This is fantastic! However, there's a mild problem - the first selection for hair color was changed from blonde to brown. This will affect NPC face generation because some characters with blonde hair will consequentially have brown hair. Hopefully you can publish a new version that corrects the hair color selection order? Thanks!

Maybe some people hate blondes though, which would make this a feature.

For some reason the hair colors aren't showing up for me, I'm playing with the superior lore-friendly hair textures that were in the reccomended.  Could it be a load order issue?  The SLF textures don't show up as a mod in my order for some reason but it still seems to work so I'm not sure how I would push this mod above it.  Any advice?

Depending on which "order" you're looking at, that sounds normal. One of them only shows mods with plugins, so texture mods like SLF wouldn't show up there. It sounds like you have SLF installed properly.

As for this mod, it may be a load order issue if another mod edits these same records and is loaded after this one. I suggest putting this at the bottom of your order to test it. If that fixes it, then it was a load order issue.

Hi! I want to update to 2.0 in mid-playthrough, if its possible. If I just overwrite old esp file there will be no problems? Or did I need to do something specific? Tnx!

Your game would work fine, but I believe NPCs would continue to have the hair colors from before you updated.

i was literally about to compare this mod to another one to see if i was gonna change cus i thought the black hair was too dark when i saw you updated them a few days after i downloaded lmao, i really love the colors you used, especially in the update! theyre all distinct but not too extreme on either end, good work!

What mod did you compare with and what exactly do you think is better here?

i was gonna compare it with Realistic Hair Colors! i much prefer this one though, RHC's colors are a bit too extreme and out of place, like the blondes are almost white or neon yellow, i much prefer the palette in Mild, they're softer and more subtle but still have a good range with its colors and just more.. mild

hmm dang, for some reason this mod doesn't work in my game. i installed it, but i'm still seeing vanilla hair colors, including those ugly green-ish blondes. :( anyone has any idea what could possibly cause it and how to fix it?

to specify the issue a bit more - on my end the mod works for player character only. but on NPCs the vanilla colors show up instead.

Hmm... are you using anything to overhaul the NPC appearances, or are they pretty much vanilla?

some hair + eye texture replacers, and "Kireina Skyrim SE - Human and Elf Facegen Overhaul" - do you think it conflicts with your mod somehow?

All of these are compatible and I use them myself. The resulting colors on the hair replacer may vary (or match perfectly) depending on its textures, but that's something you'll just have to try in-game and decide if you like the result.

the thing is, your mod seems to work perfectly on the player character. only NPCs still have vanilla hair colors. so i'm not sure it's related to any particular textures...

I don't remember exactly, but I think you need to either make a new save, or open the Creation Kit with your mods loaded and regenerate facegen.

gotcha. how do i regenerate the facegen? i kinda know how, but not sure which mod to set as master - yours or the facegen overhaul. i don't want to break anything accidentally ^^

I'm still trying to figure out facegen, too, but I think Skyrim should be the master but you should still load these mods too (if I'm reading this correctly):

Black hair still exists, but some hair textures might change the look of the colors, including black.

I've been noticing that many of the Redguards in my game have bright white hair instead of the more lore-friendly black or dark gray. Do you think that could be due to this mod?

    Hi !
Your Quaint Eyes have always a specific place in my mods list, and I'd like to add that your Mild Hair Colors work flawlessly in LE without even needing any resave in ck :)
Thank you for your work !

I've now added a change log for version 2. But in case it doesn't suit someone's lighting or preference, version 1 will remain available.
      And thank you!
