    BOOM! Version 3.00 is UP!

Main purpose of this update is to complete all necessary functions of Realistic Fireplaces and to make the installation fully customizable.

All details you need to know are included in the installer so make sure you read them! (Cut the wrong wire for fun maybe? :] )

!!! Also don't forget to make fun of people who are gonna say something like: "The installer doesn't work! No options came up and it installed nothing..." :) !!!

And as always, let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement or if you find any errors!

    ----Version 3.00---

-Every single function of the mod has been made optional!
-'ESP Version' and 'ESP Free Version' options.
-Two installation options for EmbersHD patch.
    a)Trust my taste.
    b)Embers under all fires.
-Complex Particle Lights for ENB implemented. (Only in ESP Version!)
    With four intensity options.
    -Collision materials fixed.
-Some improvements on the main diffuse texture and the UV map.
-The plugin is also an ultimate patch for any other mod!

    Plans for the next update:

1-New ENB Complex Particle Lights as the previous one had some issues. (Thank you 4109 for the information you provided.)
2-The plugin will be edited since some users reported a Wrye Bash error.
3-Also gonna research and see what I can do about making the plugin an ESL as some users requested.

I don't share this kind of humour.
Yes, reading is part of modding but giving clear and to the point information without all the bla is pretty sexy too.
This installer is too much bla with no actual information other that the mod author is a troll who seemingly like to feel superior and play nonsense. At least this is how I interpret this, It seems most people will disagree and that is fine. I just prefer to play games when the modding is done and over with.

It's totally acceptable in cases like this. You should be reading mod descriptions and instructions, not authors babling

indeed... if you read, you knew I did read, and found nothing extraordinarily informative but a silly game played by the mod author in the installer.
Good mod tho, its a staple in my load order.

These are beautiful and I look forward to a patch where they're a little smaller and a little better fit in the fireplace so the orange puddle doesn't show. I run Lux and Embers XD as well, of course, with KD loading last so it overwrites. I found that 0.7 to 0.8 of the current scale for both the burning and off logs, plus shifting the logs positions down by 6-8 points, solved most of the visual problems users have commented on.

Nifskope can solve the size issue. Has anyone found a fix for the positioning issue besides hand-tuning everything in xEdit?

    Examples (pre-fixing):

Double stacked and floating in Filnjar's House, from The Great Village of Shor's Stone

Puffed up into and leaking out underneath of the stone of the basement firepit in JK's Candlehearth Hall

Extending out of the cooking pit in JK's Warmaiden's

Emerging from the wall and suspended above the base of the fireplace in Snazzy Snow-Shod Manor

I noticed the same issue shown in your first screenshot.  I use XD Embers as well.  There is a patch out for it.  Here is the link to the mod.  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42174

yeah there definitely needs to be a smaller nif version. even in the exteriors these are unrealistic for most areas. i used to camp a lot, and these're huuuge in camps. they often clip into the cooking spits. great model tho. it's probably just a simple downscale in nifskope

I am getting this issue as well. Re-installed it with no success. What's weird is that it was working fine before. Fixing the load order did not fix it for me as it did for Katkati. Anyone else having this issue and has an alternative solution?

I didn't even install it, the installer is incomprehensible. What kind of wires to choose there, immediately abandoned the fashion and threw it into the basket

You could read, and figure it out.
That is what the author had in mind... Read, so you would know what to do, and not come back complaining.

Or just be clear in what people get to install in their game. Not here to play games while installing mods, would be great!

Someone decided to make options a bit more entertaining than just "Click X to use Y". It's really not hard, if you don't want to read whatever the mod author decides is necessary information anyway, good luck modding.

I get where you both are coming from. It's a supremely annoying way to do a mod installer, but it's the author's prerogative, and people rarely read what they should. Tough call.

It's there to make sure you actually read the installer; if you ACTUALLY READ, it tells you exactly what ones to press. It's literally there to make sure people don't do what you tried to do; blindly install it.

That's what you get for being a dumbass who doesn't bother reading what you install and then cries on Nexus that the mod doesn't work, and it's totally not your fault, ugu.

I honestly thought it was clever. Like, it was not even that complicated. That's the funny part about it, if somebody couldn't get past cutting the wires then they failed at the simple step to just take a minute to read. Author's got a sense of humor if you ask me.

I saw you were looking into converting this into an ESL version. I think I've had some success doing that. The steps I took were to:

    1. Load up the ESP into x-edit.
    2. Compact the formids for ESL (right click on the esp name after done loading)
    3. Edit the file header to have the ESL flag

This turns it into an ESP-FE, which preserves load order, but also doesn't take up an ESP slot. If you want, I can email you the file I created for testing purposes as well, but the steps I just outlined should reproduce it exactly.

According to Arthmoor nobody should compact FormIDs after a mod has been released. Ever.

Arthmoor is wrong. He gets mad because sometimes people who don;t know what they're doing do things like ESLify mods or lose track of their loose files then go and blame him for things that go wrong. You can eslify anything small enough so long as you're not trying to use any thing that depends on the non ESL version and there are no other mods that change any cells added by the thing you just eslified.

I appreciate the hard work of this mod, ..... but is there a way to shrink the logs size?  The logs are about 25% bigger then they need to be, may of the logs in the fireplaces clip through the cooking pots.

You can reduce the scale of each in nifskope:

Open each mesh from this mod. Click on the logs so they are highlighted,

Look for the scale value at the bottom left of screen and reduce it. Not too much. About 0.8 or so is good. Rinse and repeat for each mesh and save each.

So if we use Embers XD, do we need to select the Embers HD patch or no? I'm under the impression that XD is a new and improved version of HD, but I don't know if this compatibility patch will work with it.

I would imagine the HD Patch would work, it does for other patches I've used! I believe the mod author of Embers has the XD .esp use the same name as the HD .esp so that patches wouldn't need to be recreated.
