknight Spell Pack

Since I mostly play Deathknight-ish characters whenever necromancy is a possibility in an RPG I decided to create my own modded spells taking Warcraft's third generation Deathknight's abilities and spells as inspiration.

Before getting into the spells I GREATLY RECOMMEND this Frost FX Overhaul: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29817
It will make all frost/ice spells look a million times better. (see pics)

If youre updating to 1.9 from a previous version make sure to go to Windhelm and eat the frozen heart again.

Description:

Adds some new Deathknight inspired Spells to the game.



The Spells:



- Death Coil:

Blast your enemies with shadowdamage and inflict a "withering" status on them which deals additional shadow- and magicka damage over time.
Does more damage if the enemy is affected by "frostfever".



- Defile Corpse:

Deny your enemies the mercy of death by turning their corpse into either a Ghoul Servant if they are a male humanoid (Nord,Redguard,Imperial or Breton) ,
a Banshee Servant if they are a female elf (high-, dark- or woodelves will count. Orcs just didnt fit with the Warcraft lore and there arent any female snowelves in Vanilla as far as I know)
or an Undead Dragon Servant if they are a Dragon.
READ:
THE SCRIPT USES THE DISABLE COMMAND TO MAKE THE CORPSE DISAPPEAR SO NPCS THAT CANT BE DISABLED (GUARDS FOR EXAMPLE) WONT DISAPPEAR WHEN USING THIS SPELL ON THEIR CORPSE. IT WILL STILL CREATE THE NEW SERVANT THOUGH. THIS MEANS YOU COULD CREATE AN ARMY FROM JUST 1 GUARD CORPSE. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT INTENDED BUT I DIDNT WANT TO EDIT VANILLA RECORDS.



- Icy Grave:

Freeze the air into giant Ice Spears that come crashing down all around you, creating damaging Spikes on the ground.
This is the most powerful Spell yet in this mod and it should not be used near innocent bystanders unless you want to absolutely annihilate them. (You, your followers and your Minions are safe though)


- Master of the Undead:

Eating the frozen heart gives you this hidden ability which will allow you to automatically summon 3 Skeleton Archers whenever combat starts.
These are fairly weak and are meant to distract your enemies. 

You also get a lesser power called "Merciful Master" which will allow you to deactivate and/or reactivate this ability.


- Raise Army:

Raises all corpses around you no matter their prowess in life (in death everybody is the same...) but only for 30 seconds. Conjuration Perks will apply and increase the duration.
Does not work on Dragons or mechanical enemies. 
Basically the ritual stone as a lesser power, tweaked stats, changed visual- and sound FX.
[THE OPTIONAL ESP MAKES THIS SPELL LAST FOREVER]



- Remorseless Winter:

Conjures a Snowstorm ;at your current location during casting, which damages, slows, and depending on your Destruction Perks might paralyze your enemies.
Does more damage if the enemy is affected by "frostfever" or "withering".
Basically the Blizzard spell but one-handed, tweaked stats, removed selfdamage for you aswell as your followers, removed camera shake and generally a "calmer" version of Blizzard FX-wise.


- Asphyxiate:

Cut off your enemies air supply by lifting them into the air, incapacitating them, and slowly choking them to death. Destruction Perks will apply here aswell.
Only beings that actually breathe will be affected by the damage per second. Undead for example will only suffer havoc damage if you throw them around. 
Basically the Vampire Lord grab with tweaked stats, changed visual- and sound FX.


- Raise Dead:

Raises a Skeleton Minion that will serve you until dead or sacrificed/dismissed.
If you have the Twin Souls Perk you will summon an additional Mage Skeleton.
These minions are equipped with rune weapons which will weaken the enemies' damage- aswell as magic resistance for 15 seconds and this effect stacks.
The standard skeleton minion with the battleaxe has a stronger version of this enchantment.
To make up for that; the skeleton mage will summon its own 2 basic skeletons and infect your enemies with "frostfever" and/or "wither" so that your own spells will deal more damage to them.
The Skeleton minions count towards the summon limit.


- Death Pact:

Sacrifice your Minions to restore your health. You don’t actually have to hit your minions with this. It has a huge area so no matter where you throw this spell, your minions will be sacrificed and you will get your health back. Works ONLY on your Skeleton minions summoned with "Raise Dead" and "Defile Corpse" minions.


- Howling Blast:

A mid-range gust of ice and snow that inflicts "frostfever" on your enemy and others in close proximity.
"Frostfever" will deal additional Frost Damage over time.
Does more damage if the enemy is "withering".


- Anti-Magic Shell:

90% Chance to absorb Spells and Dragon Breaths and restore your own Magicka for a few seconds.


- Control Undead:

Force target Undead to temporarily fight for you.


THE STATUS EFFECTS:

They last 15 seconds each.
They do a small amount of damage on their own but will become deadly when stacked or used in combination with other spells/attacks.
Enemies affected by "withering" or "frostfever" take more physical damage by the player.
They also take more damage by Howling Blast, Death Coil, Remorseless Winter and some minion attacks.
If an enemy is affected by both, they will take even more damage.


Optional Spell:

Summon Frostwyrm:
Conjures an undead Frostwyrm at the location on the ground you're pointing at.
It is rideable with the Bend Will Shout although it is very proud and will sometimes resist your shout.
Just keep resummoning and shouting and it will eventually do your bidding. 
IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THERE'S ENOUGH SPACE ON THE GROUND WHERE YOU'RE SUMMONING OR THE SPELL WONT TRIGGER!
 
Basically a Frostdragon with custom textures, tweaked stats and slightly tweaked Frost shouts.
Counts towards summon limit.



Where to get the Spells:

As you enter Windhelm through the main gate, check out the brazier infront of the inn.
You will find an
Ancient Urn  on the left of it containing the Spelltomes/Consumable.

The optional Spell can be found in the Urn on the right of the brazier

Install:

-Either through NMM,MO2 or Vortex or whatever Mod program youre using.

or manually by dragging the data folder to your skyrim directory



Uninstall:

-simply deactivate/uninstall in your Mod program

or manually by deleting the files associated with this mod in your Skyrim data directory

AS WITH ALL MODS CONTAINING SCRIPTS I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND UNINSTALLING MID-PLAYTHROUGH.



Compatibility:

Should be compatible with pretty much anything
If not just let me know and I'll see what I can do!
The spells all benefit from Ordinator and its perks where possible.

Version 1.8 : "SYNERGY-UPDATE" :
-spells and minions will now interact with eachother a little better.
-as a result i nerfed the core spells to not make them overpowered (with the new synergy they were way too powerful even on legendary).       -Raise Skeleton" - minions now have custom weapons with custom enchantments as well as roles :
1.: the warrior minion will weaken enemies resistances,
2.: the mage minion will buff your spells by infecting your enemies with "frostfever" and/or "wither"
-slightly altered "Death Coil" fx and sound fx.

Version 1.9: "withering" and "frostfever" will now also increase your physical damage against affected enemies, changed the "master of the undead" ability slightly.
