TAKE A NOTE that there are two versions of this patch: one has master dependancy on the Fozar's Requiem Dragonborn Patch (see the requierments), while other - has just rebalanced stats and lists from it, so - no dependancy. Of course it'll be better if you install full version (the one that needs master file), because it has some important records in it, that can't be present otherwise, but I posted both versions because hey, it's always nice to have a choice.

30.12.2021. WHAT WAS ONCE FORETOLD - IS FINALLY TRUE. REQUIEM 5.0.0 IS FINALLY HERE ON SPECIAL EDITION. I STARTED THE WORK ON VER.3.0 OF THIS MOD FOR REQUIEM 5.0.0. FOR SSE.

Requiem Patch for
 V30 Armor Extended NOTES

What's up with those books and lines added into armors description boxes?

Both things are related to special Requiem mechanic - Armor Penetration System (APS). APS manifests itself through additional set of attributes called Armor Resistances, which actually have an influence on gameplay equal to common armor ratings numbers. You can read more about it in Official Requiem Manual (which comes with Requiem installation package).

First of all I think It’d be safe to say that 100% of all V30 Armors was rebalanced (now they perform as clusters defined both by Armor Rating and Armor Resistance, as they should). Actually the process of assigning appropriate set of Resistances to each armor - is Reqtificator's job, so it's kinda automatic, hence my job was to reasonably change material keyword for 40% of V30 Armors.

Second, there are two newly added types of Armor: Light Mail and Heavy Mail. They are authentic to this patch, and have unique sets of keywords that determine their Armor Resistances. They occupy niches between Leather and Scale (Light Mail) and Steel and Steel Plate (Heavy Mail).

Third, about those lines: that's how I managed to solve the problem with not knowing which armor related to which type. Now you can see this info in the Armor Description.

So, now about books. There was no in-game way to know which armor type has what APS ratings. So that’s why I made two books: “Assize of Light Arms” and “Assize of Heavy Arms”. You can look up Armor Resistances (for all types of armors, including added by this patch) in those books in which I tried to be more or less lore-friendly, but not waste your time. Books are buyable at any general store or blacksmith in all cities and almost all towns.

Same was done for V30 Weapon Replacer: in the special book named "Armament Discourse" you can read all the info about how each type of weapon is related to APS, which advantages it has, and also what features were added by this patch (there are not many, don't worry, but still).

Requiem Patch for V30 Weapon Replacer NOTES

What's that optional .esp package, what it contains, and why it may be needed?

The problem from my point of view was that original mods are bound to overwrite each other's vendor lists. It resulted in such fact, that after adding V30 Armors Imperial Patch you may notice that several shops started sell only "imperial-related" items; after adding V30 Weapon Replacer bunch of blacksmiths stopped selling imperial and general armor and start selling only wepaons. I solved this problem through simply adding master dependancy to V30 Weapon Replacer Requiem Patch and transfering items from another mods to vendor lists of the patch. Also don't forget Fozar's Requiem Dragonborn Patch, that supposed to make an appearance anyway. So the main file contains ALL of the dependacies. But the package that you can find in the optional section of downloads may suggest to you several variations, namely

1) "V30 Weapons Requiem Patch --" contains file that has non of the dependacies
2) "V30 Weapons Requiem Patch DB" contains file that has only dependacy on Fozar's Requiem Dragonborn Patch
3) 'V30 Weapons Requiem Patch V30AE" contains file that has only dependacy on V30 Armors Extended
4) "V30 Weapons Requiem Patch DB V30AE" contains file that has dependacies on Fozar's Requiem Dragonborn Patch and V30 Armors Extended
5) "V30 Weapons Requiem Patch V30 AE V30 IP" contains file that has dependacies on V30 Armors Extended and V30 Imperial Patch.

There could be flaws and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you to report on this modpage about any things of such sort  :)
I'm not exactly a master at patching, and I'd gladly improve my work (since I'm an active user of both mods I have my interest as a gamer as well :))

If you got scared a bit - don't be. It definately will not break your game by any chance, on the opposite: these patches with 100% effectiveness make it so  Vaultman30's Armors and Weapon Replacer won't break Requiem's economy and balance (without a patch, believe me there will be problems with that). There just may be  some loose ends, due to my imperfect knowledge of Requiem specifics and certain aspects. So, again, feel free to report about them.

How to instal
l

1. Download, open and install with any mod manager (I use MO2 because it's a god's gift)

2.
Put it BELOW Requiem in your load order

(TAKE IN CONSIDERATION THAT .ESP FROM REQUIEM PATCH WILL AND SHOULD OVERWRIGHT V30MergedReplacer.esp, PROVIDED BY ORIGINAL MOD; SAME FOR IMPERIAL PATCH)

3. Run Requiem patcher, generate Requiem for Indifferent.esp

(Levelled lists and keywords should be okay after this process, but if they are not, and you know something about levelled lists and Requiem that I dont - you, again, definately should post your valuable knowledge here)

4. Have fun my friend

Account222 and lilmoefow
for previously used Requiem Dragonborn Patch SSE

Credit for assets used in the process of making new Requiem sets goes to Vaultman 30, Witcher5688, ArchdukeofLandsee and NordwarUA. You should definately check their amazing work.

In the decorations of some of the newly added armor sets actually were used some historical recreations of real ancient nordic ornaments. These visual treats were taken from an amazing work of Jonas Lau Markussen. If you look closely at the linked page, you'll see, that this amazing artist was kind enough to let anyone use his work for non-profit purposes (I don't recieve any donations for this and definately don't sell any of these works). So credit definately goes to him also.
