    Dear Community

after 16 years of fun and challenges I have decided to go into retirement. Being a member and contributor of this great community has been a lot of fun. But with 69 years of age I'm afraid that I'm not able to provide those contributions any more that some of you might expect. Thank you so much to those many modders and users I have worked together with during this time in order to stem exciting challenges. And my apologies to those I might have overreacted to in times of frustration.

All my mods, and in particular FNIS, FNIS SE, and FNIS Sources, are passed over to "The Care Taker", and are fully owned now by "Nexus Mods". And I will not be active any more in any of the Nexus threads, including those I have hosted for years.

Although the timing might imply, this decision was made weeks ago, and has nothing to do with the disastrous situation the whole world is facing now. But it is a clean cut for the coming days, months, and maybe years where I want to take care only for my family and myself.

I wish you and your beloved ones all the best.

Nemesis user here... I've been wondering, a lot of older mods usually need this as a requirement. From what I've heard Nemesis has a FNIS dummy plug in. Wouldn't that theoretically fulfill  the requirement? Or do you still need this mod? I've also heard Pandora allows you to use FNIS required mods but don't know exactly if that eliminates the need for FNIS...

I don't use the newer Animation mods because FNIS works great and always has, and people that say to not use it probably have a bunch of other issues with their game. FNIS just works.

Very few mods actually check for FNIS to be installed. If they say you need FNIS it is probably because it was the ONLY option at the time the mod was made. You can always download a blank or dummy esp from Nexus, just search for it, and rename it to FNIS.esp.

I think both Pandora or OAR can replace FNIS.

Having moved my 1.5.97 to a new folder ("SteamLibrary") and registered FNIS for the new folder, I find it is for some reason still looking for files in the old, incorrect folder ("Fallout 4"), which no longer exists.

i need help, if anyone has experience with Vortex. I've installed the mod exactly based on how the video says it, however, every time i deploy mods, Vortex runs its purge links immediately after, & it removes GeneratFNISForUser.exe, making FNIS unable to run on launch

EDIT: i managed to get the mod to work by manually installing it outside of vortex, but ended up swapping over to Nemesis

Pandora is backwards compatible for both nemesis and FNIS.

Why are all the characters in the game invisible after installing fins7.6, but they can be seen after uninstalling? My game version is 1.6.1170.

No one in their sane mind should ever use this mod again, its old and outdated, just use Pandora you dont need this thing anymore.

this mod replaces both FNIS and Nemesis. just install the mod i linked above and ignore FNIS and Nemesis. if a mod says it requires either FNIS or Nemesis, Pandora can be used as well.

It's like OAR vs DAR, Wouldn't have Pandora without this.

I'm back to this mod after a couple years of using Nemesis and switching to Pandora. Unfortunately, many mods are still incompatible with Pandora and I'd rather add something as tiny as FNIS rather than the Nemesis engine.
Whoever thinks that Pandora is all they need is sorely mistaken. I'd recommend sticking with Nemesis for the time being.

If i've already installed the game, all of my mods, enb and etc. inside program file x86, is that mean i have to re-install all of them outside of the program file inorder to use FNIS?

Don't install to the C: drive and mod Skyrim, let alone any game really, it saves you a lot of headache.

could someone explain to me how to prevent people from being in T pose when they lose their balance ?

My question is; Why do people delving into Skyrim modding constantly call A-Posing a T-Pose, or something else inaccurate in the middle?

      quite simply because when this bug occurs, the pose looks like the letter T so for those who don't know the name it's much more logical to call it that  ;-;

basically, you're not being very logical, even though it seems obvious

I’m trying to install sexlabs, and before I had installed it I was getting no errors. But now, get an error on FNIS called ERROR 5 saying c:\program files (x86) steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools \GenerateFNIS_for_Users\BehavioredObjects txt' is denied. can anyone help solve this? Please
