Seeing the discouraging comments, I made my own version (1.5.97) in SE's creation kit. Form44, yoooo! Including a weight reduction for firewood where I sunk way too much time into the calculation. Check it out. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/87003/

Sadly this mod has the old Form version and would have to be loaded and saved in CK which I don't know how to use. I would appreciate an update with the new form version since I've heard many times that the old one can cause issues.

I know this old but I'll answer anyway.
      It's really simple.
      1. download the Bethesda.net launcher
      2. find the creation kit for skyrim under the games tab
      3. download the creation kit ( I put it in my skyrim folder)
      4. Run the creation kit, you will see a folder icon on the bar on the left side, click it and scroll through to find the mod you want.
      5. click on the mod you want and set it as the active file
      6. click ok and wait for the loading while hitting yes to all for the errors that are bound to pop up
      7. clear away the errors ( I dont know how to fix them I just hit the clear button)
      8. Now click on File, and save it.
      9. you're done, open the mod with ssedit if you want to double check but thats all their is too it.

Thanks for reporting this. MO2 notified me that this .esp is in form 43. Converting it now in the CK.

@Rodderick90 I know this is older post and all but this is FIRST time i've found someone actually explain this to anyone and put it simple enough how to actually do it and not be a complete A**hole about it too. Thank You

Thanks so much for this. Its utterly retarded that both of those items weigh 10 each in Vanilla. 3 is much more realistic and you are saving 14 right off the bat if you have both. Endorsed.

When I try to add this to a Wrye Bash patch it spits an error (something about expected 24 bytes found 16?) and the effect of the mod is lost. I had to remove the mod from the patch and load it separately to get the effect to work. That said, the mod does work on it's own and is a nice addition.

    Thanks

I had the same issue. Couldn't see the mod on in my load order (LOOT), which I think was due to me being blind. So to be sure I reinstalled it, ran LOOT again ("no changes needed" ) and now it works again.

There was a bugfix in 1.2 that relates to mod order and crashes, maybe that affected it in some way.

Edit: I also updated the Unofficial Patch, but I kinda doubt this has to do with it.

Thanks so much for this! I just had to ditch my axe last night since I didn't want to drop a shield that was worth 350 gp.
