A few little nuggets to bear in mind while using iEquip, and before reporting any issues:
First off, there is absolutely no reason for you to use iEquip exclusively for your equipping. You can equip items in any way you like, by cycling the iEquip queues, by using other hotkey mods, SkyUI Favourites Group Sets, through the menus, etc and iEquip should keep up with you and show the correct thing in the widget (if you have the Auto Add options turned on). So if you prefer the ability to instantly equip items using your favourite hotkey mod then keep doing that and dining use iEquip for display, poisoning, recharging, Ammo Switching, QuickLight, QuickRestore, etc etc.
Trying to cycle too rapidly (ie faster than the widget animations can keep up with), or beginning to cycle again before a previous equip cycle has completed, can occasionally cause the widget to display the wrong thing or nothing at all. Usually cycling that slot using the hotkeys will refresh it. Failing that a save/reload should resolve any other issues. If neither of those courses of action resolve it then by all means report it.
iEquip keeps track of everything in all of your queues and monitors for those items leaving your inventory. In that event the items are cached, and if later added back into your inventory are automagically re-added to the queues they were previously in. This is fine in normal gameplay, however getting thrown in jail, or using Store All/Take All containers, particularly if you have a large number of items in your inventory and assigned to your queues, can cause a bit of 'overflow' in iEquip and you can end up with some items remaining in your queues after they have left your inventory. If this happens then you will need to use the Queue Management menus to clean up your queues.
iEquip does a LOT behind the scenes every time you cycle or equip. If you are someone used to playing with a keyboard rammed with hotkeys and switching at insane speed between items, you may need to tone it down a little! We have optimized things a huge amount over the past few months, but there is still only so much it can do in such a short space of time.
Tip for speeding up cycling slightly - turn off the Queue Position Indicators and Attribute Icons in the MCM.
Gamepad users - if you aren't using Gamepad++ (why not?) and you want to disable the DPad Up/Down Favourites:
Find your controlmap.txt (interface/controls/pc/) and in the Main Gameplay section change this line:
Favorites0x100xff0x0001,0x00021100x908 to this:
Favorites0x100xff0xff1100x908 Delete any controlmap_custom.txt in you main Skyrim folder. Load into the game, open Settings > Controls and click Reset Defaults to make sure the change sticks.
THIS IS OLD INFORMATION BUT I AM LEAVING IT HERE JUST IN CASE IT IS OF GENERAL USE TO ANYONE

iEquip 1.6.2 has been released which includes a fix (I hope) for items disappearing mysteriously from the left hand queue. Please read the changelog for full details.
IMPORTANT - If you are updating from 1.6.0 and are having problems with the widget not appearing:
There was a bug in the Equip Last Item code that could result in papyrus being stuck in an infinite loop, causing stack dumps due to script lag, and causing the mod not to initialise correctly on loading into an existing save. The most obvious symptom is the widget failing to appear. If you are experiencing any of these issues with 1.6.0 you MUST follow these instructions to the letter before updating.
Download and install version 6.0.310 of Fallrim Tools if you haven't already got it (make sure you use the version mentioned) and give markdf serious props for an awesome tool.
Launch ReSaver and select the save file you wish to fix.
Now click on things in the exact order shown below:

This should take you to the owner script instance. Scroll down in the bottom right panel until you find the two marked Integer variables:

Click on the value for currentIndex and edit it so it is the same as startIndex:

