    NOTICE ABOUT TITLE SCREEN INFINITE LOADING ISSUE

    It has been determined that residual references to a removed redundant package on Aventus Aretino in other mods' USSEP compatibility patches is the cause for the recent spate of Infinite Loading Screen problems associated with the 4.1.8+ updates. Though related to the change, the root cause is an unresolved reference error in USSEP compatibility solutions in other mods. If you are familiar with xEdit usage, go to formID 14132 to get to Aventus Aretino, and remove the unresolved reference error in Aventus's AI package list subrecord in whatever mods have overrides on that form.</p>
    <p>I need a list of mods affected, so I can alert them to the change. Post mods I have not yet listed. So far, I have notified the following mods:

    * TK Children
    * RS Children (FIXED)
    * Simple Children (User-created ESPFE fix module linked in mod page's comments)
    * Killable Children
    * Axe's RS Children Mod
    * Improved Adoptions
    * Immersive Weapon Integration (FIXED)

    There has been a rash of people demanding we provide copies of USSEP for outdated versions of the game, specifically 1.5.39. Please stop asking us to do this. We do not support outdated copies of the game under any circumstances and we NEVER have. Update your games and you'll eliminate the problem.

    Now then. 4 things:

    1. 1.5.39 is the version most commonly used by pirates. You raise our suspicions whenever this specific version is being asked for.
    2. Required means REQUIRED. End of story.
    3. Take your anti-CC and anti-Bethesda hatemongering back to the 76 forums and leave us out of it.
    4. Asking me about this in a PM will result in me simply deleting said PM without an answer. You already have the answer here and that's not going to change because you PM'd me.

    Any further posts on this subject will result in immediate deletion and loss of access to the comments AND the download. We're tired of it. DROP THE SUBJECT.

    We are aware that Skyrim VR for PC has been released. Bethesda has made it clear that the VR versions of the game do not support the use of mods. As a result, this mod will not be supported for anyone attempting to use it on a VR version of the game. You do so at your own risk and any incompatibilities, breakages, or other issues are entirely out of our control. Take note that even if Bethesda later changes their mind on this, VR equipment is too expensive to justify the purchase just for the sake of making sure the mod works with it. Also, the data files on the VR version are not identical so we cannot guarantee compatibility with any of it.

    Folks, don't post requests here for help with illegally jailbroken console systems. Your posts will be deleted without a response. If you attempt to repost the same question you will be reported to staff for it.

    For obvious reasons we only support legal copies of the game and the systems it's played on and cannot help you with your problems.

    Starting to get why other mod authors have a wall of stickies about stuff like this now, but:

    This mod thread is not a general troubleshooting area. We are here to provide support for the use of USSEP in your game, not to provide general support for every tangentially related thing in your games. We have been noticing lately that these types of posts coming here are leading people to the false conclusion that this patch is responsible for those problems and then they tell others elsewhere and all context is lost. This ends now.

    From now on, any post not having something directly to do with the USSEP itself is not permitted here. Go and use the general forums for your general troubleshooting. Nexus has plenty of people who frequent those areas, and so does Reddit. Please go and use those. There are also a number of mod support chat rooms on Discord you could use as well.

    Posts violating this will be locked, removed, and the posters possibly blocked as well.

    SOME KNOWN ERROR WHEN ENTERING A DUNGEON, in several I get an automatic closure with a "skyrim message that has stopped working", an example of a dungeon that results in a "skyrim stopped working" is "gloomreach hive"

      It isn't the Patch or any mod in my load, as I got into Gloomreach Hive just fine. You will need to consult more general troubleshooting venues. Please refer to the last post in the sticky stack.

    Arniel's Shade now appears without his hood, is this intentional? Couldn't find anything about it in the changelog. Thanks!

      Maybe you couldn't find it in logs because USSEP didn't cover this and your "issue" is caused by another mod ?

      I play a fairly lightly modded game and this comes and goes with the Patch. But at least I take it that it is a weird thing to happen.

      Arniel's Shade appears with no hood, because Arniel Gane did not wear a hood in life. A great many inconsistencies in Arniel's Shade with live Arniel and with ghosts were corrected by the Patch.

      As for the lack of a ticket, it's because it was from a very early USKP version. Here's the entry in question, in USKP version 1.2.4, released Nov 21, 2012

      The ghostly Arniel Gane one can summon after finishing his questline now actually looks like him.

