    Version 1.1:
    - Only Hjerim cell is affected. NOTHING ELSE.
MS11 quest and all Windhelm-related should still run unaffected. If they don't, THIS MOD IS NOT THE CAUSE.
    - Strongbox on table in front room contains all "Blood on the Ice" quest items. Take whatever you need/want for your playthrough.
    - This is LAST UPDATE to this mod. My All-In-One will be released soon, and will require a new game, as many record numbers are changed.
    - If you want the children's room you still need to purchase it from the Steward. Even though it's "Enabled at Start" that's the way the game is.

    December 17, 2020:
Welp it happened. I just got fed up and locked comments b/c people cannot or will not read the Description, Sticky, and my replies, and still complain about things clearly stated in one or more of those places. Tired of it.

    Hi
Three small issues turned up with my first arrival at Windhelm. I bought the house no problem. But the master bed is missing! The tables either side and the chest at the foot of the non-bed are there. There's a hulking great wardrobe sitting in the middle of the downstairs left room (it won't disable, either). And there's a chest stuck to the ceiling by the smithy downstairs.
I'm going off hunting to see what my load order is telling me so I may be able to fix them locally. - Update: I can't. :-(
Oh, and Calixto is alive and well - sends his regards :-) !

Bed: maybe you have to buy the bedroom upgrade? I didn't change anything about it, except maybe the x,y,z...
Wardrobe & "chest stuck to the ceiling"??? No idea, sorry.

On buying the house, and trying to buy decorations for the home, the guy told me I already had all the items. But I have not purchased any decorations at all!! I just went back and double-checked, and it is still the same answer from the guy.
Here are three pictures showing the issue: https://postimg.cc/gallery/0vJbzS0
I did walk into Windhelm, watched the altercation at the entrance, and then walked to the Palace and purchased the home. Have I broken what you did?

      Thanks!

I honestly have no clue :-/ Bed showed up fine for me, without having to buy anything. I always test on a new clean game.

Please, can you tell me if I would normally have to purchase the decorations with your mod? If I know the answer to that then I can track the source of the problem.
I wonder what on earth is in my game that is doing this?!

Great mod.But the same for me. I start3ed a new game. It is not possible to buy anything from steward, the wardrobe is sitting in the middle of the left room. Some furniture is blooking the doors upstair. But the beds are OK. I have no idea what to do.

I swear I'm about to lock comments on this mod. The wardrobe issue is explained in the description. Please read it. You will have to disable it in console. The files AND THE STICKY CLEARLY say that it ONLY affects the cell itself. NOTHING ELSE. The steward dialogue is NOT AFFECTED.

hey there. Mystic Condenser SE patch for all your houses is needed because it has a bit of conflict.

What is the conflict? That mod only places Condensers in Jarl Keeps, which my houses don't touch.

Hey, love your mod! Hjerim is now the Windhelm hideout for my Dunmer, however 1 report:

The closet with the false back panel has lost it's doors and is just a gaping hole like a badly removed door in houses nowadays.

Thank you! But how's that possible? I certainly didn't (intentionally) remove the doors, and they appeared properly for me in testing...

    >staff enchanting

I'm not entirely sure Neloth would allow a bunch of openly racist, smelly Nords from Windhelm to handle his life's work, even if it's for the Dragonborn's sake. Or really, anyone, knowing Neloth. I could maybe see him allowing a staff enchanter in Winterhold and one in Markarth, but in Windhelm of all places? He's more likely to burn the city down and salt the smoking ruins just to make a point.

This is just my lore-obsessed self wondering how anyone outside of Winterhold would somehow end up in the good graces of one of the most arrogant and unlikable Telvanni archwizards ever, mind you. If that doesn't concern you, carry on as scheduled. XD

I was reading this thinking... "Really?" then I got to the end. Ok. No, that doesn't concern me. It's a tool, a tool any mage player might like to have in their home, simple as that. If a PC doesn't want it for whatever reason they can easily remove it via console. Thanks for the comment.

This mod is given me problems as well, when I first enter Windhelm the dialog between Rolff and Suvaris doesn't start and neither the dialog outside of Aventinos house or the dialog outside the merchant in the grey quarters and I can't rent a room in candleheath hall. I don't say it is this mods fault could be this mod together with another mod that breaks does thing but the dialogs did start after I disable this mod and started a new character

As I've said before: This mod itself has NOTHING to do with dialogues or quests, aside from MS11 ("Blood on the Ice"). Please troubleshoot yourself before simply commenting that something "just happens to break with this mod."

Sorry but I thought I was clear the misc dialogues around Windhelm never starts when I install this mod. But when I uninstall this mod and starts a new game with the same loadorder except this mod the dialogues works just fine. I don't know how much clearer I can be. I know questions like mine can be infuriating and for that I am sorry. Your Breezehome mod in Whiterun seems to be working because those general dialogs works just fine. I haven't visit the other cities which have your other house mods yet, Whiterun and Windhelm is the only cities I have visited since I installed your "Vanilla" house mods

The room renting was human error I had stealth tools installed which stop you from speaking with people when using a mask. But stealth tools and wearing a mask does not affect general dialogs that isn't directed to the player.

