What if you could... immersively simply "buy" that ingot instead? Well welcome to this script free lil batch bundle. It does not get more simple than this.
I have used this method ingame for a while, player.additem "Whatever" and then doing some .additem f -*higher Value*. Thought I might share it with yall.

Adds a batch file for all VANILLA
Crafting materials
Gems  Wip   Will do more whenever I get the time and want to (Probably never)

Install by dropping the .txt files into your SKYRIM FOLDER and NOT your data folder.

Ingame open the console
Write "Bat X" - X replaced with whatever item you want with no spaces.
Example "Bat ironingot" will give you one iron ingot and remove coins equal to the base value x3 (21 for iron ingot)
All bat files are the exact name copied from here but with the spaces removed. So snow bear pelt will be "bat snowbearpelt" and refined malachite will be "bat refinedmalachite"
There is also a cheat version and a TME version.. or rather there is the good version and the vanilla one, because if you don't have "True Medieval Economy" by DanielUA then what are you even doing? Hello?
The TME versions have prices varying around 3x base value to 5x base value.
All values were taken from Here.
Dragonborn DLC NEED to be at loadorder 4 for the Dragonborn items to work.

-The TME version does not require the mod itself, it just has the prices adjusted according to DanielUAs script.

There is also a Fee version for the even more immersion hungry people, having you pay a fee for each deal.
The Fees are 20 gold for vanilla and 150 gold for the TME version.

This means whatever you "console buy" will always have an extra cost of 20/150 gold no matter what it is.
And a cheater version but we don't talk about that one

What if I can't afford the items?

This forces the game to take x amount of gold from your inventory meaning
you'll be in debt if you "buy" things you can't afford.

You call this immersion friendly?!!?! YOU'RE CHEATING!!!!
Well.. no? Yes? Idk depends on how you look at it. Rather than just cheating it then yes. Could think of it like fenced items. You can fence stuff at regular merchants... are you really the only one who does that? Are you sure? Who knows. Only Bethesda can decide if no one else in all of Skyrim uses the regular merchants/blacksmiths as fences.
But this gives you the option of buying whatever you're missing. Let's be honest you do this at Adrianne's forge 99% of the time anyway.
Whatever you buy using the batch files will always be more expensive than what you find at merchants, especially if you use the "fee version" like me. More fun that way.
Won't be the nr 1 place you get iron-ingots anyway with this mod installed. Much cheaper buying it from merchants/finding it in the wild. The TME 15x increase on dragon bones put them at 20k+ with the 3x value. Not really "worth" it, but you have the option.
When immersion comes into play, isn't this really more immersive than vanilla? Think about it. You're smithing at a blacksmith that sells wares and you need some more steel to get that good stabby part at the end of a spear. Do you "well imma pack up and travel across Skyrim to 4 cities and see if anyone has any steel" or do you ask around if they have any spare *anywhere at all* so you don't have to do the miles upon miles of hiking? If you don't think of it as "well Adrianne sold me some counterfeit steel when I used the batch command" perhaps "she took one of the items from the store, melt it down, and sold it to me for a higher than the standard price for the extra effort. Perhaps Adrianne has some steel for a planned armor that she doesn't want to sell? How do you know? Wait... How do I know? :O I'm a fraud!

In the end, it comes down to this;
With mod: Spent 300 gold on an item "immersively", carry on with your day.
Without mod: Travel around Skyrim, spend another 10 minutes in-game just to go back to the same forge again to craft the item, Spent 200 gold.
I know what I choose.

Can you add X?
Yes. But I probably won't unless I have it planned already. Do it yourself!

Can you add X from X mod?
No. I don't know your load order.

Prices are too high/low for me!
Ok? Adjust them however you see fit. I'm happy with these settings.

"Can I use your..."
Yes. No credit needed. Its a batch file meaning anyone can do it. I'm just bored enough to do it and post it for yall. I have a mod where an item required freaking snow fox fur to craft the item. Like really? Not only is it boring as hell walking around in the snow in hopes of finding one of those lil' c*nts but I noticed almost NO FREAKING STORE SELLS THESE. So I spent a few hours cobbling this together out of pure hatred, madness, and anger.
I have a problem.

Can you *Insert anything about TME here*
No. I have not modified that mod at all and it's technically not connected to that at all, it just adjusts the prices to suit users where prices of crafting materials are increased by 5x aka TME. No scripts connect to it and nothing touches the mod itself. Nothing. I simply made this for myself since I use TME and since that mod is amazing, and you should too, and if you're not, shame on you.

Hmmm
I am fully aware that this is technically 0% immersive and 100% cheating. So if you're going 100% legit then this might not be for you. But if you're like me, and want to keep it "legit" but don't want to go full hardcore for the 14th time and find yourself adding an iron ingot here and there just to keep the flow going and not abort the entire smithing mission then this might be for you.

Last thoughts in fancy pink and blue with a fun font xDXDXDXDDDD my dude!
I simply made this mod to stop myself from cheating in serious playthroughs, I also don't want to repeat the little story at the top^ that has happened to me quite a lot. I only use the batch files when near merchants/blacksmiths at their forge aka bae Adrianne. So I think of the items as fenced items and I pay an extra fee to have em handle the goods. Punishes my coin purse but lets me complete the set with that final leatherstraps piece instead o going to another city. Some items in the TME versions have had their prices increased, such as horsehide and cowhide, dragonbone, and so on, to add a little more "immersion".

end my suffering, please
