I am playing through Wool for Wolves and the Damned Alalgamations that spawn on the way to the Fort simply won't die. I checked them xedit and they are set as invulnerable and essential. I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to progress here. Has anybody else come across this?
Never came across this issue before but the giant skeleton golems wont die. The ones in the wools for wolves quest and laid to rest quest that have the ability to push the player cannot die. I'm not sure what causes this, they don't take any damage at all. console killing them wont work either. legit the only enemy in the game who wont die by any means. no damage can be dealt to them. its like they're in god mode or something. I don't know if I overlooked something, last time I played this, I never had this issue at all.
EDIT: upon further research, they may have a ghost or invulnerable flag on them. Has anyone came across this? ALSO, after looking on forum posts, this is a wider issue that spans across other mods; people seem to conflate this issue with NPC protection. NOTE: this is not about that, do not reply with "setnpcessential 0" This is a totally different problem. After using This Mod to toggle invulnerability on the skeleton I've been unsuccessful in slaying it. Since the issue may go back to a quest script I'm going to use a save cleaner to clean up any orphan scripts and see if that will work.
Found a way to kill them, albeit through the use of another bug not from this mod. I think it should be noted though that Fenigs AI glitches during the quest, just use the moveto command and he'll reset.
I used Proteus to subtract their health to 0 then hit them with a weapon that seemed to hurt them for exactly 13 pts of damage. it was enchanted using wintersun. i think it was the black ice enchantment
I've played with this mod before in the past, and didn't remember having this huge of an issue with it, but it seems something strange happens when I finish the first part of A Wish for Wings. (Spoilers below for anyone who hasn't played the mod yet.)
No matter what I do, even if I let Dusk "die", Dusk will remain alive, and will continue to follow me, repeating her line "Noooo, what did you do to Garth" over and over, and attempting to bring her to the temple won't start the dialogue to have her stay there. (When the griffon is supposed to kill her, she will instead stretch out, but will still be alive.)
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do at this point; no matter how far I travel, she'll continue to follow me, even outside of Beyond Reach areas. At this point, I feel like I'd need to avoid the quest entirely, but I feel like that locks me out of the final quest in the end, so if anyone knows what I can do about this, it'd be much appreciated.
I'm having a problem with the quest "Wish for Wings" where after starting it and getting the prompt to talk to Garth, both Garth and Dusk disappear, and the quest marker is just floating in the air. They appeared once and then disappeared again after I tried to talk to Garth mid-conversation, anyone have any fixes?
Playing this for the first time and have encountered this too.
Dusk approached me in Evermore and initiated the quest but I was too busy with other things and didn’t speak to Garth right then and there.
After leaving Evermore and doing some things, their marker is now in The Divide. When I go there they’re standing there but they’ll either vanish before I can talk to Garth or they’ll vanish mid-conversation.
I’ve tried skipping through the conversation to activate the next objective but have not triggered it yet before they vanish.
Walking away for a bit helps cause they to reappear for another try but I can’t get it.
I’ll try returning to Evermore and see if they magically appear where I initially encountered them and if it works then, otherwise I have no idea how to get around this without console commands (and don’t know what the appropriate command would be).
Hi, Does anyone have any work arounds for this. Can't seem to progress this quest. I've tried console commands to get them to teleport to me, but that does not seem to work.
No matter what I've tried, in game, in console, etc, the Orc's speech in Evermore will not start after the quest Dreams of Peace. He just stands there. I can't progress the main questline because of this :( Anyone know a fix? Seems like I'm pretty much the only one who's had this issue, I checked nearly all the comments on this page and the main mod forum.
Can this mod be played with an Orc player character? Or is it recommended to just play as a different race if someone wants to play this mod and get the most value out of it?
Iirc you'll immediately fail the main quest due to being orc, and supposed to have a different path due to the conflict regarding orc stuff in Beyond Reach.
I'm having a problem with Forever Evermore that I didn't have the last time I played through. I can't talk to the rogue guard. I talked my way into the little settlement with no problem and no one attacks me until I get close to the guard. He goes hostile, the quest log updates to kill him, but if I sheath my weapons he will go back to passive only I can't talk to him and the quest log still wants me to kill him. I even tried this with AI detection off and even when he couldn't detect me he went hostile, like he has an area around him that if trespassed upon he will attack.