Now click on any other value so that the one you just edited is no longer highlighted.
Now resave your save, allow it to overwrite and exit ReSaver. Move the now remaned original save files (the ones with the date appended to the filename) to somewhere else other than the save folder so that they're out of the way. Then load into your game, wait for a minute, then save and exit. Do NOTHING else either in ReSaver or in game. Now load the new save into ReSaver and see if you still have thousands of suspended stacks. If you don't then your save should be good to update to 1.6.1?
This appears to be a Vortex issue. I have reported it on their GitHub. For now once you have installed what it allows you to simply open the mod zip and copy the contents of either the 00 SE or 00 AE folder as required into wherever Vortex has installed the rest of the iEquip files and you should be good to go. Do NOT continue with a save if you have loaded in with the files missing, go back to your last save before you partially installed iEquip, follow these instructions and make sure it loads and works correctly before continuing.
2/1/22 - Re-uploaded 1.6.4 with a small change in the installer which should now allow Vortex users to manually select their game version when the automated check fails.
if use MO2 there's 2 ways First: You select the orignal iEquip in the mod manager, right click and open the folder, go to SKSE>Plugins then dump the files there and overwrite it.
Second: Drag the zip file below the original iEquip, when the window shows, right click to create a directory, name it "SKSE", then right click inside the new folder called SKSE and create a new directory called "Plugins" and drag both files inside the folder Plugins.
I don't use Vortex but I believe the process is the same.
THANK YOU!!! IT WORKS NOW. I PASTED THE DLL YOU PROVIDED INTO THE "00AE" FOLDER (00 AE\SKSE\Plugins) FOLDER WHICH COULD BE FOUND INSIDE THE IEQUIP ZIP. THEN RE-ZIPPED IT INTO A NEW ZIP FILE TO LOAD INTO VORTEX, WORKED LIKE A CHARM!! THANKS AGAIN!! NOW -ALL I HAVE TO DO IS FIGURE OUT HOW THE HECK TO USE IEQUIP, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ALL THESE SETTINGS DO!
Installing this mod is a pain in the neck when trying to configure XP32 and Belt fastened quivers, I spent 4 hours trying to configure it and never could, in the MCM I only could change to the frost fall animation but never the position. This mod change my belt fastened quiver position to vanilla. So I decided to eliminate it and use Edryus widget s which is waaaay simpler
Just forgot how to change the position of belt fastened quivers.. iequip changes it to vanilla position....and I don't remember how to change it back to belt quivers position,,, please help
this is confusing, i was under the impression it was some sort of menu for quick access but it's trying to predict things and things are being queued i have no idea what's going on lol
Hi! When I install your mod, and boot up the game, I get the error:
"A DLL plugin has failed to load correctly, if a new version of Skyrim was just released, the plugin needs to be updated. Please check the mod's webpages for updates.
iEquipUtil.dll: disabled, only compatible with versions earlier than 1.6.629
Continuing to load may result in lost save data or other undesired behavior. Exit game? (yes, highly suggested)"
Anything I can do to fix this?
EDIT: Following the comment of @shellphish08 fixed the issue for me!
Hi! Great mod, seems to be all working fine on AE 1.6.353 as everything loads and is configurable.. but I must be some sort of idiot and doing something wrong. So the D pad directions are the hotkeys, and hover over item/weapon in menu, press hotkey (d pad direction) and it adds to queue right? Except it only works for up and down, the d pad left/right just goes to the next tab ie from Armor to weapons and no weapon gets added. Tbh on the up/down you have to be above or below the required item then move up to it and it gets added then works via d pad in game as it should. How to add weapons then without it scrolling across to the next tab all the time? I use auto input switch, could there be an issue there? Having only potions and shouts on quick select is wac and misses half the mod, and a fantastic mod it is!
tl;dr - D pad is controlling menu scrolling, negating the ability to add items to left and right hotkeys, so no weapons!
can't stand this mod. Idk why consume potion wouldn't be something like press B once. Instead you have to hold it it down mid fight. Then you start to wonder why the hell it's not using the potion. It usually works once for me, then if I try and use it again I get nothing. Frustrating.
Edit Well I guess I'll have to just get used to it since attempting to disable this mod corrupts my save
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The message boxes are empty, first off. Second, when I hover over inventory items and press a hotkey, nothing happens. The mod is initializing in the MCM menu. Running this on the GOG version. Also, when I used the suggested version from the installer, the 1.6 version, it hard crashed my game even though I have the latest GOG release. Then, when I reverted to the 1.5 version, it ran but I have the above errors. Additionally, it takes about 2 seconds to change a weapon, is there a setting I can adjust to change that behavior? Any help?
