With the release of Thaumaturgy today, it's worth noting that Simon's enchanting overhaul includes its own waterwalking enchantment. I'll personally be switching over, as I consider it to cover all the bases for what I want out of a waterwalking enchantment, namely levelled list integration. If you're also using Simon's overhaul mods, I would encourage you to use Thaumaturgy for your waterwalking enchantment in place of this mod, unless you're really attached to having the effect on jewellery.
Some people, like me, enjoy playing without console commands though, for the sake of immersion. I had a mod installed that edits the controlmap file to unbind the ~ button, so a waterwalking mod would be useful (and I usually keep the Ahzidal set in my Heartfire home so no vanilla waterwalking boot)
First, thank you. I used a different mod previously, but it only functioned for the PC. This one also lets followers waterwalk, which is brilliant, and the entire reason I switched.
Second, while I will continue to use this, I do miss how I had an active effect symbol (I believe it was a shoe over waves/water) with the previous mod, which was nice as a reminder that yes, I didn't accidentally hit the hotkey I have assigned to the item in question and subsequently nearly froze to death by running full tilt into the Sea of Ghosts. I poked around both in the mod I originally used and this one and couldn't figure out how or why that displays for that one, but not this one. Thoughts? (I can't remember if Ahzidal's boots shows that symbol.)
SkyUI seems to show an active effects HUD icon for any effect with less than a configurable duration remaining - by default, this is for anything with three minutes left or less. So while a potion of waterwalking will bring up an icon, a permanent effect like this mod's enchantment or that of Ahzidal's boots won't.
