(DISCLAIMER: This is not my mod, this is Ro84's mod for Oldrim found at https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65277/?. I only ported it to SSE and copy-pasted his details section. His work is amazing and I wanted more people to be able to enjoy it on SSE.)

(Check out Ro84's other mods here, hopefully if I have time I can port all of his work to SSE. Truly beautiful.)

(Let me know in the comments if you would like any mods ported to SSE! I'll try to queue some up to work on in the future.)

Windstad Estate Upgraded

INTRODUCTION

Living in a cool swamp is charming, expecially if you are a mage: misterious foggy lands with plenty of dangerous animals and outcasts are perfect for a mage. Not quite a good place for children. However, even if you are an experienced alchemist or enchanter, you have a family: a beautiful spouse, two sweet children... and you care about them. After epic battles and dangerous journeys, you are finally planning to retire at private life, enjoying your family and your prosperity in a great nobiliar estate that also reflects your nature.

If this is your case, you can try this mod.

REQUIREMENTS
* Skyrim, last official patch
* Hearthfire

WHAT IS NEW?
This mod transforms your lone and dangerous Windstad Manor into a nobiliar estate, protected by walls and surrounded by a fully upgraded courtyard. There is also a total of 24 new weapon racks all around the property.

Promenade and Gazebo - the best part of your estate is the great Promenade in the west side. A long bridge with a cooking stand, furnished with a cooking pot, an oven, a churn and some barrels. The Promenade leap over the wall, leading to a Gazebo. From this vantage point you can enjoy the great arc of Solitude, the desolate land of the swamp, and the white icebergs on the Sea of Ghosts.
Blacksmithing Shack - the blacksmithing area behind your (vanilla) house is now a fully-furnished laboratory, with a forge and a tanning rack. There is also a shack with many containers, safes and strongholds, and 8 weapon racks. This upgrade is RND-compatible, since the area for the well added by that mod is left untouched.
Alchemist garden - if you are a good achemist, you will like to have this garden, well integrated with the peculiar environment and rich of plants and insects. An alchemy table with a satchel is available near the garden, as well as an apiary.
Coachman Shack - a small house for your coachman, just to increase immersion (even he will not sleep in the bed, but I feel sad to see him alone out there). It is a shack, but it has noble furnishings.
Vegetable garden - of course your family needs to eat. So here is a vegetable garden. A grain mill is also available.
Fishing Shack - a shack near the fish hatchery, outside of the wall, with a table and many hanging salmons, some shelves and fish barrels. A wooden fence surrounds the area.
Keys - the gates require the key to open. You can find a key inside the fishing shack, one into the Coachman Shack and three more into the Blacksmithing Shack.
Miscellaneous - some more trees, shrubs, rocks. Removed a lot of grass. Moved animal predator generator whose spawning points were inside to the courtyard.

NOTE: the original log pile has been moved under the Promenade. Even if you have sawn logs available, the log pile desn't show the number of logs you have; you can see how many you have by checking it in the working table or walking near the vegetable garden. Sadly, this is a well-known Creation Kit issue. If you don't have sawn logs, the log pile doesn't show, as normal.
If you want to get rid of that, you can open the console and type "player.drop xx00300e <number of logs that you have>" (xx are depending on your Hearthfire.esm load position. Example: "player.drop 0500300e 12" if you have Hearthfire.esm in the 5th postion and you have 12 sawn logs). A random item (may be similar to an elven boot) will drop by you with the name "sawn log". Yes, this is really odd, since sawn logs are not intended to drop in normal conditions. You can drag this "item" wherever you want; if you will need some sawn logs again in future, justtake the "item" and this will bring you back the logs that you have had.

INSTALLATION
Be sure to have bought the plot of land and have built your house, of course!

* Stay away from Windstad Manor exterior before installing;
* Make a strong back-up save (this is always true before trying new mods);
* Drag and drop the .ESP file into Skyrim's Data folder, or let it manage by your Mod Manager, if you have any.

UNINSTALLATION
* Stay away from Windstad Manor before uninstalling;
* Delete the .ESP file in Skyrim's Data folder, or let it manage by your Mod Manager, if you have any.

I strongly suggest you to use ModOrganizer, so you can easily manage as many character as you want, activating and de-activating this (and similar) mod depending on your characters' level.

FAQ
Q: Any performance loss?
A: No, it shouldn't. There are no new textures or items, just vanilla ones sorted and arranged to build the estate.

Q: Do you plan to add this *random* furniture/showcase/other?
A: Depends. I'm open to any suggestion, but I will address only ideas that make sense and are suitable for the ratio of this mod. And, of course, if I'm able to address them! Anyway, I will wait for more than one lone idea, before updating.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
This mod is somewhat inspired by Ac3s mod Lakeview Extended, even with many substantial differences. My main character elected that house as main residence only thanks to that mod.