I don't know how much clearer *I* can be. You still didn't troubleshoot, you're still blindly blaming my mod, and you haven't said whether you're using the main file with MS11 removed, or the "cell only" file, which literally ONLY affects the cell. No dialogues, no quests.
Yes, Breezehome affects ONLY that interior cell, and nothing else, so of course those dialogues will still work fine.

I'm sorry if I offended you that was not my intention. I did a troubleshoot by using only Anna Hjerim, SKSE64, Creation Club Nordic Jewels and Creation Club Curious no other mods was present and the dialogs didn't start so you can see why I suspect your mod and I'm using "Anna Hjerim ESL" file. I hope I gave the right report this time? And again I'm sorry if I offended you in any way that was not my intention. I love Anna NPCs and Anna Vanilla inns.

The "Anna Hjerim ESL (cell only)" seems to be working so I gonna use that file instead. Sorry again if I offended you in anyway.

I actually had this issue too. Whenever I entered the city no one would speak to me apart from classic greetings, I couldn't enter The White Phial because it was locked and (And even if I unlocked it without the guards seeing me, entering wouldn't start any quest like it normally would)
So basically I couldn't start ANY quests in the whole city. I couldn't get stuff done, so I decided to remove all of my mods, including this one I think. And it still wouldn't work, the only way I fixed it was reinstalling my game.
I haven't used this since then and its worked fine. I'm sure the one that only edits the Cell would work, although I haven't tested it because I'm too scared this will break my game again and I'll have to remove my mods and start everything all over again.
And the only reason I'm saying this is because you seemed to have gotten really mad at the person who was only pointing out an issue they found, so yea no it was definitely ur mod. Just accept it. I'm sure the cell version works just fine though.

Wow!!! Absolutely love having stairs instead of a trap door to the level below. Also noticed that the top of the forge no longer pokes through the main floor in the "Only Affects the Cell" version. Nevertheless the place could use a few touchups (applies to both versions).
    a) Removing Wardrobe (000DF5A9) from children's room
    b) Moving 2 plaques (000DF581 & 0010291D) so no longer overlapping new housecarl's room entrance location. (weird part about these plaques is that they kind of switch back and forth between their original spots and the corrected ones between game loads). In game "markfordelete" console command is only way to get rid of them.
    c) Adjusting navmesh so Followers are no longer bumping into the wall covering what used to be the entrance to the housecarl's room when asked to use one of the beds and also giving them access to the bathtub and the blacksmith equipment.
    d) Alchemy (DF6DF) and Enchanting (DF6DD) stations currently disabled. Using prid and enable commands for each of these references will make them appear.

Below are other results of extensive testing of both versions of your mod
    1. The NO Quest Version
Will only work if you have the original game masters installed. Using cleaned masters (with or without Alternate Start) gave me the same results as the ones Drevan80 writes about below. Unfortunately, using unaltered masters can cause problems with mods based on cleaned ones.
    2. Only Affects Cell Version
Best to activate after completion of "Blood on the Ice" since you can no longer get access to the evidence required to continue your investigation - unless you use the console to add a copy of "Beware the Butcher" pamphlet and the Necromancer's Amulet to your inventory.

As for the quest. Never liked the market place scene. It's happens in front of a guard who is just a couple steps away. Whether Calixto succeeds in killing his latest victim or flees before being able to do so, the guard does NOTHING and doesn't have to account for not doing so. Moreover, if the player manages to abort the murder, the victim acts like nothing happened.

      Thanks for the feedback WalkinDreams!
      a) I can't remove the wardrobe in kids room, as doing so produces a dirty edit, so in cleaning it just gets added back in.
      b) plaques and all are perfect in my game, I very carefully adjusted every single thing around my wall edits. You say "switch back and forth" sounds like old game data in the cell and not my mod, which "purging" the cell or "resetinterior" might help.
      c) I no longer adjust navmesh since the annoying feature of latest xEdit reports deleted navmeshes as errors, even when I don't actually delete any. I'm fed up with trying to fix those errors since I find the latter part of the guide for doing so very confusing, so now I just don't change the existing nav.
      d) already fixed for next update -- which will be my All-In-One as a new mod.

      1. Not sure what to tell you, as this mod is definitely based on clean masters, as I always clean mine and keep copies of cleaned ones for those times I have to reinstall everything.
      2. I will add those things somehow to next update.

hi anduniel. big fan of your house mods. any chance for secret areas, secret basement (trapdoor?) or secret storage? a trapdoor sticks out under the carpet a little? maybe pullbar/lever behind a bookcase? check out this port here by my friend, it has the exact same mechanisms integrated into breezehome (you have to buy the upgrades) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28292 please make it happen! i love your work and i think this addition it would only make sense for more secret storage with all these bandits and soldiers roaming about :)

Could I still install this mod at this point, or would it get messy? I don't know much about mods and can't use SSEEdit sadly.
    Thank you!

Thanks! Unfortunately I can't attest to installing the mod after doing the quest. Whether bought or not, when you enter the first time with this installed it *should* be perfectly clean and in order, with everything new in place. If it's still messy, it probably has old data in the save, and you'll need to "reset interior" (console code, look it up), or "purge" it. I don't know the exact code since I haven't really had to do that.

Thank you for your reply then I'm gonna try it out and see how it goes!

Thank you! Yes I have started doing Severin manor, but I'm just deciding on how I want to plan it at this point. Lot of directions it could go with all those basement storage rooms.