    Oi, i read the sticky about the troubleshooting area and i understand it but i am in dire need of help and i'm not sure if it's related to my mod setup or to skyrim after a pretty extensive investigation and a complete lack of answers

    I've recently gotten a bug which i never heard of or experienced before, where the quest the throat of the world doesn't start right after aldiun's wall ends, it just ends and nothing else happens, esbern and delphine return to their respective locations prior to alduin's wall, tried reloading a previous save file and even force start it via console commands but it doesnt work, i wanted to know if USSEP covers something similar to this

    P.D. :By the way my game copy of skyrim se is downloaded from steam and completely original

      If you acquire Clear Skies or Dragonrend via console, the quest will never start.
      This is the only method I'm aware of that triggers this bug.

      Thing is i never attempted to add the shouts via console, just to start the quest forcefully (with the command setstage mq204 10) but as i said it never worked

    NPCs have NO unlimited bolts or arrows anymore, so when they shoot all the ammo, they cannot reload and just stand with the bow or crossbow in their hands, like Thieves Guild, Dawnguard or Blades NPCs, who used to shoot at targets. Don’t know, which MOD caused this – USSEP, AI Overhaul or Legendary Crossbows, but before it was enough 1 bolt or arrow to let them shoot constantly. It would be better, to restore this unlimited bolt-arrow ability to NPCs, because their shooting weapons became useless.

    The vampire lair inside Cronvagr cave has a patch of "falmer celling glow" on the top, not sure if it's intentional from Bethesda but there are no falmers around and it looks out of place so I think it's an oversight.

      Fill out a ticket on the tracker so it's cataloged. Bug reports get lost if they're reported in the comments.

    I got a problem with CTD when entering (first time) the Bleak Falls Barrow. I was searching how to fix it on the internet and I found out suggestion to look by SSEEdit which mods altering the area and try to disable them. So I found the Cells that belong to the Bleak Falls Barrow and I found out that only USSEP is Reffered by. I tryied to uncheck all my plugins (USSEP too) (I got around 200 plugins) and then I teleported into the BFB from menu by command (to faster start new game and faster go there) and CTD again. I tryied to teleport into the exterior and enter it by main gate and CTD again. So I will try to reinstal the whole game and I try some tweaks with problematic mods I found out on the internet and then we'll see, but I just want to make you know in advance so maybe you will know something about it because you are more experienced than me or if this is bug about USSEP you maybe will look how to fix it or whatever, just to make you know and I will update my progress in replies.

      CTD when entering Bleak Falls Barrow is definitely not linked to USSEP. For sure you have another mod that is creating the problem.

      CTD when entereing a new cell could be linked to missing some master files for some mods of yours. Maybe one mod needs additional mods (requirements) installed to work properly.

      If USSEP was the cause of CTDs in such a MQ-critical place, we would be inundated with reports. We know what that looks like, we've seen it before.

      Nah, it is most likely caused by RaceMenu. Version 0.4.15 had issues related to draugr and caused crashes everywhere they are present. Just update to version 0.4.16 and the problem will be solved.

    Don't adopt Britte and Sissel before killing Grelod when you use the Unofficial Patch: Once Grelod is dead, the patch moves them to Honorhall and makes them stay there, regardless of where they actually are supposed to be.

      Well, found a fix: Purchase another player home, if you haven't yet at least two, then move your children to the new home. Britte and Sissel will follow suit. Then, if you want, you can move them back to your intended player home.
      Only downside will be that they'll still ask you if you're going to adopt one of them (well, actually no, I have 2 already... lol), but that shouldn't matter too much.

      No, the patch is doing no such thing. You killing their guardians is what caused them to get moved to the orphanage, which is exactly how Bethesda intended things to work. And you couldn't have adopted either one of them before said guardians were killed by you either because the vanilla game doesn't allow that.

      So maybe you really need to do some proper troubleshooting on the child mods you're using to find out what they're allowing to happen that shouldn't be.

      Grelod specifically says none of them will get adopted on her watch, on account of her being a cruel old hag. You will need to dispense with her to enable adoption at Honorhall, as is designed by BGS. If you are able to adopt them before Grelod kicks it, then that is due to a mod. The USSEP only answers to the main game and the three official DLCs.
