The new file is a completely new esl-flagged plugin re-built from scratch. If you already have the mod installed, please UNINSTALL it prior to downloading the new version!

It should be completely safe to remove and upgrade mid-game; you will lose any existing copies of the necklace and have to craft new ones, that's all. Given that the only time this mod interfaces with the marriage quest is one line of dialogue mid-interaction, you should be fine to remove/update at any time. No "clean save" required.

This isn't the place to debate whether or not queer people deserve to be in Skyrim. I'm incredibly disinterested in hearing why myself and my friends are lore-breaking or less than human simply on the basis of our daring to exist and I'm going to stop trying to argue the point with those who disagree. If you don't want queer people in your Skyrim playthrough, don't add them! Ta da! Heteronormativity is the default vanilla state of the game so you're good to go.

This mod is for the rest of us, who do want to enjoy a more immersive and realistic experience of the spectrum of human diversity alongside our dragons. If that doesn't interest you, okay! Don't download this mod, problem solved. You don't need to come tell me about how disinterested you are, I promise I don't care. (Do you make a regular habit of going to mods that don't interest you and commenting about how you have no interest in them? Because if so that's both weird and sad and you should probably find a less depressing hobby.) Neither you nor your status as a heterosexual is being threatened by the existence of this mod, honest. Just let it go and find a mod that does interest you instead. Easy!

The rest of us just came here to have a good time and it's honestly exhausting having to defend our existence to a bunch of strangers on the internet instead. All I wanted to do was fight some dragons and give my characters a pretty necklace to help them flirt with other girls. Can we just do that without having to fight for every inch all the time, please? Honestly you might as well keep your complaints to yourself and move on because from now on I'm just going to be removing all irrelevant comments and possibly blocking and/or reporting the posters depending on how much the community guidelines are breached.

Nexus Commenting Guidelines: "We do not tolerate 'trolling' or harassment of any kind. Do not belittle, discredit, or aggressively criticise another member or their content. If you do not like something or have nothing constructive to add, it's best to simply move along."

Thank you so much for this and your list of other queer mods. It is awesome to feel included and you forever have my heartfelt endorsement. I really rarely comment on anything these days so... I just wanted you to know how much this means to me and all the queer folk living our virtual fantasy lives in skyrim.

Is there a patch for LotD anywhere to add this to the museum? Ideally with the blueflower one too, but as a lesbian I didn't actually get it so I don't mind if the patches are split or anything.

No, I've never played with LotD, sorry. If you would like to make a patch and upload it yourself, or send it to me to host here, that would be lovely though as I'm sure there are some folks who would find that very enjoyable.

I love this so much. Thank you! The fact that you've gotten hate on this is just disgusting. Sure, the game does allow marriage, but vanilla Skyrim doesn't represent a whole lot of queerness. An item saying, "hey, we see you--you exist" means a whole lot. I'm beating a dead horse here, but all the same: I love this, and appreciate these queering Skyrim mods. <3

Thank you! That's a dead horse that you can never beat too much, in my opinion; we have to just to counter all the assholes who'd rather we didn't. So thank you. I appreciate comments like this so much, every time.

My androgyne Half-Dragon PC thanks you immensely that you didn't end up making it female only. Because sometimes gender/sex gets really complicated. I am male to androgyne (half male (top), half female (bottom)) transgender IRL, and most people can't seem to understand why/how I'm not M->F transgender. They act like I'm an outcast, even within the context of the transgender community. There's such a stigma around all of it that I feel uncomfortable being myself a lot of the time. "Eww, that's a guy in a dress!" Or "What are those?!", in reference to my favorite pair of wedge sandals. I am thankful for a lot of your mods. Especially the agender outfits mods. I can wear nice clothes and not have to worry about being judged by everyone.

That being said, I don't know how theoretically appropriate it would be within your own lore for an agender character to be wearing your amulet.

I think it's entirely appropriate. As you said, gender is complicated and weird and fluid. People shouldn't try and shove other folks into tiny stupid boxes of "the right" way to be x, y, z, or anything in between. The only labels that matter--the only labels that are real--are the ones we choose for ourselves, the ones that sing to us. Everything else is meaningless.

So yeah, you're very welcome and you don't need to worry: I'll never gender-lock any of my mods (especially for a game that only gives two options in character creation! absurd!) because the only thing that matters is how you think your character identifies and if that identity falls within the broad and complex spectrum of genders that this necklace includes and represents. If they feel like lavender fits them, then it fits.

The world sucks, but that's no reason for us to make it worse for each other. I'd rather make it better in any way I can.

I was thinking about your mods today and realized I never left a comment here so I want to correct that!

I love all of your mods so so much, but this was the first one I saw and I just want you to know how much it meant to me. When I first saw this necklace and then clicked through the other mods linked, I started full on crying. I love Skyrim and I mod it all the time, but honestly it can get really disheartening with how exclusive a lot of the modding scene is. So seeing this was just so affirming and sweet and wonderful and it absolutely made my week.

I really love what you're doing with your mods, and it's really inspiring to me. I downloaded your wandering librarians as well and every time I randomly find them and see these necklaces on them I start to tear up again. It just really adds something to the experience of playing this game that I love so much. I'm about to start a new playthrough and I'm giving my new character your Trans Children of Azura necklace, and I'm very excited about that!

I also can't thank you enough for linking all the other wonderful mods from other mod authors. Seeing all of those was just like a barrage of love and it was wonderful.

I know this got really rambling, but basically, I love your mods and I appreciate every single one of them. Thank you so much for everything you've made. <3

Oh my goodness thank you so much. Now I'm the one crying! (That's not a complaint btw.) I am so, so, so, so glad that I could share those mods with you. You are so welcome, and thank you. This was the kindest most wonderful thing you could possibly have told me. It wasn't rambling at all, it was perfect. Thank you.
