Finally found a mod that solves this problem - was a hard search! Thanks, Patches!

If you love this mod but think the horned deer skulls are awkward pointing to the sky you can delete the deerskullhornedstatic records from this mod with SSEEdit. Use the filter for placed objects then expand cell and world with alt-click. It's a nice option if you want. Sorry I did not include a complete tutorial. Don't forget to endorse and don't forget to walk around those pointy deer skulls if you do the change.

Thanks for this! I downloaded it after I walked over a leg bone or some s*** in Bleak Falls Barrow and instantly died. From full HP! WTF Bethesda? When I loaded back into the game with mod the bone had disappeared, and my death was averted. Beautiful!

Thank you for this. I always hated walking or running in a cave ( Like Helgen caves) and all of a sudden I grunt and take damage from kicking a leg bone. REALLY, I am Dragonborn, slayer of dragons and devour their souls but tripping on a little human leg bone can take my life. HAHA

Are there any similar misc objects that cause the same situation?

    Sticks or rocks or leaves?

there are not sticks, rocks or leaves in Skyrim, not ones with physics anyway (unless your count ores as rocks). any clutter like pots, plates, soul gems, do this but because they are rarely ignored, not a lot of people trip over them. but that's just me.
