    So how does this mod actuall work after installation?
    I have downloaded and installed it with Skyrim, and the game can be started and run correctly. But I did not receive any message or information about this finger. When I went to a Orc hold (I had become friendly with Orc before installing this mod) and speak to any of the Orc, they did not give me the quest or item either.
    So what should I do exactly to get the quest or finger?

      From the UESP website

      you must find an Orc guard in order to trigger the quest.
      If you ask the guard how they can be persuaded to grant you access, they will tell you to reclaim an item: the Forgemaster's Fingers

    OK so I have a question:

    "so no one will bother with giving you the quest..."

    "This mod adds them to one guy, and causes the quest to send you after him instead."

    Presumably this is the same quest that no-one will bother to give you? So, even though the Fingers now exist in the world, whether you get the quest or not, you still have little to no chance of finding them because you still won't get the quest, is that correct?

    Hey, coming back to say that I love this mod :)
    Aaand to ask if you'd consider doing something similar with LotD's starting quest since the items you have to get also only spawn in after getting the quest (except maybe the ring?)

    Anyone know who has the fingers?

    Can't even get the dumb quest to start and I've helped the two Orcs in Markarth and the Orc Tribes still don't consider me Bloodkin.

    Edit the First: Apparently disabling the mod got whatever the problem I was having resolved.

    Edit the Second: The Forgemaster's Fingers have reverted back to their vanilla appearance.

    Edit the Third: I decided, f*#@ it. Uninstalling the mod, can't remember which of my other mods let me do it, but I can make Orcish Gauntlets with the Fortify Smithing Enchantment myself rather than get them from this mod.

    so who has the fingers acually? Because the author is kinda wage about that and i do not have the quest and do not want to start a new playthrough just to find it out

    I'd suggest actually naming the file so people know what it is after downloading it with their mod manager. I'm going to have to download manually, then rename it properly before I put it in my MO downloads folder. A lot of people might just skip downloading this mod due to that fact. But other than that, this mod is a blessing.

      It's good advice for mod authors, but for the users:

      You can download a file from Nexus via MO2, rename it in your MO2 downloads folder (don't touch the last part with all the numbers and dashes), then in MO2 downloads tab (the file will now have an exclamation mark) right click it and select "Query Info". This will register / recognize the file as if you've downloaded it with that name.

      No they won't and no offense but it is a lazy idea to not download a mod because of errors in a simple naming convention. Using MO2 I have needed to rename more mods than I can count, including version number, mod number. I simply called this Forgemaster's Fingers and labeled them as Items - Objects - Player. If using MO1 or MO2 you should always adapt the interface to your needs rather than leaving it messy, thus no issues renaming mods.

    Not gonna use the mod since the item isn't anything special, but kudos to you for the description.

    More like "Schrodinger's Fingers" amirite?

    Hi, nice ! Idea: Could you make a version where the Orsimer player can have this quest too, please ?
