About this mod

This is a spreadsheet which lets you plan out which potions you're going to make and what ingredients you're going to use for each potion.

DESCRIPTION:
This mod is a spreadsheet.  It lets you plan which two ingredients you're going to use for each potion that you make.

Each potion has a list of ingredients that are available to make the potion.  This list gets updated based on which ingredients are available, so ingredients that you don't have or have run out of won't appear in the list.

What you CAN'T do with this spreadsheet:
  • You can't plan out potions that have multiple effects
  • You can't plan out potions that use three ingredients
  • You can't plan out a single potion that uses multiple different pairs of ingredients
  • You can't predict the value or magnitude of your crafted potions

THE SPREADSHEET:
There are three visible tabs and one hidden tab on this spreadsheet:
  • Calculator, where you will do virtually all of the work
  • Ingredients-Effects, a list of ingredients and their corresponding effects
  • Effects-Ingredients, a list of effects and their corresponding ingredients
  • Lists (hidden), dynamic ingredient lists for each effect.  I recommend that you don't touch this one.

You're going to do pretty much all of the planning on the Calculator tab.  The other two visible tabs are there primarily for your reference.

HOW TO USE:
  • To begin, first go to the Calculator tab.
  • Enter the initial quantities for each ingredient that you have into the green column
  • For each potion you want to make: Select your first ingredient from the drop-down list in the yellow Ingredient 1 column, select your second ingredient from the drop-down list in the yellow Ingredient 2 column, and enter the amount of potions that you want to make in the blue Crafted Quantity column.  The ingredients that appear in these drop-down lists will change depending on if you have them or not.
  • As you're planning out your potions, make sure you're not running out of ingredients by looking at the Ingredient 1 Remaining and Ingredient 2 Remaining columns, as well as the Remaining Quantity column (column D).  The cells in these columns will turn red if the values are negative (if you're using more of that ingredient than what's available).
  • To start over click the "Clear Inputs" button, underneath the Total Weight cell (macros must be enabled for this to work)
