    Can you make an animation for the Gunslicer crossbow? PLS

      Is there any way to block the reload animation (crossbow_reload) while still achieving the reload effect? I tried renaming (crossbow_reload) to an empty file and running the game, but the crossbow reload has some issues.

      I've no idea it's been a long time since I've messed with all this stuff, however iirc simply replacing anims or behaviors with empty files is a bad idea and generally leads to weird bugs since things behind the scenes fail to trigger, for something like this you'll probably need to edit the anim file and delete actual animation part while leaving basic things like start and end keyframes intact

      Thank you, but I'm an idiot. I tried modifying the animation, but the software for modifying animations is very complicated.  :(

    anyone else got the crossbow trigger phasing through itself to end up above the crossbow during the reload or its it a requiem thing?

    Speaking of the latter Requiem updated to 6.0 so patches are obsolete here

      You better post a video of it to better understand what you're talking about, patches also may still work if crossbow related stuff wasn't changed much
      Anyway I kinda lost interest in modern Requiem after ogerboss left the team and remaining people started to make some questionable choices

    The stamina is not very compatible with Lorefriendly Guns, or probably any other firearm mod that reskins a crossbow to use as firearm. You can use them together, but costing stamina to reload a firearm does not make a lot of sense.

    It used to work fine, but now it causes my crossbow to reload infinitely... :(

      Try uninstalling, creating a clean save and installing it again

      Btw it's most likely not the problem with the mod but with game's scripting engine which sometimes bugs out and fail to report animation events to scripts, somehow tied with race switching even if it goes behind the scenes like with vampire race, if I ever get to update this mod I may add a separate button to MCM to try to fix it manually but at least without reinstalling

    It's probably some mod conflict, but i get this weird situation where if i do not use the mcm to initialize it, the game will crash.
    Meaning, if i equip the crossbow and let it auto initialize, the game crashes. Anyone else have this problem? The game runs fine after that if i use the mcm to do the first initialization. 

    Game Version 1170 btw.

    Incompatible with DAR- Rifle Animations, Muskets reverts back to vanilla reload.

      Fixed by copying the crossbow_release and renaming to crossbow_realod. In the DAR folder

      Sorry please tell me how to do this, in a more in depth way.  Ican't figure it out with that short of a description but im super excited to see if I can get this to work!

      In the DAR Folder for the Musket Animations:

      1- Make a copy of crossbow_release.hkx and crossbow_releasedwarven.hkx.
      2- Then with those copies, rename then to crossbow_reload.hkx and crossbow_reloaddwarven.hkx (Do NOT delete the crossbow_release.hkx and crossbow_releasedwarven.hkx)
      3- Try then in your game to see if it works.

    Having an issue and not sure if it's this mod or not. I intend to disable this and test within the next day or two but figured I'd poll here first just in case.

    My crossbows never consume bolts. Ever.

    It's driving me insane. Anyone else having this issue?

    This mod can be made esl and it works great, since there are no links to specific formid addresses in the scripts.

    Very good mod... only one thing is missing, now, relating to crossbows IMO... they should be louder and not a viable alternative for marksman builds...

      It's Requiem's version, patch for 4.x should work with 5.x Requiem but I haven't checked it with the latest, only with 5.0.3 as I don't like changes past it and there was a report that it shows some error in xEdit with more recent 5.x Requiem version, I suspected that maybe the guy used 3.x patch but sadly he stopped answering

      ah ok thanks i am dumb then, im a fairly new adopter :V

      im not using crossbows currently, but ill have a look at it with 5x some point if i get the time
