I get a ctd if I use seeker drain too often.

  Been testing this tonight and I haven't gotten any crash. Slaughtered two whole cities and a couple bandits camps with Seeker Drain alone; nothing wrong on my end. Can you give me some more info?

  Correct. Both spells will level up your Destruction skill and benefit from Destruction perks.
