About this mod

This mod makes your character completely unique from any other NPC in the game. Only your character will use this body and face/head textures and meshes.

Permissions and credits
FUNCTION:
This mod allows your player character to have a completely custom character. It is a total overhaul of my previous unique player mod here on Nexus.

**The reason I am listing it as a separate mod instead of just making it an updated version of that mod is that this is a total overhaul from that version.

I haven't looked at the mechanics of it but this mod functions on the same idea as d_rail1602's mod for Oldrim. I don't know if his/her mod works the same way as mine but does basically the same thing.

I have created a custom version of all 10 vanilla races, both male and female, and their vampire counterparts. You will still be called an Argonian, Breton, etc however your race id will be Bretonraceplayer instead of Bretonrace, etc. If you become a vampire instead of being Bretonracevampire, you will be Bretonracevampireplayer.

You will have your own unique body AND face. To illustrate this, the way I tested to make sure this was working correctly was by using a different body type than other characters, Unique Player on the player's forehead, and a tattoo mod that replaces the body texture instead of working as an overlay you would add like makeup or warpaint in the race menu.

TL;DR:
You can have your own unique face and body textures and meshes. Everything else works exactly the same and you are still flagged as one of the vanilla races, i.e. Breton, Nord, etc, it is just your raceid that has changed (from bretonrace to bretonraceplayer)

When you go into the show race menu, either at character creation or through the console, only these unique races will show up. For this to work correctly, this mod needs to be at the BOTTOM/END/LOADED LAST in your load order. If you don't load it at the end of your load order it will still work, however there will be a duplicate entry for every race, e.g. Breton will be listed twice, Nord twice, etc.

Since this is exclusive to Skyrim Special edition meaning you have all the DLC's (it does use assets from the Update, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn ESMs) the ONLY mod requirement is the RaceCompatibility mod. Both the Racecompatibility.esm from the main mod and the Racecompatibility.esm that you can use from Enhanced Character Edit will work. If you choose to ignore this and not install the RaceCompatibility.esm, it won't crash to desktop or anything but if you decide you want to play as a vampire it will not work because there will not be a race for you to change into, meaning you will remain the same race as before you were a vampire.

INSTRUCTIONS

A) INSTALL:

1) This is really easy to install, just use your mod manager or if you want to do it manually that shouldn't be a problem either as long as you know what you're doing.

2)
Put the meshes and textures into the correct folder. For meshes, regardless of race, you will put the meshes for head, body, feet, and hands into the Male Player, or Female Player folder, depending on gender obviously. For textures, if you are playing as a man/mer race, textures for your hands, body, and face will go into the Male Player or Female Player folder. Argonians will go into Male Player Argonian or Female Player Argonian, and Khajiits will go into Male Player Khajiit or Female Player Khajiit.

3)This IS SAFE TO INSTALL MID-GAME. All you have to do to get it to work on your current player character is go into the console, and if you were "bretonrace" before, you will enter this into the console: setrace bretonraceplayer, and POOF, you're now the unique player version. If you were a nord vampire, you would enter into the console: setrace nordracevampireplayer, etc. Assuming you put this at the end of your load order per the instructions, if starting a new character, you won't notice any difference from normal, all the player races have the same names, appearances, attributes, etc they just use meshes and textures from different folders than vanilla.

4) I have included bodyslide SliderSets for you to build your custom body for CBBE, UUNP, and Touched by Dibella (TBD) Just navigate to the CBBE Player, UnifiedUNP Player, TBDPhysics Player, or TouchedByDibella Player from the outfit/body drop down menu and use your normal presets and everything and when you hit build, it will go to your Female Body mesh folder instead of the character assets folder like normal. Just a reminder, when you build your body, you also need to build your hands and feet also in order to avoid having weird gaps around your wrists and ankles. That has nothing to do with this mod, just letting you know in case you didn't know that.

B) COMPATIBILITY:

**Any mod that changes the vanilla races in some way will need a patch. It won't conflict with this mod but it won't recognize you as belonging to the race you are playing as. For example racial bodymorphs, imperious, or LAL. Just let me know and I will get in touch with the mod author for permission to make the patch. It won't be a big hassle so just ask, I don't mind making one for you. That said, I have used this in a load order with 306 mods with plugins, (222 plugins after merging) and 484 active mods total. I haven't had any issues with it at all. It for sure works with Better Vampires just make sure that the playerquestvampirescript.pex from racecompatibility is script in your script folder, or, if using MO2 or any mod manager that uses a virtual folder, that the racecompatibility version of that script wins the conflict.

**Remember to load this LAST/LOWEST/AT THE END of your load order! It probably won't break the game if you ignore me but it will FOR SURE give you duplicates of each race in the character creation/race menu.

**When (as there often is) a conflict, where the mod author tells you to manually place the plugin and where LOOT moves the plugin, go with where the mod author told you to put it, not LOOT. e.g. LOOT likes to move XPMSE to a high location in the load order where it is getting overwritten by other mods (which Groovetama specifically says not to do at the very beginning of his description)

If you find a conflict with anything, please let me know!

B) PATCHES:

Since this is technically a custom race, in order to get mods that make changes to races, e.g. Ethereal Elves, Racial Body Morphs, or even SOS, it will need a patch. Just let me know what you want a patch for and i'll be happy to make it and post it on here. That said, do remember to be patient as I will have to get the permission of the mod author who made the mod you are wanting a patch for. Once I get that permission though I'll put the patch in the patches section right away.

CONCLUSION:

Well, I think that about covers it, let me know in the comments section if you run into any problems, notice anything I may have missed, or anything I should add to this description and I will take care of it.

** One thing of note to add to answer some questions others have had in the past, no, it is not practical to have separate/custom body shapes for your clothing and armor that are different from everyone else. A) That would take up a huge amount of space in your meshes folder. B) It would only work on vanilla clothing with each individual mod clothing/armor needing prior permission before being added. Anc C) It would create doubles of every outfit in game, e.g. there would be "ebony armor" and "ebony armor player" that existed in the game. It would make things very confusing and complicated.

I sincerely have no interest in making any profit off of modding but to anyone that enjoys my mods and have an extra dollar or two to spend to help out, or, a little more if you'd like some specific mods made, check out my patreon page!
