Everything should be in order, but if there are any problems, let me know and i will see what I can do to fix them.I did not create this mod, I only ported it. So all credit for this should go to the original Mod page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57404?
For all those who would ask, it should be compatible with any college overhaul that doesn't radically change the college. I haven't found one that isn't compatible.
Heads up. The mod is flagged by vortex as incompatible mod. Not using any college mod other than The Great City of Winter hold which I dont understand why that would be an issue. I had run Immersive College NPCs, pulled it out yet same issue. Tried using it w/new game and no dice. I downgraded my SE Game via the Unofficial SSE Downgrader EXE. Other ported mods work fine and all of my old mods work fine also. Really wanted to check this out as the college has always been lacking in my opinion. Did I miss something?
I don't use vortex and I have no idea why it would flag this mod as incompatible, or even what that means in a vortex sense. It is compatible with all the College mods I have tested it with in the Special Edition. I suspect it has to do with a vortex setting, but I really can't advise you in what is wrong. I use this mod with Mod Organizer 2 in the SSE without any issues.
Update the other file loads perfectly through Vortex. Thank you for replying. I am currently setting a record for me , 501 mods so far. Trying to fill Skyrim with as many npc based mods as im alloted. Ive had no error for Immersive Wenches yet it will crash me on load or when I approach the cave after loading (strange to say the least). So off to the college I go. Ill let you know how it did when I get there...Thanks again.
if you use any LE mods, the LE .bsa will crash skyrim on load. They have to be remade in a SE format with something like CAO.
If you want to use a lot of NPC overhauls, This might be worth some time. It takes all your npc overhaul esps down to 1 esp. I personally have had around 65 npc overhauls at once, excluding children and High Poly.
get you a crash logger. The majority of the time I crash it's due to an NPC texture that I jacked with. So I read the crash logger and it gives me a number. Well, it's not so obvious. You have to look up how to read the crash log. I still don't know exactly what it all means but I've been doing ok so far. I go to SSEEdit, leave all mods highlighted as they are. Then I place that code from the crash logger (a bit not so obvious to find) on the upper left corner window to search. It usually takes me to the character that's suspect. One time all I had to do was reinstall the mod in question and it fixed it. Another time, I do not understand how this happened, but in Vortex, a plugin was enabled, but when I went to the actual mod folder, it was greyed out. So the plugin was enabled but the folder was not. So strange. Anyway, I enabled the folder and problem got fixed. I think like 80 percent of my crashes are from NPC's that I downloaded and so far the issues have been fixable.
Correction: NPC's that I downloaded, but jacked with further after downloading. User error on my part.
I am betting you have a SDD and the CTD issue is corrupted files. I have seen that myself with my own SDD. I have never seen corrupted files so much as since I got the SDD Drive. It is more often then not, only NPCs that seem to get corrupted. And yes the crash logger generally works well, though sometimes it can be pretty obtuse.
yeah me too, though if you want them really integrated, try obscure's College of winterhold, and immersive College NPCs, Obscure integrated the immersive college NPCs. I actually use both and this mod. Obscure also has a lot of good patches though many of them can be used with other College of Winterhold overhauls. If you are into Mage characters, I would say Obscure has the best all round integration.
The loose version currently only contains the .esp, missing the textures and meshes, leading to dark (brown) face for all new students. Extracting the BSA from the BSA version to get the meshes and textures worked, of course, but still, I figured I'd let you know.
Not sure why you would have to do that. There is no longer a loose version. only an esp and esp-fe. If you want the loose files you can use Cathedral assets optimizer to extract the bsa. As there are no vanilla NPCs that are being overwritten, it is kind of moot. The primary reason so many NPC overhauls come with loose files is because the loose files overwrite the files in a bsa, and that is not the case here.
I saw a strange bug. In Whiterun at the marketplace, the vegetables and other objects and also npcs start moving over the ground in one direction. They objects etc dont go through other objects, they still hit things like Walls or market stands but it seems like something pulls them. Like an invisible stream, when a npc enters that, he cant move in another direction. But it doesnt affect me. If I uninstall, the problem doesnt occur.
I'm not sure why you would have that issue as this mod doesn't touch whiterun. There are sometimes incompatabilities between mods that are not obvious even to experienced modders. I suspect they have to do with engine issues or something, though I honestly couldn't say with any certainty. It does sound like you have an issue, but it is not caused by this mod alone, and very possibly not by this mod at all. All I can suggest is to disable 1/2 your mods and keep this mod enabled and see if the issue is still there. Keep narrowing it down until you find the other culprit, or the mod/setting responsible. I have over 550 active esps and I don't have any issues with this mod. Sorry I can't be more helpful
Love that you ESL flagged this, you're fighting the good fight. But I really wish people would put ESL in the title, or make a tag for it. I had no idea for a looong time that you'd put an ESL on here.
I have always used immersive College of Winterhold. I don't play a mage character, it just isn't in my blood. It might be a funny thing for me to say considering I Ported this to SE, but I do visit the college in my playthrough, I just don't spend a lot of time there.
OK, thanks. I shall give them a chance to live in MCW.
EDIT: back from a short inspection visit to the MCW. All appears to go well for your (mine, now?) students with polite greetings and "Need something?" So, IMHO, MCW qualifies in your recommended list, but I've been known to be wrong. Endorsed. In the meantime, cheers to you.
PS. Are they all indoors students? I may not have stayed long enough to see them strolling about in the courtyard, going between the halls or to town
They have different packages. a couple of them will go to the tavern. The rest stay at the college and travel between the residence and the main building.
This also works with Obscures College of Winterhold and will probably work with any college overhaul that isn't too radical

The normal ESP version works without problems.
